Claim Jumper - San Bernardino
Soooo good. Delish food and great service! For sure going back!
DON’T GO!!!
The food was very overpriced to start with and there was BROKEN GLASS in it that badly cut my wife’s mouth! When the manager talked with us we could tell that he was trying to do the bare minimum that he could to avoid trouble; he even still charged us for part of the bill!
They are also no longer a Landry’s restaurant (even though they’re still listed on Landry’s website/app), and so wouldn’t take our reward card.
Muy buena comida. El covid complica todo pero nos recibieron con amabilidad y muy buena comida
Great experience
Was not able to go cause restaurant said they did not have a table for me
Unfortunately, the outdoor experience is pretty bad, like everywhere else. Windy, cold, etc... I hold our government responsible for that, though... not the restaurant.
Thanksgiving dinner there was great; the service was great. No complaints, other than they might want to invest in outdoor heaters.
Thanksgiving
They add a 3% surcharge and have a very limited menus with no value options. It was nice and peaceful though with good social distancing.
Great food, waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Quiet enough to talk. Loved it.
Service was a little slow for not being that busy. Apparently change of ownership??? Changing out bar menu items , so were out of stock on some inventory.
We had a party of 8 with 2 birthdays. It took us 2+3/4 hours from seating to leaving. 2 of us got our food so late that we barely began eating when everyone else was done.there was no excuse for that. We were heading to an event after and we had to cancel because dinner was so late. On a good note: The cheese bread was super yummy!
Service was great, but food was horrible.
Food was cold, service was bad, arrival of food late
Honestly I'll probably never go back to claim jumper. The food wasnt that good. Thank god for the sauce. The mac and cheese didnt have any cheese and the tri tip was kinda dry and the chicken was unflavored.
The food was cold They cook the steak well done would medium rare They came back to us that will give you another steak Your what it took long for the other steak just wanted to leave
Wish we still had one closer to Lake Elsinore so that we could go more often.
Great food, great service. Will definitely return.
Food was very good. The clam chowder wasn’t the same old clam chowder Claim Jumper used to have. It was brown looking no plans just potatoes. Very pricey at Claim Jumper.
Food was very good but not hot Luke warm
Our server Juan was awesome . Thank you
very nice, service was great anytime we needed anything we we're help fast all employees had a smile
Our second server Sandra was extremely inattentive. Had to call on manager on duty . He made things right for our party of five . Jason and Zachary were extremely attentive. I must add the last few times at this location we not good experiences . Probably won’t return to this location.
Very diverse menu and good value for your money. Outstanding service
Service made our visit great and the food was good too
Service was horrible!! Would never recommend Claim Jumper to anyone. Made our reservation for a Christmas lunch. Server was taking long periods between asking our drinks and our orders. Food took a long time to come out almost an hour. One of our orders was incorrect and brought back twice the same way. I spoke to the manager who said we were the servers only table.
Our server was very attentive and helpful. Loved the private room for our party. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
I was happily surprised with the Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Generous portion of sliced turkey with mashed potatoes & gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, and veggies. I'm not a fan of the cheese bread they serve with dinner these days...so I passed on that. But I did upgrade my dessert choice to the pumpkin cheesecake and it was so delicious, I brought half of it home and had it for breakfast the next day! Our server was busy, but very efficient and had a great attitude.
Last year 2018 Thanksgiving here was 5 stars for everything. This year we were seated in very noisy area and got a cold blast of air when anyone came in, but were moved to a bar area booth where it was quieter, warmer, and much more comfortable. We ordered wine and water and were told our server would be over shortly. We got the wine, and someone came by and took our order. We never did get a server like we had last year, so we just flagged down anyone who walked by - usually one of the very hard working ladies handling bar orders. Asked one for water again and got it this time. My friend ordered the wedge salad, which was delicious, but when she flagged a passing waitress and asked for a little more dressing it never came. We leisurely finished the salads and were glad we had a chance to finish them without having the main course served so early it got cool. But then we had to flag down another waitress to tell her we were ready for dinner. We had both ordered the Thanksgiving ham & turkey dinners which were very tasty - most tender turkey ever - but ... we think they had been sitting for a while because they were lukewarm on arrival. In short, we thought the food was excellent, the seating turned out fine, but there were so many more people in 2019 than in 2018 we think there was a staffing shortage this year. All the servers were working very hard, but when it came to getting service we just seemed like an afterthought.
We walked in and got a table right away because we had a reservation. My son does not like the whole turkey dinner, so he had prime rib and I got my turkey with plenty of leftovers. Staff was friendly and efficient and the restaurant ran like clockwork .This was our second Thanksgiving at Claim Jumper and we will be back again next year.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times and the food is always good. On Thanksgiving I had the salmon with crab and it was moist and delicious. The Caesar salad was crisp and cold with a flavorful Caesar dressing. I had a great raspberry martini - my first - that was wonderfully complimentary to the meal. The apple pie with a dollop of whipped cream was light and a very good finish to the meal. My only complaint is that it was a little too dim in the area we were seated. Service was great. I highly recommend the Claim Jumper restaurant.
Went here for a Birthday dinner. They were quick to accommodate our party of 8 but that was about it. The server initially said that they were having trouble with the water so it would take a little bit longer to get the water to put table than normal...no problem. But a little bit longer turned in to NEVER. We had to ask repeatedly for water then finally asked for a soda which he agreed to comp since there was literally no water available. We had to ask for bread. We had to ask for utensils. Then towards the end of our meal we see a table that just got seated being served bottled water. We never even were offered bottled water. When I asked the server about it he simple said “well I can’t GIVE you bottled water”. The problem is he never offered. After finishing our meal we realized we never were spoken to about the occasion for the visit. It was just poor service during a crisis. The evening could have been handled a lot better than it was.
I cannot recall the gentleman's name who assisted us, but he was awesome. He and our waiter made our event GREAT!!!!
Thank you
It was nice and pretty quiet for Saturday night. Food was good and everyone was helpful . Great customer service.
Worst experience at clai
Walking into the restaurant you could already smell the food. Then meeting our waiter she answered all the questions we had and even gave us our own area because she seen I had children which was even better
This was by far the worse service my family and I have had in a long time. Our waitress was rude. Just horrible to say the least. She was not friendly at all and had an attitude about everything. Not only did she remove plates from our table when we were still not done but she didn’t come around to bring condiments nor did she seem to be attentive. Our food was ok but not great. I personally would not go back to this claim jumper location if I knew this particular waitress was going to serve us again. Why be a waitress if you’re not a people person. I understand that not every day is a good day for some but if you’re a profesional person you do your best to be that! Don’t let your circumstances determine who you will be in public. What made my husband cringe is how this waitress was leaning on our daughter’s boyfriend’s chair as if she was so tired and tapped his shoulder to get his attention!! What a bad experience over all!!
Great place to have a dinner! Really enjoyed the atmosphere. We've been coming to Claim Jumper for more than 20 years and certainly enjoy it every time. Great food, good service. We look forward to coming again!
I never knew orders could be called in. We did that and our lunch was at our table within 5 minutes. ABSOLUTELY love that! Thank you for making it easier to have a nice lunch within an hour!!!
Wife's 72nd b'day...just 3 mos. after major heart attack and open-heart surgery. She's probably 5-8 lbs from getting into her wedding dress (52 years ago): active, fit, and trim. She deserves Claim Jumper, her favorite place. Just glad she's doing well; Blanca was an excellent server to that end.
PS She also loves that insane mile-high chocolate cake. If you make my wife fat, I'm gonna go to Arby's! (Just kidding)
Quality of food has deteriorated since Andrew left. Not many gluten free options. Our service was great.
For a dining experience in a modest setting, Claim Jumper is okay.
