Cinnamon Bazaar is the latest restaurant & cocktail bar from Vivek Singh's range of Cinnamon restaurants, situated in London’s Covent Garden.

We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.

The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.

Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, and can accommodate 12 – 30 guests in this picturesque dining room, featuring its very own private bar. It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

Private Dining

Aptly named after Delhi’s ancient spice bazaar, Khari Baoli is also known as a ‘watering hole’ due to the well from which the 17th century market first originated. Fast forward to today and it is now Asia’s largest spice market playing host to millions of charismatic traders & shoppers who gather every day, not just to exchange ingredients but to feast and swap life stories- just like they’ve done for centuries. Khari Baoli dining room & bar Situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, the picturesque dining room seats up to 30 and features its very own private bar. Available for exclusive hire for parties between 12-30 guests, it is the perfect place for anybody looking to exchange their own stories with friends over fantastic food and drink! Our delicious Vivek Singh's feasting set menus start from £35 per head and offer easily priced packages to suit your party size and budget.

Food was ok but staff were anxious to clear plates and cutlery before everyone had finished eating - fine if we’d said we were anxious to get away quickly but we hadn’t!

I dined on a sunday so the available menus were brunch and afternoon tea, unfortunately the afternoon tea doesn't have GF alternatives so I couldn't have this. From the weekend brunch menu there were only a couple of veggie GF dishes, so I ended up paying for two sides, they were very tasty but would have preferred a proper meal. Also the chai tea was not great, quite watered down. However my friends that did have the afternoon tea said it was absolutely delicious.

The noise level is too high, but this is not specific to the Cinnamon Club.

Excellent and attentive service. The menu is really interesting and offers a different take on Indian influenced food. Everything we tried was absolutely delightful, subtle and yet somehow powerful flavours. The cocktails are a delight too.

Meh, not great Indian, but ok. Chefs are fundamentally decent but food was overpriced and generally not outstanding. Not bad for Covent Garden standards though

Had a very pleasant evening in Cinnamon Bazaar. Two of us fined, one being Vegan, the other Vegetarian. Plenty of choice and dishes adapted to suit our requirements where necessary. Would definitely go again. The only negative was waiting for our cocktails before our food arrived which took a long time. We had to call someone over who then dealt with getting them made straight away. Really pleasing menu and vibe at this new discovery for us.

The food was spectacular, it's just a shame the front of house staff didn't seem to be want to be there. We ordered a 3 course brunch and had to ask a couple of times for each course to come. Luckily we were in no rush. The guy who finally took our payment of the bill basically called us idiots for adding the tip to the card payments, as they wouldn't receive any of it, so we didn't.

The ambience was really pretty..colorful and festive. Loved the set up, everything felt so traditional Indian.

They could do better with the food menu.

We could make out from the tea taste that it wasn't made fresh and heated couple of times before serving, the bitter taste put us off.

Jodhpuri kachori filling was more like vegetable than the authentic moving daal mixture, though I liked it but not as expected.

Found the food overpriced for the taste.

Cinnamon Bazaar is an excellent venue - gorgeous to look at and very welcoming. We went for the afternoon tea designed in conjunction with Tamal Ray.
On the plus side - the pani puri and papdi chaat were excellent and came in good-sized portions. The teas were also good, especially the masala chai, and the presentation was great (the colourful teapots are a really lovely touch). The mishti doi, which I'd never had before, was lovely, and the mango really cut through the sweetness. The macaroon was also tasty.
On the not-so-good side - the savoury snacks weren't very good. For vegetarians, the beetroot and cucumber sandwich was bland, and was only decent when eating with liberal amounts of chutney. However, the paneer roll was good. In the non-vegetarian version, the fish in the fish finger sandwich was both a little overcooked and cold by the time we got it (the whole tea didn't arrive together). The chicken roll was great. However, portions were very small - approximately one slice of bread per person in total (if that), and the rolls (you got two each) were something you could eat completely in one bite.
This is the first time I've ever left an afternoon tea still feeling hungry, which was disappointing. I'd recommend Cinnamon Bazaar for the ambience, but not for the tea itself.

(WEEKEND BRUNCH) The food was outstanding. Expertly crafted and presented dishes. Depth of flavor and texture was intense.

Cocktails were delicious, and complemented the food wonderfully.

Service went from good to poor. As it got busier, it was clear that there were too many tables for the number of staff. When we had finished eating the main event, we sat with empty dishes for over 30 minutes. Even when we challenged our final course (dessert), we were met with some indifference. One particular member of staff had a fairly poor attitude, and always made us feel as if we were little more than inconvenience. This was somewhat balanced by another member of staff who couldn't have been friendlier. Swings and roundabouts, but consistency is key.

Overall, outstanding food with questionable service. Nevertheless, recommended if you're not too hurried and have time to dine.

One of the best restaurants I have eaten at. You must go! The food, service, drinks and atmosphere were all fault-less. In particular I would recommend the crab bonda, pepper fry, mango creme brûlée and any of the chaats (they were that good!). Anna Marie and Dana were extremely friendly and made a birthday occasion very special. The best service I have experienced in any restaurant and I will certainly be returning and recommending cinnamon bazaar to all!

We initially walked in at 6:45pm and was told there were no tables. Opentable saved the day and we managed to make a booking for 7pm. We were greeted by a very reluctant receptionist who insisted there were no tables and sat us at the bar despite having specified standard seating when I made the booking on Opentable). We waited 15 mins for someone to notice us and take our orders. Food itself was actually good, we really enjoyed the roganjosh shepherd's pie and the pork belly. Unfortunately our whole dining experience was tainted by the appalling welcome we received and we will definitely not return again.

Usually have a great time at this restaurant, have been back several times and recommended to friends, however my most recent trip was very disappointing. Poor level of service, especially the woman 'welcoming' us in who was very rude, acting confused when we said we had a booking. The cocktails were great but the food was very average, most of the dishes came cold and the 3 tandoori prawns for £22.50 did not seem good value at all. Redeemed slightly by an excellent dessert (carrot and ginger sticky toffee pudding) but overall not the experience we were expecting based on previous experience.

The restaurant was not busy - we had booked an early table because we were going to a show and it was our main meal of the day. The starters were good. My wife ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh Shepherd’s Pie for her main because it was described on the website as a top 100 meal. It was a huge disappointment - the lamb was dry and didn’t look as if it had been cooked in a sauce. When she cut open the chunks of lamb they were a greyish/pink colour. We only wanted to draw the manager’s attention to what we saw as a poor quality of meal. He was totally patronising and offered up the most ridiculous reasons for why the food looked the way it did - eg it’s a shepherd’s pie, not a curry”. Anyway, we won’t be back to the restaurant when we are next in London. We live in Glasgow and have enjoyed having a curry (usually lamb) at one of the best Indian restaurants most weekends for the last thirty years - The Shish Mahal in Park Road Glasgow.

Service was terrible. We booked a table for 10:30pm- but we were made to feel very unwelcome when we arrived- being told that the kitchen was closing so we had to order quickly and everything came at once. They closed the bar so we could only have bottled beer from half way through the meal. And after we’d eaten we spotted a mouse in the dining room- and all the waiter could do was laugh!
The manager did apologise and discount our food - but not sure how that solves the mouse problem!

The most stingy portion of afternoon tea, such a let down! Six pieces of pani puri between two of us despite ordering two teas! Two slices of sandwich no refills! Never again and won’t recommend to anyone either. most awful afternoon tea experience, overpriced and the tiny single macaron was so bad it was like a dry biscuit and looked like it was baked a week ago. Won’t be going to any of the cinnamon club restaurants after this experience and the staff had no idea what they were doing when my friend asked for a refill of the tea he was like oh I’m not sure if you can get anymore.

This is such a great restaurant. Indian tapas for those that like to share. Everything we had was delicious and we were charmed by the Buddha shaped beer bottles.

I’ve given three stars for the service because it was quite slow. When we did have our waiter’s attention, he was lovely and very knowledgeable. Either the restaurant was short staffed that night, or they need more staff. Anyway, it didn’t detract from the experience, which overall was great. Would recommend and will return.

Avoid this place, food is just ok nothing great.
Ordered set dinner but the flavours were just average, as I was expecting more since this comes in the cinnamon group. Now for service, if I could give zero star then this was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The service was just awful ... Food was late... No attention of the servers at all... We were waiting for half an hour for our plate to be picked up after we had finished the meal... and lastly I had mentioned in the booking that it was husband's birthday but the restaurant did not to give him a small surprise ( some dessert ) in fact he did not enjoy it all and was very annoyed with the restaurant and service. Definitely not coming back again and neither would advise my friends to come here.... Really disappointed :(
