We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.
The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.
Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant. There won't be any minimum spending on Private Lunch booking during January to end of November 2020 (Sunday to Friday only). Just Choose any of our private dining menu (min 20-35 guest and menu £25 to £55).
It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

Delicious food with great vegan selection. Very friendly and helpful staff 👍🏼
Yes, my only criticism is that some of your main dishes are quite expensive ranging from £17-£25 which is too much for not generous portions. For that price it’s one main each and go home still hungry, unless your order a few sides and starters. Which starts getting too expensive. It doesn’t feel value for money, which is the only thing stopping me from giving you a 5.
Great food, attentive staff, lovely setting. Hope to be back soon!
Skilfully packed with tables to accommodate demand. Luckily it is so noisy that only your close (and I mean CLOSE) neighbours can hear your stories. DELICIOUS FOOD!!!
Over priced and small portions. Had to remind staff of orders and was told table needed to be vacated in 1 hour 30mins. Wouldn’t go again. Tea was served luke warm too.
Diner was amazing - some of the best Indian food I’ve had! If you go after 9pm there a special menu that gets you two courses for £21. Would recommend the potato cakes and paneer curry!
Great experience - the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the ambience is great.
Amazing food, good service and lovely interiors. Would highly recommend!
Very lovely meal - the pre-theatre menu was great value for money, I would definitely recommend the twice cooked pork.
Great food. Will definitely eat there again. Set menu could have more explanation how the food is served, but waiter was happy to help and explain.
We went for the vegan set menu, the staff were friendly and the ambience was nice. The food was good and the price was okay.
Extremely small portions. Overall good quality of the food.
Busy Covent Garden restaurant. Service lacking, left a long time between being seated and ordering. Food came quickly and food relatively tasty. Bill was high, not including service, and we only had one drink each. Let down by lack of warm welcome and perfunctory service throughout.
The soft shell crab and the duck were outstanding
Fantastic and really interesting food, beautifully presented both on the plate and by those serving it. We will be back, and soon
Food was really delicious. Reasonably priced. Definitely will eat there again.
The waiter was hilarious and attentive, we only loved one dish which was the prawns but all round relatively tasty food. Only big down side was the portions sizes but I guess that’s expected in a restaurant like this. Overall lovely restaurant!
A great night with wonderful food and fantastic service from Anna Marie. Everything was taken care of perfectly! Thank you very much and I will be back :)
They had a good menu with lots of choice, but our food was cold when it came. The tables are a bit squashed. The service was good tho.
We mostly had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. However, we went for the set menu that is advertised in some places as being a pre-theatre menu- we waited for 15 minutes to be served and then had to wait for half an hour for our mains, whilst the couple next to us who ordered when we first sat down left 30 minutes before we did (and had all their three courses within 10 minutes of finishing the other course). This meant we had to rush to the theatre, whilst some staff were apologetic they had no explanation and said it does not usually take this long. Was a sad way to end what had started off as a delightful culinary experience.
Really good and flavoursome food. Excellent service and great value. Will definitely visit again
Nice restaurant, very nice food.
Special dishes, and good service
The place was a bit too noisy, couldn’t really speak which is a shame in a restaurant.
It was a bit difficult to understand the menu so we ordered a bit randomly but the food was really nice and tasty.
Careful also because the food is overall quite spicy so be aware.
Decoration really nice and colorful!
Food came really quick!
Iv been here many times and the food has been great unfortunately this weekend food was cold and bland service was awful and the atmosphere upstairs was terrible.
went for a family birthday meal on a Saturday night. The restaurant was buzzing and busy. We had a table upstairs which was perfect (quieter) The service was outstanding and the two ladies looked after us so well. Food arrived within perfect timing not to quick and thank God not too long. Chaats were delicious! Perfect blend of sweet savoury and spicy. The shepherds pie was good, spicy though. Would recommend the cod which was perfectly cooked and spiced. For dessserts the creme brûlée and kulfi were delicious.
Whilst we enjoyed the food, and thought the menu well planned and great options, despite booking a table, we were placed in the corner by a bar entrance where there was not enough room for two people to sit without them being hit by the bar and waiting staff every time they went in to the bar area which was disappointing as non-bookings for the same size ahead of us were placed in a much more favourable location. The service left something to be desired which really detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. It took 30 minutes from when we arrived to an order for drinks to be taken (likely due to our out of the way location) and food was taken at the same time. When it came to pay our bill was wrong and took some time to resolve as well.
All in all I would expect better service from a central London restaurant for pre-booked table.
Delicious quality modern Indian food. All the chaats we tried are worth recommending. But not a place for traditional tastes, paneer butter masala was average at best. Mango lassi is unfortunately pre-made, no no sugar option. Bit loud and hectic but not worse than most of other places in central London.
Lovely food, very buzzy atmosphere, prompt service, although overall a bit rushed and we were asked to vacate the table as they had a queue at the door, but to be fair we'd virtually finished (in there approx 1 hour) . Although we weren't offered a coffee at the end of our meal. Overall, I'd go again as the food was great.
Service was very slow, we got our starter’s quickly but then had to wait nearly 40 mins for the main dish. The portions were small and unfortunately not much flavour .
Not a restaurant to return too,
Overall not good value .
Poor value for money and terrible atmosphere upstairs!
Overall nice food and experience, but bar seating arrangement is quite uncomfortable
Great food and lovely staff. I think they could do with one more member in their waiting team though. Two people had to work very hard indeed....
Very tasty food and generous portions! This was a great find - very convenient location, yet authentic food and full of flavour. We had a long wait for our food, though this wasn't an issue as it was nice to have a break between courses, especially given the size of the portions!
Very good Indian restaurant with nice setting and pleasant atmosphere. I was hoping to see more possibilities for vegetarians though. Lentil based dishes for example.
Excellent food, couldn’t fault it. Really enjoyed the sheppards pie- very nice. Would say that the service could have been better to match the food
The food was fantastic, tasty and delicious. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a vegetarian brunch menu.
Nice for a quick bite. Food was tasty, though portions a bit small. Service ok.
Delicious food. Staff just a bit too quick to clear table - whilst still eating! Would recommend.
A pleasant experience - we were greeted very warmly and promptly shown to our table even though we arrived a bit early. We were able to take our time and weren't rushed at any point, despite the restaurant clearly being at the peak of the lunch rush.
We opted for the afternoon tea menu, the food was nice - nothing to write home about though unfortunately. The pani for the pani puri was watered down with an overwhelming coriander taste, the Bombay sandwich was just cucumber and beetroot (so not only a tiny portion but also nowhere near a "proper" Bombay sandwich) and the masala tea was quite bland.
The chaat was lovely though, as was the 2 mouthfuls of the Paneer wrap.
Dessert was generous and tasty, however - that was the only element of the meal where we didn't feel like the offering wasn't generous.
I would go back to the restaurant, however not for afternoon tea, but perhaps to try some of the a la carte items
The waiters and waitresses seemed very distracted. Upon entering we had to speak to three different people for our reservation. Need better communication between staff
