Great food ! Had both meat and veg dishes were both amazing the house black daal was one of my favourites!
The starters were ok.. not as good as traditional Indian takeaway I thought.
Dinners was good.
Wine was nice
The vibe was ok, but maybe just not my thing.
Service was very good
Overall good but not for me
It was a lovely evening. Staff were friendly and attentive
Business success and a celebration
I am so glad Cinnamon Kitchen is now open again, having been thereabout ten times over the past few years. I visited with two friends last Thursday. I always like to eat outside as it can get noisy inside the restaurant. The service was excellent and I felt the staff were really happy to be welcoming customers back. As ever the food was very good and I look forward to my next visit.
The Taster menu is exceptional. The staff went to great lengths to ensure continued cleanliness. I could not fault this restaurant.
Must be my 10th visit now and the food never fails!!! Starters top quality! I don't even know how food can taste so good. It was the best part for me, I could have done with a whole meal of starters :-)
Service a little slow for drinks and a forgetful waiter did not help, but that's not normal... over the years they have always been on point and attentive. We had a bigger group (13) celebrating my sister's 50th so maybe that's why. Some of my friends thought the main course too spicy so be warned, not for the feint hearted. I begrudgingly paid the full service charge but the staff were super friendly and all in all it was a superb night. Love this place and will be back for sure. x
Tasty food and great service at table. However, the restaurant loses points for inattentive, bordering on rude, reception desk staff.
Food was great. Tasty and really good value. We had to sit inside because they wanted to use outside for a holi festival space, so inside was a bit dark for a lunch. However, ambience was still nice and it was relatively quiet eating early.
The food came quickly and the table staff were polite and professional. The only staff member that wasn’t good was the host at the door who was moody.
I’d definitely go again for the set menu lunch. Recommend
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent wine.
It was quiet as it was mid afternoon on a Sunday!
The service overall was good. Friendly staff they catered for our dietary requirements. The staff let us eat at our own pace.
Food was amazing loved the starters to the holi menu. Mains was a little too spicy so could recommend a yougurt with it next time.
Will definitely go back.
Food was fresh.
Great indian food in Liverpool st . Going again next week
Excellent food and great service.
The food is incredible especially the lamb. Good wine list . Service was good and the setting is nice.
Great food and a fantastic location and atmosphere. It was let down by quite poor service though, very slow and we were constantly having to ask for food and drink to be brought or enquire where it was. It was very rushed almost thrown at us but it was very busy. Staff pleasant and friendly though in the limited time they had with us!!
Great meal as always .... we will return soon
Excellent food and service
Had Indian spiced aubergines for starter & really like them. Tandori chicken main met my expectations too. Would return.
Great ambience, great foods, lovely service and pocket friendly.
Happy with our meal. Very good food and efficient service. Not cheap but worth it. Quite noisy.
High quality Indian food in a great location. Staff very good. Arrived at 6.30pm and when I left was really good atmosphere.
I just love the food at Cinnamon Kitchen, every mouthful is a flavour explosion.
Excellent dîner à 2 avec le "Weekend Feast Menu" : découverte de nouvelles saveurs (indiens) - excellent rapport qualité/prix - efficace et très sympathique assistance par le manager Przemek !
Great food and great service.
Love this place. Food, service always excellent. We had the 3 course set menu with cocktail. Absolutely delicious. Good value for menu.
Nice food but the service let it down!
It was our first time at Cinnamon Kitchen for Valentine's Day dinner. We were one of the last bookings of the day as we couldn't get any earlier tables so perhaps our experience suffered due to this. The restaurant seemed under staffed and the staff that they did have seemed tired and thus didn't provide an attentive and friendly service as we would expect from such a restaurant. We had to wait a while for drinks and food - the appetisers were cold and messy like they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while.
Not a fan of the atmosphere, too loud with people chatting with no nice background music. Really seemed more like a workplace canteen rather than a nice restaurant. The bathrooms were awful.
The mains and desserts however were quite tasty so well done to the chef. Nicely done Indian food.
Terrible service & understaffed. We waited for 30 minutes before a waiter came over to our table. It then took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After waiting for over an hour to receive any food we decided to leave as there were many tables still waiting for food that had arrived before us. This level of service was unacceptable given the meal was priced at £60pp.
Honeycomb desert literally tasted like perfume but everything else was quite nice, however definitely not worth £60 PP
The worst dining experience I've had in my life. The menu was a 4 course set menu for valentine's day, which was ruined by:
1) inattentive staff - it took 25minutes for someone to take our order.
2) exceptionally long delays for food to arrive.
3) confusion regarding our order - they brought the wrong main course twice.
After sitting in the restaurant for 2.5 hours, we decided to leave without having our dessert just because of the sheer length of time it was taking. Absolutely abysmal.
The waitress blamed a kitchen issue on the delay and removed the cost of one of our drinks but still charged us for the entire set menu which we didn't even get to finish.
I would rather spend a tenner on brick lane than go here again.
Very poor service. Staff were clearly overwhelmed. Food came out late and was undercooked. Service was to a poor standard. The value was very bad indeed, 120£ for a valentine's day meal. I would not recommend this place at all.
Lovely food, staff very attentive and a nice atmosphere.
Great food. Being indian myself, indian food always seems expensive anyway. But was about £86 with two cocktails, One side, one starter, two mains,
a side of rice and one dessert. They gave us I think it was the white chocolate tart complimentary as it was my husband’s birthday. I had asked on opentable to put happy birthday on the dessert plate so the free dessert was really nice of them !
Absolutely delicious food with fantastic flavours.
Fabulous food & wine, amazing welcome & service, our second time here and it won’t be last! Highly recommend.
We ordered the set menu, the portion of rice was about 5 spoons worth with the haddock curry which was rather bland.
A great place and very good staff. My friend and and I had travelled separately and both took 20 mins to find the restaurant. Google Maps etc took us on a roundabout route and we found that a side entrance out of the Square took us down a alley way straight to Liverpool Street Station. Suggest the website gives a description of how to get to it as well as a link to google maps.
I would recommend this place as the food was absolutely delicious. I had the paneer for starter and the mutton curry as a main which were both amazing! I had the nonalcoholic version of the free cocktail which comes with the set menu. However it wasn't particularly nice (tasted a bit like strawberry jelly). Unfortunately, for the price paid, I felt the service was not as good as expected (perhaps a little inexperienced). We had a number of different servers even though the restaurant was relatively quiet and the coffee order was initially missed (although was taken off the bill at the end which was nice). We ordered drinks but at the same time wanted to order food, however, the server said they would have to come back to take the food order... Then didn't return for 15mins. The outdoor area does look amazing to enjoy in warmer months!
Nice but not great. Not sure we would go back as it was not much different from a local Indian
Food was tasty and distinct - definitely not standard high street indian/bengali restaurant fare. All the tapas style nibbles we chose for starters were excellent. One of us chose the venison main dish which though pricey was superb and the other two dishes were good.
Staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy - spot on, really.
The dining room is a bit of a soulless barn. Disappointing lack of ambience at this price point.
