Cinnamon Bazaar is the latest restaurant & cocktail bar from Vivek Singh's range of Cinnamon restaurants, situated in London’s Covent Garden.

We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.

The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.

Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, and can accommodate 12 – 30 guests in this picturesque dining room, featuring its very own private bar. It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

Private Dining

Aptly named after Delhi’s ancient spice bazaar, Khari Baoli is also known as a ‘watering hole’ due to the well from which the 17th century market first originated. Fast forward to today and it is now Asia’s largest spice market playing host to millions of charismatic traders & shoppers who gather every day, not just to exchange ingredients but to feast and swap life stories- just like they’ve done for centuries. Khari Baoli dining room & bar Situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, the picturesque dining room seats up to 30 and features its very own private bar. Available for exclusive hire for parties between 12-30 guests, it is the perfect place for anybody looking to exchange their own stories with friends over fantastic food and drink! Our delicious Vivek Singh's feasting set menus start from £35 per head and offer easily priced packages to suit your party size and budget.

We arrived early around 6 pm on a Wednesday by 7 pm the place was absolutely full ... and not surprisingly as this is different and delightful. We were pre theatre dining and had very good service with food delivered promptly. This place is more akin to street food than fine dining but what it does it does we’ll Recommended

Very helpful and attentive staff (but not too attentive) made this a very enjoyable first visit to the Cinnamon Bazaar. Excellent food with a fast and efficient service.

We were 10 mins early and we were rushed to make our order even though we've never been before and it was a special occasion for my husband's 40th. We were in and out in 40 minutes!! We could tell they wanted us out because they had a big table to deal with next to us.
No recommendations or help ordering. Rude service! Hot hair con right at my husband and they never turned it down after we asked. Food was ok. Extremely disappointed and the most unjustified £90 we've spent!

Rogan Josh Shepherd’s Pie was a highlight. Maitre D’ was intense and preoccupied. Other staff very polite and friendly but for some reason you can only tip in cash. This place is decent if not spectacular, prices okay - perhaps a little much for what you get but in keeping with the location. I’d definitely eat there again if someone suggested it.

This was my second visit to Cinnamon Bazaar and I'm glad I returned! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff are all very friendly. The food is great- we particularly enjoyed the lamb kebab starter and pork belly main. We ordered from the pre-theatre menu which has a good balance of dishes for a reasonable price. We did feel the set menu should include rice (or roti) , but this was minor!

Had a reservation but we were still kept waiting 20 minutes in the entrance hall being jostled by staff who pointedly made it clear we were in the way. No apology for wait, just told it was "really busy". Waitress was lovely. Wine waiter was disdainful, unfriendly and obviously wished we weren't there. Food was small portion of curry mushy fish (reminded me of a Tesco Curry). I have lived in London all my life and this is the first time I have totally regretted going to a particular restaurant. We kept being told it was "really busy". Well keep it up guys and you wont be for much longer and will then have plenty of time to sit back, relax and go broke!

After coming here for drinks previously, I was actually disappointed by the food, service and general experience. It might have been due to it being Valentine’s Day but with the evening being advertised online and a special menu created, I’d expected more. Service was slow but polite and the food was a let down. We had a couple of starters to share which were ok, not very warm nor well cooked, seems reheated it left to stand for a while. Fish curry for main was also not great. The restaurant looks great from the outside but I wouldn’t rush back to eat which is a shame! (Maybe we will when it’s quieter!)

Honestly the worst restaurant experience I have had in London to date. Despite booking and arriving for our table at 7.00pm, we were told they would “be able to squeeze us in” and then it took 15 minutes to be seated to be seated upstairs as the person on front of house clearly forgot about us. The upstairs section looked like a service area with tens of dirty plates, which I would say was not suitable for someone that had made a reservation. It then took another 20 minutes to get a menu, which was not the offer available on OpenTable - they didn’t know what this was and I never got the menu that I chose when booking. The food was average, the staff were rude and the overall experience was horrendous. I brought someone here for a special occasion and it was thoroughly ruined.

Our second visit to Cinnamon Bazaar and our first not eating from a special menu or deal. It was delicious, but the portion sizes were very small and relatively expensive - it didn't seem like particularly good value, eating from the a-la carte menu. Food was very nice but not exceptional, although the service was really lovely.

The only way I can believe that this place has so many 4 and 5 star reviews is that the reviews are either fake and actually restaurant staff, or people don't know what decent food is. First of all there were 5 of us we got here at 5.15pm and I ordered from the set menu, I had to cancel my desert because the service was soo slow that by 7.15pm (2 hrs) I'd only just finished my main and I was going to the theatre that started at 7.30. I also ordered a vegan curry (I'm a vegetarian) and they brought me one with meat in it, it then took another 20 mins for my actual curry to arrive, at which point my rice was cold. The portion sizes were so small I was left hungry enough to buy a sandwich from pret a manger to take into the theatre with me and they also forgot to bring the garlic naan my friend ordered. And generally the standard of the food was awful. I am almost certain that if any Indians ate here they would be appauled by the food. I can see that they were trying to put a modern twist on Indian food, but it was an epic fail! All five of us said it was the worst Indian we had ever eaten so I would strongly recommend staying away. To sum up overpriced, small portions with very little taste and very slow service.

Menu is extensive and there's a good selection of vegetarian options. Definitely go for the shepherds pie, naan, duck curry with vermicelli, aubergine with sesame seeds and lamb dishes if you can. It gets super busy on Friday nights so be prepared to chill and enjoy the atmosphere. Really fun and if you like tapas style eating, this is a great way to try some new dishes.

The quality of the food was excellent. Disappointingly we asked the waiter to advise us on how much to order as we didn’t know the menu but it was far too much. This seemed to be a theme as they were offering doggie bags to many tables around us. The tables down the middle so close that it might as well be a bench. I’m glad I went but don’t think I’ll rush back.
