Claude Bosi at Bibendum
Well looked after by the bar staff and the restaurant head waiter, sommelier and waitress who looked after us on our anniversary were wonderful loved all of it👍
Food was good, service started out fantastic, then dropped off dramatically as the night came to an end, we had to ask for our bill before desert was even offered. We sat there for 20-30 minutes, drinking water, I finished my wine, while my wife’s glass was empty the last 15 minutes. They didn’t ask us if we wanted coffee or tea, or an after dinner drink. It was our 30 anniversary celebration, which they knew, they brought out our special desert, chocolate truffles, for us as we were paying for our bill. Had the audacity to add 20% tip to the bill.
Again. Very disappointing for a two Michelin star restaurant. Expected the same level of service throughout. Would have ended great, unfortunately that’s last 20-30 minutes ruined an entirely lovely experience.
Wonderful evening at Bibendum. Excellent service and great wine recommendations. The food was outstanding. A memorable meal.
Excellent all round, especially the amuse gueule, and in particular the black olive look alike under the olive tree, a great surprise.
Everything goes really well, I tell to my waiter that the butter was amazing and I've received extra butter, appreciated
It's relaxed and friendly, not overly formal which we enjoyed immensely. The food was divine and served on stunning dishes etc. Some of the best and most appropriate without being gimmicky. A great afternoon.
Fantastic food and service, my husband and I typically do fine dining for both of our birthdays and this did not disappoint. The sommelier recommended some good French wines (we wanted to go French and are not knowledgeable in French wines) and the food really was first class.
We had the tasting menu of which every course was amazing!
It certainly is one of the more pricey tasting menus so be prepared to splurge.
A phenomenal eating experience. Service and food were equally superb. An all round, stunningly good night out.
Definitely worth 2 stars in Michelin with the right level of attention without being pompous. The big plus is the amazing setting in the old Michelin offices, great reminiscence of the past!
Overall an underwhelming experience for a Michelin star chef. Cold and unpersonal service. Almost no introduction to the dishes. Very conservative approach to cooking and presentation. Its very much suited to people who are more interested in signaling wealth than actual foodies.
One of my best culinary experience in months in london
Very tasty food and wine was good value
Excellent dining experience, food was exceptional and excellent service. This is our third visit within twelve months so it speaks for itself! An exceptional experience every time!
A fantastic dinner in a great setting cooked and served by a team.
The signature tasting menu is exceptional highlight are the duck/caviar and the rabbit/langoustine dishes
I cannot recommend the food here enough
You very kindly bought in grouse for our guest which was nicely roasted and much appreciated. The portions were rather small of the other plates but the tastes were excellent
We ordered the surprise menu for the table of 6. The food was beneath the level. I was very disappointed. The service was fair but not as good as I expected.
Canapes and amuse bouche were excellent. The turbot was amazing and loved the sauce with it. Chocolate souffle was worth waiting for.
Excellent food, but not terribly imaginative.
An expert sommelier.
A sligthly stuffy atmosphere.
Beautiful surroundings ona sunny day.
The food and service in the restaurant was impeccable. Every dish was meticulously prepared. The sommelier was excellent the wine was paired perfectly. My only complaint is I would not show up early for a drink next time. The Bordeaux wine my girlfriend ordered while waiting was nearing it’s vinegar stage and when I told the waiter it has spoiled he simply smiled took it away and stilled charged us.
We are frequent customers for ambitious restaurants and have an understanding based on eating out in many countries and levels including some of the restaurants in the top 100. This was a good experience with innovotive food and good combinations of flavours.
A modest setting with impeccably crafted meals. Everything from the canapés when we sat down to the massive cheese board at the end of the meal was designed with meticulous attention to please the senses. Our servers were excellent, with insightful recommendations and focus on every detail. It was a perfect evening in every regard
A classy and beautiful place to eat. The only small criticism would be that the waitress who served us the champagne on arrival miss heard what I asked for and seemed a little put out when a different wine was requested. Everyone else was helpful and happy to explain the food and wine.
We tried the 'surprise 6 course' menu and wine flight for my partners birthday. The food and wine were lovely however nothing outstanding for the price - just French food done very well. There is none of the usual Michelin flair we have experienced from restaurants of this calibre before. The service was not great - we couldn't hear a word our sommelier said and the wine flight was served for the next course as soon as the previous course was cleared. We ended up with up to half an hour waits between some courses meaning the thimble of wine wasn't enough to last you the time between courses - we had to ask for a refill on one course due to the really long delay. I would not say it was an evening worthy of the £500+ it cost us for the two of us.
Absolutely exceptional. Will definitely be back (especially for the chocolate soufflé).
Absolutely amazing, the food was amazing with the most fantastic and welcoming staff :)
Nothing spectacular or special about the food. No distinctive taste. Very bland, primarily creamy and sour flavours
Wine was ridiculously overpriced.
My first visit here. Should have discovered it earlier. While it certainly isnt cheap, go the full measure and try the tasting menu. We opted for the "Surprise" Menu with just a couple of dietary/religious restrictions. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating.
Some f the dishes are great- the "boiled egg" and the single olive. Obviously they were not as they appeared. The food was just perfect- in amount, time between courses and the content. Cod cut to look like a scallop, surf and turf (rabbit and langoustine) and the dessert was a white chocolate flower. Just great.
You must go!!
Fabulous. Lovely room, attentive and knowledgeable staff, amazing food. A special place.
Stunning service, the step up from 1 star to 2 was noticable. The team were seamless in their service and the food was perfect. Thank you
Just a spectacular dinner from beginning to the very end. Also, very inventive & beautiful platings.
What a lovely restaurant. Superb food and wine with charming staff. Expensive but worth it.
A perfect place for a special lunch. Several unexpected treats even with the set lunch - works of art visually and the flavours were amazing. There was no pressure to move through the courses so each could be relished and appreciated. Delightful.
Very nice restaurant and i really love all the starter menu and dessert (especially the souffe). A little bit disappointed on the main course.
A truly wonderful experience. Quite the best restaurant we have been to. The ambiance is quality, unfussy and refined - the creativity in the menu and its delivery simply amazing. We were recommended some excellent wines that really complimented the dishes - and weren't stratospherically expensive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - and we will most certainly be back.
It was a lovely experience. We had one vegetarian course and the carnivores shared a chicken dish . The food was amazing . The wine waiter was ver helpful and suggested some great wine. They thoughtfully brought an extra small dessert for the person whose birthday we were celebrating and were very subtle in the way they did so. All the staff made a great effort so we really enjoyed the evening
A truly memorable experience. Would not hesitate to return. The staff were so helpful and amusing too.
Lovely surprises with every course.
Didnt like the veal sweetbread, tastes very weird.
But the starters and amuse broiche were relatively good.
Services were ok, but there was one waiter quite impolite and I didnt feel comfortable.
