Outdoor seating with a view of the river is beautiful. Great service. Food with a Cuban flair I think. It was delicious but pretty different than what you get at other equally nice restaurants. Definitely worth a try...
“Avocado toast” wasn’t what anyone would expect. It was a piece of griddled Texas Toast topped with flavorless *scrambled* eggs (!) and unripe avocado slices. It was like something one may have made at home in a pinch, but definitely not something one would pay for in a restaurant.
We appreciate your feedback and are hopeful to exceed your expectations on your next visit!
It's spacious. The view is spectacular. You're at the foot of Beale and your looking over the Mississippi River. I'm sure sunsets are unforgettable. There's open and airy indoor dining or there's a marvelous patio toward the river. It's very new as I write this review so it's crisp and clean and the decor is on point. The menu is nice and the concept seems to be a mash up of Southern and latin american cuisine. That's an intriguing concept anyhow. We ate brunch, which was nice, but might not be the best representation of what the restaurant is capable of. The service: ***this is during the pandemic. Our world has been run by high school and college students who just left their summer jobs to go back to school, so... The service was...not good. The waiter staff din't seem to get along or enjoy their jobs. Our waitress disappeared for extended periods of time and was inattentive. The food looked great. the others at the table enjoyed their food. Mine was avocado toast which is actually very plain there so not much to report.
GregH, Thank you very much for taking time to share your insights from your visit. We apologize for the lack of service that you received and have shared your commentary with our team as a learning opportunity to grow from. We hope to see you again soon to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations!
The service was really good but the food was over priced and not that tasty. The fries came out cold even tho they were replaced with a fresh hot batch.
The food was so vibrant and the flavors were put together perfectly. It was completely unexpected but absolutely delicious. This is a dining experience Memphis was missing.
Thank you very much for sharing your recent experience with us! We look forward to serving you again soon!
Excellent food. Great service. Definitely pricey, but overall you get what you pay for😊
Thank you for sharing and we hope to see you again soon!
We dined for Memphis Dining Week and were blown away by the dishes offered! The service was spectacular and we had a great view of the M bridge. We will definitely be dining here again!
Memphis downtown dining week at Cimas started w/a drunken Peruvian cocktail followed by an appetizer of pan-seared scallops on a bed of elote, then grilled cobia topped w/chimmichuri sauce, rice w/field & green peas. Dessert was a peach & ginger turnover w/toasted pine nut infused whipped cream. All-in-all, an extraordinary palate pleaser.
The food was very tasty- great combination of flavor and texture. The service was a little slow which normally wouldn’t have mattered because the view was so nice and it felt nice to sit outside, but the mosquitoes started biting us and we were absolutely miserable and ended up just standing inside while we waited for the check. The server also asked if we were there for a special occasion. I said it’s my sister’s birthday, but no birthday treat was provided. I’d prefer they didn’t ask if they can’t provide something.
The view of the river was beautiful even sitting on the inside. The drink menu was limited for brunch but the food was great. Our server, Marcus, was amazing. Since I didn’t get an alcoholic drink, he put my lemonade in a cute martini glass. I loved it.
TJay, We sincerely appreciate your time in sharing feedback with us! We're happy that you enjoyed brunch with us and that Marcus provided great service for you...we love him too! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Fabulous food service and ambiance! Will definitely be back!!!
This restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the hotel. The clientele at the hotel were very loud, walking through the lobby in their bathing suits.
The valet was hard to find and took way too long. So the atmosphere getting to the restaurant was terrible.
The food was above average.
The food was ok a little over price...just know you will have to pay a Beale Street tax, and the bar will automatic add a 20% tip to your bill. Other than that I enjoyed having drinks on the rooftop.
Thank you for sharing feedback from your recent visit, we truly appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!
First timers at Cimas! Highly recommend the breakfast tacos, cornflake French toast, and the Mimosa flight! Great spot downtown with great views!
Thank you for sharing your feedback, we really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!
Great ambiance and great food! Nice views as well!
Thank you for the great review...we truly appreciate it and hope to see you back soon!
Great spot. Food was delicious. The patio was perfect--except the flies we aggressive! When the construction is finished it will be optimal. The view is already pretty great. I will certainly be back. Great waitstaff. He was attentive w/o being intrusive and even gave my son a birthday cupcake without us asking.
Hello! Thank you for sharing feedback from your recent visit with us and we hope to see you back soon!
Fantastic food at a reasonable price for the quality!
Thank you for sharing a review, we appreciate it and look forward to serving you again soon!
The food was absolutely amazing!! We were a little shocked that the mimosa was $13!
Hello and thank you very much for your feedback! We're happy that you enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to serving you again soon!
First, let me say that I understand the difficulties in the service industry right now. Our food was excellent. Our server did the best he could but the facility was woefully understaffed. I usually would not be so vocal to complain except we saw the manager sitting at the bar doing computer work while the limited servers were taking on water. We watched our drinks sit at the bar for at least 45 minutes before they were delivered to us. All the while the manager walked around, sat at the bar, and did nothing to help. I can excuse poor service from a thin staff but I cannot excuse witnessing zero leadership from the folks charged with running the place. I have a friend that runs a restaurant, and she would do anything to run food, drinks, and help her servers out. That's a basic role of a management job.
We loved the place and the food , if only they could control the flies indoors it would have been perfect but nonetheless it was good and after dinner , don’t forget to go upstairs to beck & call and grab a drink on the roof , it’s beautiful there!!
Thank you for sharing feedback from your recent visit with us...we hope to see you again soon!
Eating alone during Covid is always a little too quite but CIMAS was very nice. Open and clean. The hostess offered me a seat against the window toward the river, great view but too much sun. I opted for a window seat road-side. Had the blackened Coiba. It was wonderful. I really enjoyed the hopping’ John which I haven’t had for years. Great food. Had the “One Night in Jalisco”. Cocktail. Liked it a lot but make sure you like spicy, it is. Only 4-stars due to the really crappy rum selection. Bacardi and Bacardi. That’s it. I expected more from a Caribbean restaurant. If you want a rum selection try the bar at the Hilton Garden In. On Union.
Hello and thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We hope to see you back again soon...and we'll add more rum!
We had a great experience and didn’t have a bad dish.
Thank you for sharing feedback and we hope to see you again soon!
Was not impressed with the food. Small portions for price compared to other high end restaurants. I would go back for the cocktails (even though overpriced) and ambiance.
The food here is always fantastic and the service is always friendly and attentive. Plus, the views over the river are amazing.
Wonderful first time eating at Cimas. The view was lovely, the service top notch, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Both the service and the food were EXCELLENT. Of course the view can’t be matched either!
Thank you for taking time to share your experience with us! We hope to see you again soon!
Food was great! Our server Tucker was amazing!
When we arrived we tried to use the valet service but after waiting about 10 minutes they told us the valet is only for hotel guest and not for the restaurant at this time. We paid for parking around the corner then walked in. Server quickly stopped by took our app drink and dinner order all at thr same time. Drink and app came out quickly about 10 minutes. My wife and I both ordered the same fish dish which took about 35 minutes to come out. Our fish was a over cooked but the sides were outstanding.
We had a great evening. Service was very good. The menu is very limited, but with enough variety to accommodate multiple tastes.
The service was atrocious; the manager was having to fill in, take orders, and serve; I had to accost him to get acknowledgment; we placed a drink order, but after reviewing the menu, found it unimpressive; we canceled our drink order and left
Everyone I encountered was helpful and pleasant. Our waiters Marcus and Tyler were wonderful. We had a great view of the review, and the food was delicious. I will definitely visit again.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us...Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Will definitely go back often.
We were there for my birthday celebration. Everyone we spoke to was super friendly, from the hostess, the managers, and wait staff. When we were seated at a table inside, we asked if we could sit outside. It took a few minutes, but the hostess was able to sit us outside. There were no other tables occupied out there, so it was nice to have the patio all to ourselves. KT greeted us with water after what seemed like a good while, and he asked if we had been greeted, and we said no. He was able to take our drink and food orders since we had been waiting a while. We waited another good while for our drinks to come out, but they tasted perfect. Not too strong, not too weak. Our food came out a little bit later and it was so delicious! I ordered the sweet potato hash and the French toast for the table to share. Both were full of flavor and I left with a full belly! Our server April offered me either complimentary pancakes or a mimosa for my birthday. I opted for the mimosa since I already had the French toast with my meal. Overall, we had a nice experience dining there. It is part of a hotel, so the prices reflected that. Other than waiting a long time to be greeted once we sat down and also for our drinks, everything else was wonderful.
We truly appreciate your time in sharing your experience with us and look forward to serving you again very soon!
Great first time experience at CIMAS. Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday. We had the best table
In the house (indoor) with views of the river. Extremely professional, courteous and efficient service. Food presentation, taste and quality was excellent! Looking forward to visiting again!

Our server, Marcus, was awesome. Super helpful and kind. The food was fantastic. We came for brunch but I'm excited to come back for dinner.
