Had an enjoyable evening only two very minor gripes, that were sorted very quickly. Good value for money and great for Tamworth. Advice for the owners, maybe try and get yourselves on The meerkat meals? Would get more exposure??
We were very disappointed with the poor quality of the food and despite sending one meal back they still tried to charge us for the meal. It wasn’t very busy and Lots of staff were working but we still didn’t receive good table service and were waiting long periods of time!
I emailed them about their nutritional information and never got a reply back so obviously they don’t care!
We went with 5 kids for my daughters birthday, great value kids menu. General menu not extensive but what we had was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Would recommend
Our first visit, would definitely go there again. Food was good value and the lady that served our table was very attentive and helpful.
Overall happy food was lovely cooked perfect and the service was good.
Really enjoyed our evening meal here myself husband and kids had a great time and food was very nice. Staff very friendly and accommodating lovely atmosphere
Lovely decor, very family friendly, the kids activity pack was excellent and our server was polite and attentive.
Sadly we were served cold chips, over cooked steak, tasteless fish goujons and ice cream sundaes with more whipped cream in than anything else. Definitely not worth the £60 we paid.
Staff did offer to replace meals but we were half way through by the time they came over, so decided not to bother. Such a shame as it’s a lovely venue in a great location.
If the quality of food and/or the chef improves, we would definitely consider coming back.
Brilliant service and value for money. The Pizzas are handmade and huge!
Great food, great service. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Only thing I would say was we ordered garlic bread for our kids not realised kids have Doug balls for starter. Yes on menu but waistress could of mention it !!
Well what can I say? What a difference from the Wimpy outlet that was based here before! The staff were extremely attentive & the food was delivered so quickly, it was brilliant!
The food itself was extremely tasty, I loved the house slaw, it was delicious. All meals looked appetising & very appealing. The desserts were beautiful with a great choice to choose from.
I will definitely be returning here with my family for a treat.
Went for my wife’s birthday. Service was very good and staff were attentive. Food came out without a long delay and was enjoyable.
Nice venue, starters were a little burnt but was not bad. One steak was excellent, but my burger was a little bitty and wasn’t that tasty.
Service was average, everyone pleasant but forgot a drinks order and asked for kids meal to come out same time as starters but failed to. Lady did apologise and it followed through shortly after.
We had a half price voucher which made what we had a good value for money trip, but if I had paid full price I would have been a little disappointed.
We’ll be back...I think...but I have other places that smash Clyde’s service and food quality out of the park each time I go there.
Great place. Good food and service. Will definitely go back.
Gluten free options were really poor. Served by 5 different people so I had to keep explaining I was gluten free. Food was average. I had the salmon salad but couldn’t tell whether the salmon should be cold or hot because it was just about warm. We had to keep going up to the bar and asking where our drinks were because they were taking 10 minutes to make when they only had 2 other tables on a quiet Monday night. Not to mention that we could see at least 5 staff stood around the bar doing absolutely nothing while we waited for drinks, plates to be taken away and the bill. The staff were unenthusiastic, slow and lazy. Overpriced for what it was. Will not be going there again!
We had a family meal at Clyde’s to celebrate our son’s GCSE results. There was 8 of us, including 2 younger children. We were all well catered for, children were given activity packs soon as we sat down, I was grateful of this to keep them entertained. Waiter was polite & friendly, didn’t rush us but we wasn’t left waiting either, he was able to give advice on what was on the menu, he knew how the food was served, would it be spicy etc. Appreciated his knowledge. We waited no longer than 30 minutes for food & all meals were nice & fresh, no complaints at all. The children’s meals were a decent size for the price. Adult pizzas were delicious & what we couldn’t finish, was boxed up for us to take home. After dinner mints are served with the bill, nice touch! Atmosphere was comfortable, relaxed & cosy in the evening. Will definitely return.
Great service. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Spicy chicken wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped but nice. Everyone enjoyed the food.
The kids meals were good value. However a lot of the food was over cooked and took a long time to arrive despite there being only 2 other meals before ours being prepared. I couldn’t eat my breaded mushrooms as they tasted horrible and were very hard. Shame the main adult meals are pretty expensive.
The food was lovely. The service was slow and quite poor. Staff were pleasant, no major issues but watching frozen dessert being prepared and left on the side for quite some time while staff cleaned round it was frustrating. Nice enough place but won’t be back any time soon.
Went for 2nd time no gluten free menu so was difficult for one of our group. Delay on one child's meal who was hungry and had to watch other child eat .Delay on steak meal had to ask for it twice all food should have come out together . Dough balls for kids had to be requested they where free. And desserts confusing should say what it is some are ice cream some arnt it's hard to make out what. Still enjoyed the food and the staff were nice .
Fantastic food, service was excellent and would recommend. Will be going again.
It was horrible felt sick all night and the waitresses hadn't got a clue won't be back.
Service was terrible and had two young children and we were sat on a high up table. There was plenty of other tables available throughout our stay that were still vacant when we left. Took ages for anyone to take our order. The quality of the food was poor especially for the price more on pa with westherspoons and a very small limited menu.
Plates weren't cleared, children may have had a dessert as didn't touch there dinner. Pizza was barely cooked and we had no check back on the food and couldn't get anyones attention to come over. In the end we asked for the bill plates all still on the table. Definitely won't be revisiting or recommending. It's a shame as tamworth has such a small amount of food establishments had hoped this would be better.
Fantastic service, food was great especially the burgers.
Will definitely re visit
Nice place wasn't too busy food nice and hot children's burger a little over done but overall good
Food was very good. Typical grill menu, burgers, pizza etc. Service was good too. A bit noisy for me but that’s just my preference which is why only 4 stars.
Looks nice, service was slow and struggled to hear waitress over the music. Menu was limited and food was average. No warning on the door about the step saw a couple if people stumble in and out.
Good food, under trained staff who had no clue what they're doing. The food saved the evening, other than that I could not recommend Clyde's.
The food was very nice, but service was slow although the restaurant wasn’t very busy at all.
The menu was very limited with not much selection.
Arrived, waited to be seated (place was almost empty)??? Finally seated after confusion with computer? Waitress took our order for drinks and waited 10 minutes then another waitress came and asked if we wanted drinks??? I pointed out that the three staff behind and near the bar were a bit busy messing with menus?? The waitress finally bought our drinks and apologised for the wait. She then took our food order. I had ribs and my partner had a burger. Not a bad waiting time for food but my ribs were burnt!! They were actually black. I ate a few but when the waitress came over at the end of the meal and asked if all was ok I pointed out the burnt ribs to which she agreed that they were burnt and would tell the chef. She came back over and said the chef sent his apologies and they would take the price of the ribs from my bill which I thought was fair enough. The waitress (Chloe) was well mannered and professional. Once I was home I received an email asking why I hadn’t turned up for my booking??? What a cheek!!!
Overall, a bit of a shambles, your staff need better computer training. Your diners should be priority over anybody using the bowling alley for drinks orders. Are you a bowling alley bar/cafe or a resteraunt? And don’t serve obviously burnt food.
I really am willing this place to do well as it is a much needed addition to Tamworth and the Bowling Alley! They are certainly heading in the right direction but there are still some definite areas for improvement.
We pre-booked a table and despite arriving 20 minutes early our table was ready. The décor is fantastic and we were sat in a secluded booth which was perfect with 2 kids. The waitress who took us to our table was polite and friendly and presented our children with an activity sheet each and crayons. The menu isn't huge but there is a good selection of burgers, freshly made pizzas and steaks as well as the normal type of childrens menu you would expect. My husband and son ordered an adults burger with a side portion of calamari, I had the rump steak with a side portion of hollandaise sauce and my daughter had a childrens pizza.
Unfortunately our meals took 50 minutes to arrive despite the restaurant being approximately half full! However, my steak was excellent, the burgers were very meaty and tasty and my daughters freshly made pizza was huge. The calamari was chewy and I realised after we left that my hollandaise sauce never actually arrived but due to the quality of the mains be decided to opt for a dessert. The dessert menu is fairly limited, mainly sundaes. The desserts were ok but I probably wouldn't bother again! In total we were in the restaurant for 2 hours due to the wait time on food.
Overall the staff were friendly, food was tasty and reasonably priced and the décor and atmosphere was great! I would love to see them improve on their wait times and expand their menus (especially desserts)! I would definitely recommend as hopefully this place is only going to get better and better!
An enjoyable early evening meal. Great food, good service and friendly staff. I have recommended to friends who plan to visit soon.
Really nice place, the menu is good, simplistic and very family friendly. Staff are friendly and there is plenty of them so you aren’t waiting for ages to find one. My only complaint with my meal was the same complaint I have at every restaurant I visit lately. I had a burger and it appears that the current trend is to try and make them tall enough to touch the ceiling which just makes them fall apart when you’re trying to eat it or means you have to take everything off it to eat it. These need to be made flatter and wider not taller and thinner then they would be perfect.
