Wonderful. Would love to be able to try the whole menu.
Food and ambiance were great!! Will definitely return.
Great food. Great service. Very happy with everything.
Brisket egg rolls, steak, and gnocchi were fantastic! Took a while to give our order but once we did, food came quickly. Great experience!
The food was better on this visit done in the past. The restaurant overall is comfortable. The service was excellent. Overall we had a quite enjoyable meal
Sooo good! Wish there was one in Long Island! I loved the atmosphere, and the rustic feel.
We always love this restaurant! Such fabulous and delicious food! Espeically love their Tuesday night special nights with creative dishes from different countries. The chef is very creative with the fixed price menu, which is very fresh and the varied selections are delightful. We are appreciative of the all the hard work that goes into preparing everything including the ambiance and decorations! The portions are generous, very filling, and a good value.
The ambience was very authentic and the service was fair. The food was a let down. Two dishes were way over cooked and the third was bland.
When we pointed it out we were given a replacement, but it also was lacking. It’s too bad our first two experiences were very positive.
Excellent food and friendly service.
Upfront, I do not keep kosher . I was looking for a nice place to eat. Citron and Rose is beautiful. It’s really a calm beautiful setting with good parking and a big bar. The service was wonderful. We had a very attentive waiter who offered us specials
Dinner really good. The Messo plate was great. We split a delicious hamburger and salad. One person had a yummy fish fish. No dessert was ordered
It was great
Elegantly prepared and served, the kosher food at Citron and Rose was delightful but overpriced. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite, with just a dusting of seasoning and batter. Our lamb chops and catch of the day were tasty, as were our cocktails and desserts, but no dish seemed special enough to quite justify its price. The desserts were modestly sized - really just the right size for healthy eating, and accompanied by small scoops of house made ice cream. My pistachio cake would have made my day if the tiny topping of ice cream had not almost entirely melted by the time it reached the table, but a reasonable scoop of frozen goodness would have flattened the small cake. Our server was extraordinary and made us feel special. That may be enough to get us to return for a special occasion.
As usual, the food was premium, as were the cocktails. When I come to Philadelphia, Citron and Rose is ALWAYS on my list of must visit places.
Pleasant environment and consistently improving staff and food quality, which is brought in a timely fashion
Sat at bar. Good beer. small plates: wings and kebab excellent! chicken meatballs need some personality. Overall, very good!
Great food and service. The ambience was nice sitting inside at the window.
great place for business meeting or dinner with friends
This is a truly outstanding restaurant! The food has subtle and creative flavors, the ambiance is lovely, and everything about the experience was great. Thank you, Robin
Awesome evening! Great food and service and the back room was nice and quiet for our private party.
We are happy to have a kosher restaurant in the area. The menu had a lot of good choices. Service was odd. We would have liked to see all the first courses served at the same time and all the main courses served at the same time. The ice cream that was served st the end was more like a milkshake
because the waiter had let it sit before serving it. Next time I expect better service. This is a pricey restaurant and the service should be past of a total package of excellence.
The regular menu and special menus that I've ordered from are both delicious lately. I especially love the beet salad and duck confit salad. The tacos appetizer on Southern BBQ night was great.
Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely let Chef Carlos know! We sure do love our Theme Nights! Hope to see you again!
This is one of the best kosher restaurants around. I like how the chef takes food that we eat all the time and makes it new and different.
Nice meal. Food was good but not great. Service was fair.
The food was absolutely delicious. They took us at exactly our appointment time
Food was delicious. Really enjoyed our dinner.
The food was very overpriced and the quality was poor. $32.00 for 4 oz of branzino is embarrassing. There is basically nothing healthy to eat on the menu. Salads consist of one piece of lettuce. The chocolate cake I had for desert was stale. I would not recommend this restaurant as much as I wanted to like it as it is the only Kosher option in a pleasant venue in the Philadelphia area.
The ambience was amazing. But the service and food failed. We ordered things that never came: brocclie avocado salad, avocado sushi roll (1 out of 2 came) and side of ratatouille. I ordered dessert for my mother’s 70th birthday (and mother’s day) on the phone and confirmed w waiter upon arrival. We were done the meal and it wasn’t coming. My mom got up to leave and we had to tell her to wait. Then our waiter brought the dessert plates ahead of the cake so the surprise was ruined. The service was such a bummer.
The biggest disappointment were the entree’s. The ribs (2 of us at our table oedered then) were so over salted they were unpleasant to eat. The lamb chops were hard and such a disappointment. The fish & chips- a miss. Not yummy. Those long potatoe rectangles looked cool but texture was mush. Even the side of fries my kids got were over salted. The food was such a disappointment we would not return.
The devil eggs are a must!
Spotty service and food. The cauliflower appetizer was excellent, so were the doughnut/chicken combo, the shashlik and the brisket. The matzoball soup was tasteless. Service was indifferent, shashlik was served without pita that didn’t arrive until too late. To their credit, the manager was apologetic and gracious and comped us with 2 desserts without charge
We didn’t know this was a Kosher restaurant- the food was ok, but it would have been helpful to know that they use almond milk when we had three in our party of 4 with almond sensitivities. The server forgot to bring one of our entrees until we asked, then the brisket and eggs was without brisket :( overall the food was good, but they have some serving issues to work on, not to mention it seemed contradictory that they cater to a dietary restriction, but don’t mention it or alert people before serving them a known allergen for some.
Took a while for the waiters to take our order! We ordered two burgers medium rare, one came rare but very delicious. for the money, I thought it could have been a little better!
Wonderful and vibrant.
The food was for the most part delicious. The short ribs were so soft and succulent and just plain delicious. There were some interesting choices made with the appetizers in regard to the flavors and accoutrements they came with, but overall pretty good.
Amazing ambiance. Just a lovely room. The service was great as well and the restaurant management checked in with us to make sure that we enjoyed our meal which is always a nice touch.
Definitely plan to visit again next time we’re in Philadelphia.
Food was very good. Enjoyed the hummus, roasted peppers, baba ganoush and pita. Spaetzle was also good. Fish tacos were better. Service was off but hope it is better the next time we go.
The service was awful, the food - just ok, the waiters didn't know what was going on and the kitchen had probably just one cook while the restaurant was packed. In all, a very negative experience. Will not go back.
This is an excellent, reasonably priced dining option in Bala Cynwyd. The fact that it is also glat kosher is an extra. Worth going to even if you do not observe kosher dining requirements (I don't).
Once again, C&R did not disappoint. Thank you for being here.
Loved our meals! Staff all very friendly and pleasant. Cannot wait to go back to enjoy other dishes! Duck and steak were delicious.
The restaurant is beautifully appointed and the menu very interesting. We enjoyed our meal; the charcuterie platter was to die for and my husband's chicken entree was amazing. However, I chose a chicken sandwich and was very disappointed. It was supposed to come on house made sourdough bread, but it was just a normal hamburger roll. It came with cranberry relish and avocado, which I thought were sparse; I really should have asked for more. Neither the sandwich nor the fries were hot, so it was overall a big disappointment. Should have chosen a normal entree!
Still, I believe we will go back. Just no sandwiches!
Food was good, price high just a restaurant for special occasions. Enjoyed
