Lovely, friendly, and perfect service!
I requested for a vegan dessert to be brought out at the end for my partners birthday and they provided a cute dessert out with a birthday message!
Very nice tasty food but the portions were very small for the price charged - especially the prawn curry
Food was well presented tasted great and good value
Had the Sunday brunch menu which was extremely limited and really nothing special. My wife is vegetarian and there was no decent options for her on the brunch menu.
Even though there are few customers at 1.30pm Sunday we were places near the front door which was cold and breezy. Service was poor and not polite
Won't come again
They were great with my allergies and did the tasting menu which was excellent.
Service was not that good and the drinks were overpriced.
Overall a fantastic meal out great value for money in a modern setting. However once their guitarist started we were unable to have a conversation. We hadn't booked for the live entertainment, I don't remember it being advertised and it was a nice addition just hampered what was meant to be a catch up over dinner.
Fantastic food and brilliant service. Very innovative Indian cooking. Great culinary experience
Food outstanding, service exceptional as always.
Being Indian, the food wasn’t as flavourful. The dishes were unusual which was interesting. Food was cold. If you want a good Indian food fix up this isn’t the place. Didn’t enjoy one dish especially for the price listed.
Good food let down by very poor service.
The waiting staff appeared poorly trained and organised without any leadership. Impossible to get their attention. No drinks order for over 30 minutes and 45 minutes between starter and clearing dishes before main courses which only arrived after I asked the manager to intervene. Eventually manager went in to kitchen to get things moving. He apologised and desserts were on the house.
The food itself was good with great flavours. As a group of 6 we managed to try a number of varieties.
We went here for birthday celebrations and were pleasantly surprised!
The restaurant has a very nice, modern atmosphere. We were a larger group of people so were seated upstairs away from everyone and it felt very intimate as we had the whole place to ourselves.
The service was very nice, food came out quickly and was delicious!
Would definitely recommend this place!
Food was excellent and the service was friendly but below par. Perhaps a more efficient booking system as there were lots of people waiting who had reserved tables though there was no availability.
As a fan of The Cinammon Club I was disappointed by the quality of the food in the early weeks of the Cinnamon Kitchen. However it has improved enormously and is a real treat. I always enjoyed the ambiance and service but now the food is stunning also.
The set menu is good value. The portions are very generous which is nice and we had enough food for the next day!
Been a few times and lovely each time. Great service. Would recommend lunch or dinner over brunch food.
From starter to dessert every dish and drink was absolutely beautiful.
We had lunch on a sunday, busy but not full, the service was really slow and inefficient, took us 30 mins to get 3 scoops of ice cream... food was ok but some dishes very spicy with no prior indication on the menu, so half of the table didn't finish their meal
I didn’t feel like this place was authentic at all, it was set up to get as many people in and out as possible. Food was okay, but again lacking authenticity. I would recommend a typical curry house over this.
A recommendation with little enthusiasm. The food was Ok, the restaurant large with plenty of room but the service which was super at the start drifted the longer the meal went on.
Food was slow coming out and waiting staff seemed to be struggling to keep up.
We had to re order drinks ( twice ) but worse was the fact that no one actually asked if we wanted a drink after we sat down. Had I completed the review after the first course I would give it 5 stars, 4 after the second and 3 by the nights end.
The service was very slow and not attentive at all. We had to ask several times for the bill, we requested the desert menu which they brought to us but didn’t pick up the dishes etc. Overall poor service. In terms of food it is okay - but definitely not worth the money.
We've been regulars at Cinnamon kitchen - it's our go to when we have friends in London. However, on Saturday the service was shocking.
We booked a table at 7.30 to be left standing waiting for twenty minutes. My friend is heavily pregnant. Eventually we were told we could wait at a table whilst ours was prepared.
Half an hour later we were seated, where we immediately ordered our food.
We ordered tap water, but had to go and find it ourselves as it still hadn't been brought during our first course.
We were there nearly three and a half hours. It completely ruined our plans for after.
A great setting, very buzzy but not too loud. We had the taster menu which was excellent value and offered dishes that were “different”. The service at the beginning was a bit rushed but the waitress slowed it down at our request.
Friendly welcome. The restaurant was quiet as we arrived early, but soon filled up and the atmosphere was great without being too loud. We had the taster menu and the food was simply fantastic.
Great food we had the nine course dining meal which is always good value and gives you a wide variety of food
I recently went to Cinnamon Kitchen for my birthday. I'd been wanting to go for a while. It's a great venue/space and excellent atmosphere. The food was so good i'd highly recommend. My only criticism was that it took a while to get drinks and we had to ask our waitress quite a few times. The food service was excellent and cam every quickly. I had a great time for my birthday. Apparently my husband mentioned it was my birthday but the waitress forgot when bringing the desert (i was OK with that!). I would go again i really enjoyed it.
Food was very nice. Service was terrible. We had to wait ages for food and had to ask for menu 4 times. The waiters / waitresses didn’t seem to have a clue. Shame as the food was good.
We booked a table some time ago. Arrived early to have a drink at the bar, letting them know we had arrived. At our booked time we asked to go to our take only to be told there weren't any tables available. We were eventually seated. The taking of our order was fine and the food was delicious (although the main arrived as the starter was cleared). The plates for the main were cleared but nothing else. We were then left for 40 minutes with no member of staff paying us any attention with an empty bottle of wine and no desert menu. Eventually we stopped a member of staff and asked for the bill. This arrived and again, we were ignored and had to ask to pay. The shocking thing was that the restaurant wasn't even that busy. A real shame. Food was really good but service and staff were shocking.
Delicious started and main but desert was very poor indeed and I wish I hadn’t bothered. Service towards the end of the meal poor after good experience before that. Took over 20 minutes after receiving bill to have payment taken and nobody seemed to care. Expect more for the price.
Lovely dinner, food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff very nice. Will be back
Delicious hidden gem
Had the 9 dishes menu - great food. Will be back.
Great dinner with our young kids. Ordered a broad range of dishes and a couple of meals from the children’s menu and everything was excellent.
This is out third visit to this restaurant and did not disappoint! All the food was lovely but the highlight was the spice crust lamb fillet which was cooked to perfection and had fantastic flavours. We also had bass, ribs, tikka naan, trio of daals and the clove smoked lamb rump. The ribs were a little salty for our taste but again lovely flavour and really meaty.
Not only does this restaurant do amazing food it is a really nice place to go where the feel is casual but the staff are really professional and friendly
Service amazing. The Italian manager was absolutely welcoming and his customer service was 5 stars. The Italian waitress customer service and attention to detail was really good, extra smiling and welcoming.
We had a 9 courses meal and since we were too full we asked to have the mains take away. The Italian manager was very attentive and he made it happen for us!! Extra mile service since it was the 1st January and they weren't giving take away food during the festive season. However they accommodated our request and plus with a great smile. The food was absolutely great, tasty and authentically Indian but plain. We loved the location and we will come back soon for sure and we will tell to our friends. A great way to start the year! 5 stars!!
Food was delicious but completely tainted by disorganised, disappointing service and a lack of awareness for unhappy diners, of which there seemed to be many.
Service was extremely slow, we arrived at 9pm and still had not finished our main course by midnight. Wanted to watch the NYE fireworks and were asked to hand over an entire wallet in order for the restaurant to ensure we did not leave without paying which we were uncomfortable with. Gave up on dessert but were still charged the full set menu price. Ordered drinks which never materialised yet these were still on our bill at the end of the night and we had to ask for them to be removed. Had a drink at the bar and were audience to a member of bar staff walking out and an argument between the manager/maitre d' which was highly unprofessional and uncomfortable. Absolutely atrocious; the management is clearly inadequate and the staff are not happy, resulting in bad and unfriendly service.
We were never once apologised to or offered any sort of goodwill gesture to make up for our NYE being ruined. We paid £75pp plus drinks and the service was absolutely abominable, we would have been better off going to a chain restaurant.
The restaurant was overbooked, understaffed and the entire experience was dreadful. It is such a shame as the restaurant itself is lovely and could be the perfect place to celebrate if it were not for the dire service. Were it not to have been NYE we would have walked out and gone elsewhere.
We made a reservation and the lady that was working there was a little bit rude she told us we just finished a party of 200 people and we cant accept you after making a reservation and that we need to leave. Then the guy that works there said he will accept us and try to make it work. If it wasn’t for the lady it would have been a better experience. Thank you
Marvellous, exquisite and filling ...
second time I've been here this time for Christmas Lunch set menu £50. Given the place was full the food was great served warm on hot plates in good time can't really fault quality so its a yes from me....
Our Christmas Eve dinner was just wonderful, Massimo was very accommodating allowing me to try various wine until the right one was chosen. Franchesica was attentive and fun while we made our menu choices. My mussel Malabar was delicious as were all of our choices. The pork dish ( not the ribs, they are amazing) was bland , however we were had such a lovely evening we saw past that.
I look forward to our next visit, we have a bit of a track getting here so the experience has to be great every time.
Nice food but poor service especially considering there were so few customers. No baby change available
