Cinnamon Bazaar is the latest restaurant & cocktail bar from Vivek Singh's range of Cinnamon restaurants, situated in London’s Covent Garden.

We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.

The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.

Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, and can accommodate 12 – 30 guests in this picturesque dining room, featuring its very own private bar. It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

A crowded address and that’s understandable. The atmosphere is charming. The service was outstanding and the food delicious although the portions were a bit small. Would recommend for a drink as well but you rather choose a cocktail than some wine!

Absolutely love this place, stumbled across it last year and have been back a few times. Fantastic authentic food (not the usual anglicised curries), beautiful colourful decor and great staff. Came back this time with my parents as was having lunch before they went to the theatre (they love curry). They were also full of praise and were so happy I had shown them this little gem.

Will 100% be back in the future :)

Its a colourful, busy and loud space that makes for a good ambiance. Food is tasty and portions not that small, but fails to pack a punch.
Service was clunky but apologetic and warm.

Great tasting menu - particularly enjoyed the mixed appetisers to share and the pudding. We had a nice table for a group of four. The service was friendly and efficient. Also had cocktails at the bar before our meal - some nice twists on classic drinks.

Delicious food and great service (love a bit of personality). Stand out dishes include the papdi chaat, watermelon chaat, chicken biryani, lamb galauti, the nutmeg crème brûlée, and the mince pie naan with cinnamon ice cream!

Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived at 5pm and the restaurant was incredibly warm, stuffy and quite uncomfortable. There was nowhere to hang our coats and the staff weren't terribly helpful and asked us to move them when we hung them on the back of the seating...... also it was so dark we couldn't read the menus and had to ask for an additional tea light, however, we still had to use our phone torches. When we booked there was a special offer that included a glass of fizz, we had to remind the waiting staff of the offer and request the appropriate menu. On the plus side the food was good value ........it was just a pity about the ambience and the other issues and for that reason, I wouldn't return or recommend.

We loved everything about our meal. The service was impeccable and my relatives were treated with so much respect and affection. The food is so delicious.. Vivek Singh has not compromised on the taste at all. My mum and aunt ( we are Indian) were so complimentary about the food!! They said everything was cooked and seasoned very well. Its not easy to get this sort of feedback from Indian mums!!! We had fun and the food was delish.. Would definitely go back..

Was not served drinks before 50 min after we were seated. Was not given food menus. Tried to get an explanation how the menu works an one main dish per person was recommended. Smallest dish I’ve ever seen. Food was ok but the service ruined the experience. Will not return.

Nice restaurant, I am almost a regular. Lunch is original (you “build” your own chaat), with big portions and good value.
Cuisine is street food Indian with a modern twist, ingredients are fresh and good quality, dishes presentation is trendy ... rateability seems to be good, at the exception of a lamb biryani overcooked once ...
Nonetheless, service must be improved, we noticed that the waiters do not know anything about the dishes they are serving, at every single question they answer “let me check with the chef”, that is not acceptable in such a restaurant!
I will come back though

The food was delicious and the tasting menu excellent value for money, you are definitely well fed! The food is flavoursome without the spice overpowering. The decor is fun and colourful, only issue is it gets very busy and has minimal space, so don’t go shopping beforehand. My only criticism was that the staff although friendly took a long time to take our initial order and then forgot things and had to be reminded on more than one occasion, but overall it was a lovely evening.

Our first visit, we did ask the wait staff how much we should order as not used to tapas style for Indian food. The explanation could have been better when querying what certain dishes were but it was pretty noisy so couldn't really hear, it would have been good to have had the concept explained when we were given the menus and some pointers but they were very busy.

It was packed so you have to book - we went on a Thursday evening at 6.30pm and a full house. There was very little room for coats/bags (one of our party was arriving from a business trip so had a small case and with winter coats it was challenging to cram into a booth.

All that was soon forgotten when we recieved our food.
We ordered Wings and Honey / Chilli potatoes to start - they were wonderful. The Chicken wings had a bit of a kick and enjoyable. The potato portion is very small so we are glad we ordered a couple of dishes. We could have ordered more as the portions were small but we were not too sure of sizes.

We skipped the Chaats but would have loved to try them

The mains were delish. We all ordered one with a couple sides and it was plenty. The biggest dish was the Biriyani - that was a large portion if you are having that alone - we gladly shared it. The Pork Belly was definately worth a try - I loved that. Order a side to go with it - i had Peshwari naan which was good - but rice i would have liked but shared the biriyani. The Chicken Tikka was nice - you need a side with sauce maybe - we had ordered the Black Dal and that was very good indeed.

Deserts were very nice - the biggest hit was the Carrot/Ginger toffee pudding. We also had the Chocolate Rossogulla which was good but paled in comparison to the toffee pudding.

Bar seating for small table next to bar was not comfortable but waiter kindly swapped these around giving us two that had a backrest. Also had to keep shuffling things around to make space for food arriving. Service was really great but the portions for a starter and main on the pre-theatre menu could have been bigger. Bellinis were great and the ambience very nice overall.

Initially service was good, but as soon as the shift changed, there was no service at all. We were left with empty dishes for over 15 minutes and then a further 15 minutes before our dessert arrived. When we mentioned out table hadn’t been cleared, there was no apology just a look of derision.
The manager did take our complaint at the end and offered an apology.
The starters and main were very tasty, kids menu was bland according to our daughters. Dessert was a let down.
Overall very disappointing.

The first thing to hit you on entering Cinnamon Bazaar is the fabulous spiced aroma.
It's not a huge place, and was busy, but the staff were attentive and friendly.
We had a mixture of starters to share, including a mixed platter, including tasty new takes on old classics.
The main meals were possibly on the small side, but very good. The whole party enjoyed it and raved about the flavours.
Will definitely return.

Food was okay, not bad. Prices were fine too for the portion offered but menu is quite limited. Booked for my boyfriends birthday, had informed them at booking that its his birthday for them to make a note so when i order dessert they can offer a birthday candle and happy birthday message. I was told this has been noted on the booking. We ordered desert and the instructions wernt followed. I was disappointed to say the least. The place was very busy so the noise levels are high, so if you want to chat whilst eating its not ideal.

We booked a table for 17.30 the restaurant was busy and our table was ready a few minutes early. Good as there is little space at the bar. We had the pre-theatre menu which was £21 for 2 courses - the options were very limited and the portions quite small. We waited some time for the mains and when served these went back as they were cold. We were told that the dishes were cooked medium, actually medium to hot I would say. The second lot of mains were served around 10/15 minutes later and were hot.
