Nice food but the service let it down!
It was our first time at Cinnamon Kitchen for Valentine's Day dinner. We were one of the last bookings of the day as we couldn't get any earlier tables so perhaps our experience suffered due to this. The restaurant seemed under staffed and the staff that they did have seemed tired and thus didn't provide an attentive and friendly service as we would expect from such a restaurant. We had to wait a while for drinks and food - the appetisers were cold and messy like they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while.
Not a fan of the atmosphere, too loud with people chatting with no nice background music. Really seemed more like a workplace canteen rather than a nice restaurant. The bathrooms were awful.
The mains and desserts however were quite tasty so well done to the chef. Nicely done Indian food.

Terrible service & understaffed. We waited for 30 minutes before a waiter came over to our table. It then took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After waiting for over an hour to receive any food we decided to leave as there were many tables still waiting for food that had arrived before us. This level of service was unacceptable given the meal was priced at £60pp.

Honeycomb desert literally tasted like perfume but everything else was quite nice, however definitely not worth £60 PP

The worst dining experience I've had in my life. The menu was a 4 course set menu for valentine's day, which was ruined by:
1) inattentive staff - it took 25minutes for someone to take our order.
2) exceptionally long delays for food to arrive.
3) confusion regarding our order - they brought the wrong main course twice.

After sitting in the restaurant for 2.5 hours, we decided to leave without having our dessert just because of the sheer length of time it was taking. Absolutely abysmal.
The waitress blamed a kitchen issue on the delay and removed the cost of one of our drinks but still charged us for the entire set menu which we didn't even get to finish.
I would rather spend a tenner on brick lane than go here again.

Very poor service. Staff were clearly overwhelmed. Food came out late and was undercooked. Service was to a poor standard. The value was very bad indeed, 120£ for a valentine's day meal. I would not recommend this place at all.

Great food. Being indian myself, indian food always seems expensive anyway. But was about £86 with two cocktails, One side, one starter, two mains,
a side of rice and one dessert. They gave us I think it was the white chocolate tart complimentary as it was my husband’s birthday. I had asked on opentable to put happy birthday on the dessert plate so the free dessert was really nice of them !

A great place and very good staff. My friend and and I had travelled separately and both took 20 mins to find the restaurant. Google Maps etc took us on a roundabout route and we found that a side entrance out of the Square took us down a alley way straight to Liverpool Street Station. Suggest the website gives a description of how to get to it as well as a link to google maps.

I would recommend this place as the food was absolutely delicious. I had the paneer for starter and the mutton curry as a main which were both amazing! I had the nonalcoholic version of the free cocktail which comes with the set menu. However it wasn't particularly nice (tasted a bit like strawberry jelly). Unfortunately, for the price paid, I felt the service was not as good as expected (perhaps a little inexperienced). We had a number of different servers even though the restaurant was relatively quiet and the coffee order was initially missed (although was taken off the bill at the end which was nice). We ordered drinks but at the same time wanted to order food, however, the server said they would have to come back to take the food order... Then didn't return for 15mins. The outdoor area does look amazing to enjoy in warmer months!

Food was tasty and distinct - definitely not standard high street indian/bengali restaurant fare. All the tapas style nibbles we chose for starters were excellent. One of us chose the venison main dish which though pricey was superb and the other two dishes were good.
Staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy - spot on, really.
The dining room is a bit of a soulless barn. Disappointing lack of ambience at this price point.

Food (as always) outstanding and original - with the maitre d going out of his way to ensure my partner’s dishes were diary free. Superb black lentil curry...always worth taking home a portion! Overpriced wine list, to be honest - priced for “city slickers” not casual diners.

Main downside is the intolerable noise level - I realise it was a Friday night, but you couldn’t hear what the staff were telling you, let alone have a conversation. Surely some acoustic dampening is possible without losing the buzzy atmosphere

Our waiter and service provided was excellent
The only downside was that the air conditioning was on and we felt cold most of the time our waiter was great and sorted it out each time we asked. The food was nice but the air conditioning did not help with the temperature.
We have been to cinnamon kitchen many times but have always asked for a seat at the side, this time they were unable to accommodate. We noticed how close the tables were to each other and the noise levels were high due to large groups.

A gorgeous meal as always here, served by the lovely Przemek. My dad and I have been coming to Cinnamon Kitchen for a while now, and always have a wonderful evening. From the fantastic food to faultless service everything is always brilliant. Przemek has always been our waiter, and always gives us great recommendations when we have difficulty ordering! Cannot wait to come back, thank you again Przemek for such brilliant dinners.

Very disappointing return to the restaurant after an excellent experience for my wife’s birthday last year. The service was very slow and the attitude of all the waiting staff was totally lacking in friendliness and welcoming. The taste of the meals was fine without being exceptional. Exceptionally pricey drinks and food, and overall a very disappointing occasion.

Glass of wine from Merlot Santa Rita Gran cost 10 Euros (175 ml) and the bottle cost 42 Euros. Which means the bottle was more expensive . So it seems to me its better to buy by the glass which is counter any other restaurant. So that I thought was wrong. But the service atmosphere location were very very nice and based on that i would recommend albeit with warning to check the prices of the wine per glass and bottle.

I’ve eaten in CK many times over the last decade. It’s never been any less than fantastic.

Certainly one of the top 10 Indian restaurants in the world.

It’s a bit pricey but consistently great.

We went for our anniversary meal and saw the set menu which appears to be decent value. Restaurant is decent looking and we were seated quickly but it felt a bit dull with no conversation from the staff at all. The starter was ok. The waiter asked how it was and my husband said that paneer was a bit cold but the waiter gave no response at all, a response or apology would have been nice. The main meal was tasty but we didn’t receive the chickpeas and raita that was mentioned in the menu and I could have done with it as the curry was spicy. We didn’t get asked if we wanted anymore drinks. Desert was fine. To add they lit no candles, we only found out looking at other tables. It took so long to get the bill. We finally paid and left. It was overall a very disappointing experience and no value for money. The restaurant is selling Vivek Singh’s name but not a quality experience at all.

Went with a group of 8 adults for a 9pm sitting. Really strange ambience. No music. Crying children. Clanking plates and kitchen noise (not in a good way).

Wait staff were very pushy - trying to upsell and push additional plates onto us (even though we were already having starters and main courses). When we tried to pay a tip they were unclear whether service was included and suggested we make an additional tip in cash “so the staff would get it”.

All rather unpleasant. Won’t be back.

Overall great outing - outstanding food and our server was exceptional. Our experience did not get off to the best start, however, as we were greeted by a hostess who was utterly rude and unprofessional. Indeed, it took some convincing by our server to prevent us from leaving. This is a great restaurant- one that I have visited on many occasions for work and now with my family. I will certainly go back if the chance presents itself again, with the hope and expectation that the hostess will have received additional training by then.

We went for our team Xmas lunch and the service was terrible. We had two courses and it took 2 hours. Our waiter came over and told us with a flourish at the beginning that he would be looking after us and then proceeded to ignore us the whole time. The only reason we were able to order or get anything done was literally grabbing other waiters as they came past! We did say at the end we wouldn't pay service and that it was terrible and he was sarcastic and ignored our comments simply saying 'Happy Christmas'. Quite possibly the worst service I have every had and they weren't even that busy. We wont be going back.

I had being going to Cinnamon Kitchen for number of years, always good Indian food and wine selection,

However, I noticed this time that there is a change in air at this restaurant not sure for the better,
The Menu has changed to "Street Menu", my preference is to have the high quality menu and fine Indian dining you had before.....

My sincere thanks to waiting personal (Head waiter) for guiding me on the street menu selection!

Either-way, food is of excellent quality!
