Coach at The Bull Beaumaris
The ingredients we use matter to us. We love to make the most of our surroundings, cooking with local seafood and meats sprinkled with a pinch of Anglesey Sea Salt. Fresh crab and mussels from the Menai Strait, Anglesey lamb and Welsh beef are ultimate favourites of ours. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion or pop in straight from the beach, you’ll find something to suit your mood at Coach. We look forward to welcoming you soon in Coach!
Nice venue, food good. Asked for extra gravy but it never came. Made a joke of it so no big deal. Reasonable pricing. Would give it another shot
Our table for two was in close proximity to another similar table which we thought might be a little invasive of privacy, however the general ambiance on a busy Saturday night in the restaurant meant it wasn’t a problem. The menu was pleasing and well priced, and the wine selection erred on the side of quality rather than quantity. The waiting staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the management team likewise. The outside dining area looked welcoming, maybe on another occasion rather than a chilly mid September evening. I would recommend Coach to anyone visiting Beaumaris, particularly for a special occasion in smart surroundings.
Nice place - although a bit noisy and the tables were too close together. The food was OK. My husband asked for a medium stake, but it was rare in places (as was the lady's on the 'too close' table next to us). I had the tofu which, again, was OK and nothing more.
On arrival we were asked if we'd like tap water for the table. We said yes, but 20 minutes later we had to ask again. Having said that, the staff were all very pleasant and the surroundings nice.
I'm not sure if I'd go again to be honest, but I'd recommend it to others based on the general ambience.
Excellent food with friendly staff in a great place.
Good veg. Tough stringy roast beef.
Burned lemon mille fuille with very thin lemon layer and 4 raspberries as decoration. No response or reduction to complaint. Soft millionaires shortbread.
Great bistro style restaurant, busy and buzzy atmosphere. We were told that the restaurant was very busy with a large party and our food may be delayed. This was very helpful and we were given some bread to keep us going. We very much appreciated this honest communication. In fact we didn't wait to long at all. The menu is varied with plenty of choice. Our food was well presented, well cooked and flavoursome. The staff were polite, attentive and professional. All in all a very good meal, in a great contemporary restaurant.
The best Sunday Lunch we’ve ever had.
Choice was excellent and staff very efficient
Food was the best i have had on a long time would highly recommend
Lovely restaurant, excellent food, friendly efficient staff. Recommended.
Visited the Bull Bistro fora meal with friends.
Good service and food in a lovely location.
A friendly atmosphere created by mine host. Good range of food although the portions were rather too large for our not-so-young table. Would certainly go again if staying in the area.
Fantastic food and good service. we were inundated by wasps throughout out meal, the staff were good in trying to get rid of them but there were a few flying around us. otherwise fantastic restaurant.
Good food and great service in a restaurant with good décor and seating and a really nice vib.
Really gorgeous place food and staff spot on
You must try it !
Greasy fatty sandwich , didn’t enjoy it
We thought the food was lovely, we loved our meals and the menu choice. Really good wine list too. We will definitely be back.
Lovely Sunday afternoon lunch
As a regular visitor....to eat here...we experienced good food....good staff....but lengthy delay between courses....to the point they were laying up breakfast before our main course was served !!….not happy about that.....maybe it was Saturday night.....but we were disappointed as we were taking friends out for a meal.
Slow service and food not up to the expected standard. Have been many times before but will not be returning in the future. Food was not value for money and the slow service from some staff who seemed inexperienced in customer care very disappointing.
Excellent food, varied menu to accommodate our dietary needs. Service attentive and friendly, lovely venue
Enjoyed the meal here; some good food and wine, with helpful and friendly service. Lamb cutlets and sea bream were both good, as was the mielle-feuille dessert and cured salmon starter. Slight disappointment were the roast tomatoes, served with the scallops starter (cold). Good value champagne.
I have dined here on many occasions both in the coach and upstairs when the restaurant was open.
The Bull is a lovely establishment and the food was very good and served quickly. Unfortunately the head waiter had clearly forgotten about our drinks menu and as such, after 10 minutes had to ask where they were. The service was not as slick as one would expect for such a well respected establishment. I sensed there were a lot of new and inexperienced staff there who did their best under the circumstances. Without meaning to offend I have to say that they head waiter and supervisor needs to smarten up his appearance. This is the Bull and as such an untucked casual shirt and walking shoes does not really blend in well with the environment. I could not knock the food however.
Enjoyed the food, cocktails and ambience. Would love to return and stay here next time too.
Great food and really nice staff would recommend to friends and family
We had a most enjoyable evening at the Coach.
The staff were most welcoming and the service was fast and efficient.
Everyone in our party of four agreed that they really enjoyed the courses they chose (I had an excellent steak!)
We loved the decor and the friendly atmosphere and would love to dine there again.
Thank you so much!
Had the meal included with our room which was great value.
The Thai mussels which were a special were amongst the best I've had.
The food, service, setting, wine, was all beautiful. We couldn’t fault any of it. The weather was nice so we were able to sit outside to eat which was so lovely, the ambience was great.
Been several occasions, hit & miss with food quality. Expensive overall,. Menu choice not brilliant, long wait between servings
Steak was over cooked, asked for medium but was very disappointed as rib eye was dry and we’ll done. This spoilt the whole meal as accompaniments were also over cooked. Have been to the bull on many occasion in the past but this was very poor. Not sure we will return.
Good service. Interesting menu could easily have ordered different 3-4 dishes. Portions were generous
Food and service was exceptional, would recommend to everyone, will be coming again.
Great food as usual...went for Sunday lunch...it was excellent!
Great food and good service, before we left we booked again for the following week.
Nice food, good choice, good pleasant service, low background music, reasonably priced - you need to be patient and allow time to be served.
Had the halibut with orange and whiskey sauce which was runny and had no tase of either of the named flavours. The meal had no seasoning and was overall very bland.
Lovely meal for an anniversary celebration. Moules mariniere were fantastic with good size portion, and chunky bread. Fish pie was beautiful too - served with green veg. Very hot and a good size portion. Food is cooked especially so it is not particularly quick but that’s not the idea at a good restaurant - food is cooked fresh so there will be a bit more of a wait. Service was good, attentive but not overly so. Pudding selection was fair - chocolate brownie was good, and there is a coffee plus small pud option which is a good idea.
Really good overall, will certainly go again in the future.
We had a booking for 7.45 pm. The drinks took nearly half an hour to arrive. The food was not served until 8.45 pm which was totally unacceptable. By the time we left there did not seem to be anyone to complain to.
Service was average and when my first course was taken away I had to say I was unhappy with the first course as it was obvious I wasn't going to be asked - the beetroot hummus was ok but the pitta bread should have been served warm (as stated on the menu) but the dish must have been left out before being served. The waiters/waitresses were smartly dressed, however what appeared to be the Manager (a man probably 50's) was very casual with shirt untucked. The next course was excellent (rump steak) but let down by the dessert (chocolate brownie & ice cream) as such a small portion & have tested much nicer. Overall it was a bit hit & miss with the food & service.
Service slow but understand it was bank holiday but some staff just wandered about. Food was ok but took a while some meals lacked meat portions and tried to be hidden in loads of gravy.
Food was poor in taste and did not represent good value for money.
