With our scenic River Dee backdrop, we're ideally located for locals and visitors alike. Cosy and welcoming, we promise to serve our delicious, Scottish fare with a side of Northern hospitality.

Head Chef Bartek Bukowski has carefully designed the Clachan Grill's menu to reflect the diverse ingredients Scotland has on offer, drawing inspiration from Scottish classics, while elevating them to the level of a modern Grill.

    I love me a good steak, but usually my issue is that most restaurants tend to overcook them. Not the case here, where the steak was cooked to perfection and not a bit more. The staff were very friendly and professional. The restaurant felt like a cozy family-run place though I am not sure if it actually is that. I would reccomend this place to anyone in the area.

    Not my first time at this venue. I live local and usually attend with visitors. I always recommend this grill and they have never let me down. First class... I should attend more often!

    The two courses we had were very good indeed and the lamb shank was the tender I've ever tasted. The staff were very efficient but one was a bit dour. Maybe he'd had a bad day, but don't let that put you off from coming as its one we'd happily come back to.

    Lovely restaurant with delicious food, great atmosphere and fabulous staff. Hannah was a dream to have looking after us. So friendly and offered us some local knowledge too. The lamb was the highlight for me - and almost cleaned my own plate after my sticky toffee pudding! If we ever pass through Ballater again, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a fab evening.

    The staff were wonderful on recommendations and making sure we were seated in a comfortable table. The soup and mains were done nicely and between the food, staff, and setting: truly deserving of a 5 star experience
