The restaurant i ve ever eaten. The atmosfer, service and of course the food
Thank you for a wonderful evening, nice atmosphere and wonderful dinner! Everything was perfect!
Wonderful service, beautiful food in a stunning setting.
Birthday it was amazing
Amazing food and amazing view!
Delicious food, great service and spectacular views!!!
Overpriced with a focus on style over substance. A broken glass of frozen granita with both of us ordering souffle which were so poorly cooked they could only be described as cake. Not only did they never show signs of sagging the service wanted to remove the top and fill the alleged souffle with 2 chocolate sauces and ice cream something I refused wanting to experience the true essence of what I had expected. Upon complaining the restaurant were clealry aggrieved as the tone and atmosphere changed immediately
If you want well priced exceptional restaurant I would say look no further than Cafe Centrale who must have one of the most up and coming chefs in the region.
We loved the place and had a great dinner. The staff was very polite and friendly and the ambience was beautiful. The location offers a spectacular view for having dinner
Restaurants in this category are typically pretentious and usually reserved for my wife’s birthday. Club del Doge is the antithesis of those restaurants, we brought our young daughter with us and the staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. Moreover, the food was delicious. The sea bass and tiramisu was superb, will come back if ever in Venice.
The outdoor seating offers a fantastic view of the basilica across the Grand Canal! My wife and I tried the tasting menu together. The food was very creative and tasty, but certainly not worth the amount we spent on it. On our honeymoon we had better meals for nearly half the price
Thank you for a wonderful time
Took my fiancée here to celebrate our engagement and she loved every second of it.
Amazing staff lovely setting and a very classy establishment.
Would definitely go again if in Venice and will recommend to friends and family.
Outstanding experience, as usualy.
Food was even better than last years, especialy Lumb duo.
Service was very good, but they need to expalin each dish thorougly.
They even remmeber our anyversary and surely we'll come again.
Expensive but special. I ate a wonderful food whilst enjoying one of the greatest views of my life time.
Good food, nice view, and very good services 👍🏻
We had a great meal, we chose the tasting menu - food was creative and showcased local flavors. We were not disappointed but I will say that this was a little on the expensive side for equivocal meals I’ve had in other cities. Very good service and very good food.
Just go there and have an fantastic dinner :-) I will recommend this restaurant to all those who visit Venezia and looking for anperfect romantic dinner :-)
Incredible experience from fantastic staff. Very helpful and accommodating for our little 1y/o baby girl. Highly recommended!
Fantastic meal in a romantic setting. Many of those around us (and us) were celebrating anniversaries.
Myself and my partner had booked here for a one off whilst in Venice. The food, the staff and the atmosphere was just amazing. I can’t thank the staff enough for helping me create the most perfect setting for my surprise proposal. They even sent out a dessert with congratulations on it... I can’t recommend this place enough.
We came for part of our anniversary trip. Amazing service and food. Many vegetarian options available - along with an amuse bouche. Would absolutely recommend and come again.
Very attentive staff, great location, especially nice as the sun sets. Service was quick but not rushed. Food was presented well & tasted great. I think overpriced compared to equivalent dining experiences in Europe but not necessarily for venice. Definitely paying for the location.
Paying for the location and view. Food and drinks are extremely overpriced and the reservation was pointless as we waited well over an hour to be seated.
If you want to go diner for a special occasion it is perfect.
Fabulous! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening once again - the food was absolutely delicious and the service unsurpassed. Very much looking forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you once again!
Was really lovely, great views with amazing food! If you want to splash out a bit then this is your place. Everything is wonderful. The Sea Bass was tremendous as were the cocktails. And the views and service just made it even more special. The best place on Venice to splash out for!
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant Club del Doge (in Gritti Palace)! The view of the Grand Canal, at the water level, is magical. The restaurant is protected from the wind and the noise of boats by well washed glazed walls. The show of go-and-see boats and gondolas is a treat, just like what's on the plate! We have been able to compare with other very beautiful tables of Venice (Danieli, Grand Hotel Dei Dogi, Caravella, Glam) and it is for us the best table! We are French and know how to appreciate gastronomy. Good value for money, excellent wines, a nice atmosphere with a both elegant and cool welcome (the waiters are welcoming and love to talk with customers, which is quite rare in gourmet restaurants). An address to recommend warmly!
Being a fine dining aficionado, and always going for the most exclusive restaurants Worldwide, I booked a table at Club del Doge for my birthday. I must confess that it wasn’t my first choice when it comes to fine dining in Venezia, but considering the fact that 2 weeks ahead of the event both Terrazza Danieli and Cipriani’s Oro were fully booked on that day, I took what was left for the occasion, Club del Doge.
Unfortunately, I ended up regretting my choice as the food was an absolute embarassement for a Luxury Collection Hotel. Although I went with the waiter’s suggestion and ordered the trio of fish tartare and the homemade pasta with meat sauce, I ended up eating nothing, as I have never experienced such tasteless food in my whole life. The trio tartare was brought on three different plates, each fish presented in a different way and accompanied by different seasoning. Still, the fish used in the tartare was some of the lowest quality found at the Rialto market, and disregarding the unnatural ammount of salt used in the preparation, each dish had the same plain taste. The meat sauce in my pasta was actually the juice that runs out of the oven cooked beef, with the same plain taste as the appetizer. Still, I considered myself lucky as my food, as plain as it was, wasn’t as bad as my husband’s. His appetizer consisted in artichokes that were brought at the table literally carbonized; it’s absolutely inexcusable for the chef Daniele Turco to let something like that leave his kitchen. The waiter offered to change the plate but, tired of surprises, my husband declined. The wine was brought to the table by a waiter who played the role of a sommelier but actually knew nothing about the subject. Still, the wine was great, but for a highly prized Amarone Riserva, I didn’t expect less. As a surprise, I received a complimentary birthday cake that was quite flavourfull. Still, we wouldn’t return to Club del Doge, not even for the beautiful view.
Food was perfect, accommodated a table move to the front for a better view of the canal, and a birthday cake surprise. Absolutely faultless service.
We had the tasting menu, the food was very good but I am not sure it was good value for your money. In our travels around Venice we found a number of good restaurants which were better value for money. The outstanding feature of the Club del Doge was the setting/ambience, right alongside the Grand Canal.
Fantastic food in a beautiful setting. Service was impeccable and made the whole experience very memorable.
A beautiful dinner with exceptional service in an iconic Venice location.
Absolutely fabulous... the food was second to none... the staff were very professional, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making Martins 60th a very memorable occasion x
When we arrived our table was not ready even though it was past their busy time. We had to wait a while to be seated. The staff were very friendly and did try to be accommodating though overall it was not a great experience. It was a very cold night and they did seat us near a heater but we had to wait for an hour before we got any food. During this time we were encouraged to order drinks without seeing the drinks menu and prices. The food we ate was lovely and beautifully presented - though was not as great as expected and the main meal - although 50 euros turned up without any veg (puree only). We didn't stay for dessert. I felt I had spent more than enough of my time there. I was very cold and they did offer me a pashmina and the waiters tried very much to encourage us to stay. We spent 229 euros - had 2 glasses of prosecco, 2 tequila sunrises and 2 lamb dinners. Don't feel we had a lot or more importantly a great experience for our money.
Can’t beat the view. And the staff is very attentive and the food is very good.
Pricy, though. We went the night before our dinner just for drinks at the bar and were surprised to see three drinks cost 72 Euro—that’s about $30/martini.
