I was very angry. We were seated in a booth. The fabric was disgustingly stained all over. Crumbs were in the seams of the seats. It was horrible!! I had to ask where my meal was after they served my husband's dish. I had to hunt down a waiter to get the bill. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences that we have had. There was no toilet paper in any of the many stalls in the women's bathroom. I say, close the place down!
Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Like the cake; but I don't remember it being that sweet. Still a nice treat.
Very busy restaurant, and for that reason, very noisy. We ate about 5:00p on a Friday night, there were several large parties near our table. Therefore, it was difficult to even hear each other across our table. One of the tables had mixed adults and children, and they were shooting their facemasks at each other, with loud screaming at each hit. Although it is up to the adults to control this issue, we felt perhaps management should have stepped up and tried to control the misbehavior. Our server tried his best to keep up with our service, and our meal was prepared just the way we like it. We would try this restaurant again, but perhaps at another location.
Seated upon arrival despite walk up patrons waiting for a table. Will use this App.
The claim jumper near us closed a few yrs ago but we didn’t like it anyway. However we did enjoy the one by so coast plaza. Very large menu with different choices and we enjoyed the meal and happy hour
Busy Friday night. Glad we had reservations. Food and service were both great.
Great place to meet for dinner before a performance at Segerstrom Center for the Arts
Service was good but food wasn't up to par. Steak was blood rare. I ordered medium well. Tri-tip was full of grizzle. Mac and cheese side was disappointing and calamari overcooked and very small.
Manager made it right, however, and will try again in a few months as we typically like CJ.
We had a great experience for our sons 3yr birthday. All service was wonderful from host to servers.
The food was ok, my beef dip bread was crumbly so it was maybe old? The meat was cooked differently, it just wasn't the same last night. They also charged us $2.00 for a loaded baked potato when a baked potato comes with the ribs? Are you saying it costs $2.00 for sour cream, chives & bacon bits? Also why are they charging me a 3% surcharge on top of my bill with zero explanation. I had to ask the server & she said oh well instead of raising prices were doing this now after the pandemic? We all lost jobs & money this last year so I don't understand why a place would charge more? We're all in this not just the claim jumper. Just my thoughts.
Food was just okay.
Service and location very good.
Nice overall meal
Claim Jumper keeps going down hill. Used to be a favorite, but now I won’t be going back. Food was not good, but prices are high. Nothing special anymore.
The creamed corn side dish was a bit thin, not very creamy. The mac & cheese was not very cheesy.
The hot chicken sandwich is outstanding.
We enjoy going here as it has a nice outdoor, covered patio and plenty of indoor tables.
Nice lunch with the grandkids before the Peter Pan play!
I love this restaurant and go as often as I can
Our server was superb!! The staff was very flexible!!
Service was ok. Waitress had to many tables to attend.
It was very nice. We were celebrating my birthday. The waitress was very sweet and funny. The food was great.
Bad service and quality of the foods wasn’t there anymore, salty and expensive
The lobster BLT was so good!!
The food was excellent and amazing!
Father’s Day dinner
Food and restaurant were great. But, I made the reservations on OpenTable, and when we got to the restaurant they had no record of my reservation
Food was delicious and friendly staff. Best Claim Jumper we've ever been to, hands down.
We had a great time celebrating Father's Day!
Great Father's Day breakfast brunch. Had reservations for 10:30 am and was perfect because the restaurant was not crowded. Delicious. Waffles and fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and pancake combo. Everyone was pleased with their food.
Our server, Jose, was friendly & helpful. * 😀
Decor is ok… dark and odd furnishings. Server was awesome. Apps came out AFTER dinner was served. Food runner dropped dinner and said I will be right back with your Apps. Also odd. Food was fine - chain restaurant quality. Last oddity, a 3% surcharge added to ensure good food quality and service.
Service was prompt, friendly, helpful. We sat on the patio and it was very pleasant.
Check in could have been more personable, but the gentleman that sat us was nice, the server/waiterJose was AMAZING! Attentive and efficient! The clean up staff was on it! Downside was the pasta and sandwich was more on the frugal side with the lobster. Would definitely be back on a day the server/waiter is there!!!
Celebrated a family members Birthday. Service was great!!
Had the Country Fried Steak and Sliced Tri Tip. Both dinners were nothing like the Claim Jumper of old. Once upon a time, the Country Fried Steak was a true cube steak that was battered and fried. This "steak" was very thin with as much breading as meat. The mashed potatoes were very heavy in what I assume was sour cream. Very little potato taste. Again, once upon a time, the mashed potatoes were red potatoes, with some skin and potato chunks. The country gravy was obviously either from a can or mix with water added.
The slice tri-tip was cooked properly but had very little flavor - neither beefy nor smokey. The accompanying baked potato was the highlight of both meals.
I'm sorry to say this is my last trip to a Claim Jumper and I understand why they have close many locations and have filed for bankruptcy. Too bad. Once upon a time, CJ was one of our favorites. Bye Bye pardner.
Loved the service. Donald was great even the Manager came over and thanked us for being there. Food was awesome. Great patio, nice set up, great for people watching. Quiet and private. We will definitely be back to this location even though it is 30 miles from home. Keep up the good work guys! Please keep your food quality this high.
Salmon was outstanding- and we both ordered it double well done (as we do at every restaurant). For the first time ever it was well done (as ordered)- and perfect!!!!!
Wonderful as usual, so glad to eat inside. Food was excellent! One of our favorite places to east for all occassions!
Amazing 10/10 highly recommend.
Food was great service friendly and caring definetly would come back here.
The service from our waitress and the food was excellent. The thin fellow with light hair and headphone doing check in should be finding a new job.
When I checked in he didn’t ask my name and blew me off. We were about 10 minutes early so I waited until our reservation time and rechecked in with the young lady with the tablet & discovered that the guy in fact did NOT check us in and the young lady seated us. The guy should be washing dishes. Other than that everything was great and we’ll be back. We go there often.
We had an amazing time. The food was great the atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly.
Service and food were good— but the baked potato was hard and under done
