Quietly understated from the outside, but crisp linen on the tables and our hopes were up. Food was really tasty and hot, we chose a *very* nice white Rioja to go with our fish mains and it was really smooth and complemented nicely. Service was attentive but not over the top and would recommend Cigala even to those who are used to the more expensive, Piccadilly area, restaurants.

My second visit was as good as the first. The set lunch menu is excellent value.

Nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. Food was tasty and well cooked. Menu has all the choices you would expect from a Spanish restaurant. Portions are not huge. The best value for money is the paella. Good selections of wines / sherry's. Nice for a romantic dinner

Cigala is a bit off the beaten track for a Saturday evening out. However, it is well worth the effort. The ambience and staff are welcoming at this busy neighbourhood restaurant. Lots of choice for vegetarians, pescatarians and omnivores. Apart from the a la carte options we were offered the option of selecting from a variety of small plates. Three per person turned out to be plenty, and the choices included many of the specials available for the Christmas period. The food was very good and enjoyed by all at our table without exception. The wine list is extensive with many good value options. We had a delightful evening and are sure to return.

The owner was proudly telling us that the restaurant has been here for many years. This was understandable for two reasons, both his pride and the longevity. A simple restaurant to look at but great food. Well recommended in an area where I've struggled to find goof tapas.

This is probably my 3rd visit to Cigala and it never fails to satisfy. Great tapas as well as great main dishes should be really hungry.

I've been coming to Cigala for more than 10 years now - it was excellent to start with, then it took a turn for the worse a couple of years ago and the last time I was there, food was again to die for. Take a selection of tapas, choose from extensive wine list and enjoy yourself! I'll be back soon ..

Alwats busy atmosphere and a constantly changing menu so you dont end up opting for the same thing evert time. Spoilt for chioce on the tappas menu..... so many that they shrinked the font to get them all on the same page. Its nor easy to get sapnish food right in the way that it should be but these guys hit the back of the net each time. The rice dishes are amazing and the blak squid ink risotto which is served in a huge paiella pan is to die for.....well done if u can finish it as there is always an abundece...

Cigala led the charge for Spain years ago and is still a favourite. Fun people with good advice and consistently good food. And Lamb's Conduit Street to explore before or afterwards.

This is definitely one for the aficionados of Spanish cooking - the tapas menu is extensive and offers both all-time favourites and seasonal goodies; the main courses are either paella or fideua based, featuring fresh crustacea, chicken, squid and catch of the day. This is a place to bring friends and family, to sit back and enjoy the feast on the table, without ceremony or fuss. Decor is perhaps a little stark, being mostly white, with little decorative addition, and large windows which expose diners to the passing world outside. My one criticism would be the smell of damp in the loos downstairs - this needs sorting!
