Cinnamon Bazaar is the latest restaurant & cocktail bar from Vivek Singh's range of Cinnamon restaurants, situated in London’s Covent Garden.

We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.

The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.

Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, and can accommodate 12 – 30 guests in this picturesque dining room, featuring its very own private bar. It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

Private Dining

Aptly named after Delhi’s ancient spice bazaar, Khari Baoli is also known as a ‘watering hole’ due to the well from which the 17th century market first originated. Fast forward to today and it is now Asia’s largest spice market playing host to millions of charismatic traders & shoppers who gather every day, not just to exchange ingredients but to feast and swap life stories- just like they’ve done for centuries. Khari Baoli dining room & bar Situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, the picturesque dining room seats up to 30 and features its very own private bar. Available for exclusive hire for parties between 12-30 guests, it is the perfect place for anybody looking to exchange their own stories with friends over fantastic food and drink! Our delicious Vivek Singh's feasting set menus start from £35 per head and offer easily priced packages to suit your party size and budget.

I don't usually add reviews but had to for this one because lunch today was just AMAZING. We had the Chaat menu and everything was absolutely delicious, with great variety and just the right amount to feel satisfied. Will be returning.

Really slow service, we had to ask a passing waiter for menus after waiting 15 minutes. Understand it was a busy Saturday night but we then had to ask for our drink and food order to be taken and at the end of the meal we waited for 30 minutes for our bill to arrive. We went to another restaurant for dessert. Amazing Indian restaurants aren’t difficult to find in this area which offer good service, so we won’t be going back. Food was nice but really small portions for the price, my main was the size of a starter and the waiter tried to push for me to order more than one side with it.

Really lovely space with an interesting menu. Service was a little slow but that suited us. Only point to note is the dishes are on the hot side of spicy.

The service was not good- they couldn’t handle the number of people there.
Made me wait although I had a reservation, letting others who got there after in first. Completely disorganized.
Would not go again.
Food was ok not amazing

What a brilliant restaurant. Food excellent and really good attentive service by both bar and restaurant staff. Tables are close and when busy can be noisy but this is to be expected and adds to the atmosphere. Flavours of the food is exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service we received was not good. We had to wait a long time at all stages of the meal, they tried to serve two mains prior to serving the starters we'd ordered and we even had to remind them that we had got the bill and needed to pay.

“Buy experiences not things” is my motto but this was expensive with very small portions. Food nothing to massively write home. Would only bother with this place for the set menu. It was a very noisy cramped place styled like a canteen with only two waiters for the entire place hence service was very slow and we didn’t get our table water until we nearly finished. We went to Zedels the next day - okay, the prices are similar but the atmoshere was brilliant as was the service. And we had a great table for three hours. If you want to find upmarket Asian spiced food you will struggle here.

Cinnamon Bazaar had always been one of my favourite Indian restaurants in London since my husband and I discovered it a year ago. We might have visited this restaurant 4-5 times in one year and each time it was great quality food.

I decided to take my family visiting from India for the 5 course NYE dinner at Cinnamon Bazaar and I was really expecting to wow them.

Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations and the taste of food was rather poor on that particular day. The apps and starters did start on a good note but the mains were a REAL let down. All the dishes were served cold, the lamb biryani was bland, the black dal and paneer had none of the authentic Indian flavours which we had tasted on the previous occasions and in totality everything felt so under seasoned.

Understandably, though it was a busy night, we were expecting a more efficient service in between courses and at one point it did feel like we were a forgotten table.

I am unsure as to why the flavours were made really mild but that for me is not the essence of authentic Indian food.

Ambiance was the only saving grace. A poor experience that was certainly not value for money. Sad to be saying this but Cinnamon. Bazaar isn’t a favourite anymore. :(

The food of this restaurant is amazing, though they have done some fusion on the dishes, but still have not let go the indian flavour. I didn't like the ambience though, my food order got changed and the tea was freezing cold, hence a bit of reduction from the outstanding. It is not cheap but hey you get the value for the price, the tase is priceless. Must go and visit.

It could be the issue was that we were sat in the smaller, less lively upstairs dining room. Compared to Cinnamon Club, the food is average. Chaats were immaculate, Shepard’s Pie entree was dry, other curries, rice and naan were good but nothing unique or unusual. Cocktails were 99% ice and the staff forgot to bring them. We didn’t have napkins or utensils for a few moments after the first course arrived. Courses arrived somewhat slapdash, at one point our food was very much “dropped” off and the server muttered to herself “Jesus Christ”... We wanted a coffee at the end of dinner, the server was pushing a chai, we stated we just wanted regular coffee several times, it was loud in the room but we thought it was clear by the third time she offered a chai that we just preferred plain coffees. That server disappeared for 20 minutes, we asked the other server (the one who originally forgot our cocktails) for the bill, paid and left. (No coffee charges on the final bill.) Understandably, this is meant to be a casual environment, we did not expect the service quality of fine-dining locales, we did expect basic customary attention to detail and professionalism. While our experience was a Saturday night on a holiday weekend (29 Dec), the restaurant was only about 80% full. We do not think the issues we experienced were replicated around us, none of the other tables in the small area seemed to be wanting or trying to flag the servers down at any point. It could just be that we had a bit of bad luck by comparison.

Lovely ambience, attentive and warm management and staff. Probably best curry we ever enjoyed. The taster menu we selected allowed the chefs to show us what they do best! Exceptionally delicious and colourful in respect of the seafood and tender mutton. The fusion of spices vegetables, nuts and fruits were heavenly on the taste buds. Love it all.

Visited the Cinnamon Bazaar for a family meal before Christmas. The restaurant looks lovely and the general atmosphere is perfect, the staff are very friendly and provided great service.....however the food was a real disappointment for all of us. Some of the dishes such as the peshwari naan and the chaats tasted great, however the main courses that we had were a let down (including the shepherd's pie, jaipur okra) - they tasted ok but we were expecting a wow factor and something really exceptional, and unfortunately we were disappointed.
Overall, it is a nice restaurant but not as special as we had hoped.
