Stylish interior and buzzy atmosphere. Smallish menu but interesting takes on traditional dishes eg chicken biryiani.
Menu and ambience has changed significantly since we last visited.
food not good - naan, biryani very bad, lal maas not good and dry
Food was delicious! However, we were very disappointed as our table was booked for 8.30 and got seated at 9. It seemed like we weren’t the only ones who this happened to! This would have been fine if the manager had apologised. The waiters were great though.
First visit, food was amazing... Portion sizes perfect for lunch. The whole experience was wonderful will definitely return in the very near future
Fantastic food, me and me partner are both vegan so having those options was amazing
The decor, cleanliness, food and over all atmosphere and look of the restaurant was up to an impeccable standard
Fab food, nice place.
Not all Vegan options are properly signposted on the menu - but they do have a separate allergy menu which provides all info you would need for each dish.
We had the Thali and Tipple offer last Wednesday lunchtime. The food was outstanding: varied and delicious. The special deal also included a drink, so we had Cobra beer and a glass of red wine. The overall experience was exceptional. In addition, because of the roof-top situation of the restaurant, the wonderful views over Oxford are amazing - we were offered a window table and so had the full benefit of Oxford’s dreaming spires. Thank you to everyone
Typical Indian mentality staff particular manager with attitude, whole restaurant was empty but given small round table for 5 person,
All in all food and ambience was great , little bit pricy but service letdowns the whole night
Dear KeyurS I would like to address that your review is quiet offensive. The booking was for 5 people & on arrival you asked to make it a 6, i offered you a table that has always accommodated 6. Since it wasn't to your liking and the other large tables you desired were reserved, we did our best to organise another tables which you then sat on! You then placed an order for 5 Thali's and then 15 mins later changed it. The Kitchen had to redo the order to accommodate your requirements. Many thanks
Went here for dinner with a friend after wanting to try since it had opened and I was sadly disappointed. It seemed as they have tried to change their approach to dining due to the success and proximity to Mowgali round the corner and sadly they’ve missed the mark. The dishes my friend had were over seasoned to the point that we had drunk a jug of water and not due to the spice.
Good food but service was awful. Waited for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us.
Very enjoyable experience would throughly recommend if you want a modern Indian
This was our second visit to Cinnamon Kitchen and it was just perfect. We were more than satisfied with the food and the staff are attentive and polite. We had the 3 course set menu which was fantastic value. We believe Cinnamon Kitchen is MUCH better than Mowgli, the competition just around the corner. We are 100% coming back again soon. Thank you!
Overall good and enjoyable, but naans were slightly disappointing.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Highly recommend! One of the nicest Indian places I have ever been to.
Food very good. Service good though a little over attentive, but as it was very quiet not too surprising.
Food was really nice, good portions and lovely flavour. Service could be better, we had to go into the restaurant before we were acknowledged. The set dinner menu wasn’t given even though I had booked for that so I had to ask. We ordered a few dishes which we were then told weren’t available due to a problem with suppliers.
Lovely flavours, especially in the puddings.
Great food, good service and affordable prices too. Thanks.
Very good, authentic Indian food but there were very limited menu options for dinner, no Indian dessert and to be honest it can be a bit expensive! But a good experience overall!
The quality of the food and presentation of each dish was exceptional. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes before being asked for our drinks order (the restaurant wasn’t busy). Further, we had to request our tap water twice and to ask for attention when we wanted to order our food. The booking was made for a birthday celebration and we were left feeling rather disappointed with the experience as a whole.
Great atmosphere, staff were quick with the food a d drinks and they also have a new menu
Excellent food and nice service however only 6 people in the restaurant so lacking in atmosphere
All the food had great flavour
The manager took great pride in the restaurant and was extremely knowledgeable.
I've dined at Cinnamon Kitchen many times now and never had a bad meal or experience, whether dining as a large group or as a romantic dinner for two. The food is always exquisite with layering of flavours and interesting new things to try. A good amount of food without leaving you feeling overloaded. Staff that care and a lovely ambiance. Beautiful twinkling lights and views over Oxford by evening. Even the toilets are always very clean which I think it always a good sign of general attitude to cleanliness throughout. Well done to the team who work there - it's consistently a lovely experience and delicious food. And it's close to The Alchemist for an entertaining cocktail experience to round off a lovely evening!
Very nice ambience. Delicious, freshly cooked authentic Indian food. Good service and very nice staff. Would highly recommend.
we used the £25 off the bill new years eve offer and had an enjoyable meal after a visit to the Curzon Cinema. We will return.
A fantastic meal and excellent service - we were very impressed
Very nice decoration and food selections. We really enjoyed restaurant environment and Indian recipes. Service is good enough but a bit slow.
Fabulous food and good service. Authentic Indian flavours.
Absolutely amazing place! Wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and they went above and beyond to make it a fantastic night! We would highly recommend the Cinnamon Kitchen to anyone!
We had the sharing menu - eight dishes for two people. Very good selection and just the right amount, ie slightly more than we could eat, including a dessert. Service excellent. Great value as always.
It all started bizarrely as all our information had our reservation at 2pm, they had it at 1:30. Plus they asked us thoroughly about reservations although the restaurant was empty. The starters were very good, the fish main course less so. Service was a bit sparse especially as the restaurant was empty.
Excellent food and service - would highly recommend!
My wife and I have been intending to visit Cinnamon kitchen for some time - now we are glad we did!
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We ate at lunch time and were initially surprised how short the menu was - but soon stopped worrying as we were struggling which of the dishes to order ! I had the best garlic naan bread ever! Our main courses were excellent . We shall return.
Excellent food. Vibrant buzzy restaurant.
I would not recommend this restaurant. The decor is nice - modern and new as expected. The atmosphere was fine, wasn't quiet or too noisy. Aside from that, incredibly disappointing. My meal tasted and looked exactly like a jar of sauce from a supermarket. Not unpleasant but obviously not what you want for £15 without sides! My husband's was a little better but still pretty dull. Garlic bread was quite small and thin, nothing exciting, but did taste of garlic! We were seated right next to the open kitchen and noticed the kitchen staff standing around looking bored a lot despite it being Friday night. Also we ordered food and drinks together and the food came literally within a few minutes, quite a long time before the drinks. Altogether... I'm not sure how much fresh cooking happens at this very overpriced restaurant! Service was definitely without a smile, she even seemed irritated when I asked what soft drinks they had. I couldn't see it anywhere on the drinks menu, just alcohol, but maybe I was missing it. Don't bother!
We ate at around 1:30 and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was really nice and we ate from the set menu. Would recommend it and would go back again.
Excellent meal, quickly served. Only criticism was the chlorine taste in the water; water filter badly needed!
Amazing food, and amazing friendly service
Recommend to many people, just a little pricey but still worth it! Nice for a little treat
