About

Coach is our stylish restaurant where we serve an informal menu in casual brasserie-style surroundings. Choose to eat inside amongst the rich colours and contemporary fabrics or soak up the Welsh fresh air in our al fresco dining area in the adjacent courtyard during the summer months.
The ingredients we use matter to us. We love to make the most of our surroundings, cooking with local seafood and meats sprinkled with a pinch of Anglesey Sea Salt. Fresh crab and mussels from the Menai Strait, Anglesey lamb and Welsh beef are ultimate favourites of ours. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion or pop in straight from the beach, you’ll find something to suit your mood at Coach. We look forward to welcoming you soon in Coach!

Very disappointing. For £15 for a main course I would have expected some imagination regarding the sides-instead a I received 1 large undercooked carrot and 1 unseasoned floret of cauliflower and broccoli which filled the plate. As for the dessert...after waiting 30 minutes I left before receiving it. Won’t be returning.

First visit since the restaurant upstairs ‘the Loft’ closed and very disappointed, we had squid and scallops to start, the squid was tough and tasteless and the scallops were tiny, I was expecting queenies as stated which are smaller but these were much smaller and cold which I didn’t expect, I suspect both were frozen , scallops were £11.50 so definitely not worth the price. One steak and one lamb cutlets fir mains were fine , dauphinois bring the best thing on the plate, I did say I was disappointed and there was no feedback until the bill came with a 10% reduction, would rather have had some information on the food than a discount, sadly our special occasion place has gone forever I fear , £72 bill for a disappointing meal, will not return

I have had very good experiences on my previous 2 visits for dinner and expected the same when I recently visited for lunch. I was disappointed to find that the lunch menu was much smaller than the dinner menu. While being seated I ordered 2 drinks, 10 minutes later 1 arrived. I reminded the server that 2 drinks had been ordered. After 25 minutes the second drink still hadn't been served so I asked the server again. The second drink arrived 35 minutes after being seated. I ordered another beer. This took another 15 minutes to arrive after a further reminder. The wrong brand was served, I asked for what I ordered to be served. The room had enough staff and was not full so I can only conclude that the serving processes were no being operated correctly. The food was generally good but my main course was supposed to be steak on focaccia but was served on a brioche bun. I didn't ask for this issue to be resolved because I had run out of time and didn't know how long this would take to fix given my previous service experiences.

Very disappointed.

We visit Beaumaris at least 3 to 4 times a year and always include a dinner at The Coach. Sadly after many years I feel we will look for an alternative.. the food is still good ( although disappointing that they have stopped the little touches such as local breads). The service was very poor... glasses swept off table as soon as we sat down without asking if we even wanted wine ( which incidentally we did).
No one really hosted us all evening... food was 40 minutes, had to ask for drinks, no food check back and generally looked as they just didn’t want to serve us. Such a shame as we have always relied on it as our go to venue for Saturday evening meal. I

Starter was cold and of very poor quality. I’m not sure whether this was because service had only just started- table booked for 5pm. Main meal was better but the mood had already been set by the starter

Very happy with the choice of restaurant. We were allowed to sit at our table early. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food very good. All 4 guests happy with their food. Ambiance was good and noise level not too high.

Great food and great service.
The restaurant was a little warm; I would look at changing the music as nobody wants to eat to Olly Murs!
Add a steak to the menu, but to be honest, that’s me being picky.
We will definitely be back.

Everything about this place is disappointing.
The bar is aged and poor quality. The food was quite frankly shocking! The risotto was a disgrace and the roasts were pitiful.
AVOID!!

Sadly, we did not enjoy our evening with friends. Two meals were fine but the two lamb meals were not. One was not cooked to order and went back. The other was impossible to cut into. Neither were Cutlets but more like a robust rack of lamb The kitchen was slow to deal with our plates and as a result two of us had finished eating before the final dish came back.
Compound that with lees at the bottom of the Merlot - that was the last straw.
Very disappointed.
I contacted the Bull the next day but have not received any response.

The staff were very friendly and the actual place is lovely unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday night before the bonfire and fireworks so it took over an hour to get our food some of which was undercooked so had to be sent back. A real shame as this would be a lovely place if they could sort out the food.

Lovely atmosphere with a nice ambience to the place but unfortunately we picked a day when the kitchen was under staffed?! Although the manager did apologise we waited a long time for the starters to arrive. When the food did arrive it was nice apart from the vedgtables which were under cooked!
A shame because overall a lovely place to dine in.

Lovely atmosphere and interior but just felt that the food lacked any taste to it. One steak was cooked okay but lots of fat and the other was grey and looked like it had been boiled. Hay hollandaise is also not a great eating experience but there were no other sauce options.

Excellent food. For some reason, as last time we were there, the service was rather slow after we were seated, slow follow-up in taking drinks and food orders. Then speeded up. But very enjoyable ambiance, first rate food, altogether first rate and we will be regulars when in Beaumaris. Highly recommended. Especially the seafood chowder!

Had Sunday lunch. Was warm and cosy as it was bad weather outside. Food was ok. Hummus quite tasteless and oversized portion of whitebait. Sunday lunch meat was a little tasteless also but rest of meal was fine. Staff were attentive.

We were warmly greeted by the staff and seated without delay even though we had arrived early. The staff were attentive throughout the meal but not too intrusive. The food was excellent in quality and presentation; indeed the ribeye steaks were probably the best we had ever tasted. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anybody and we will return next time we are in the area.

We have been dining at The Bull on a regular basis since the Coach opened under its original name about 20 years ago.
We have always regarded it as a special and inviting place to dine. The ambiance has always enjoyable and first class.
On the food side I would say that over the last couple of years the meals that my wife and I have had are not at the same level as the previous 18 years.
Our visit on October 5th was our first this year. While the meal was extremely good, it was the second attempt as we had to send back the first due to being cold.
Hopefully next time we go, which we will, it will be perfect first time.

Couldn’t fault the decor or ambience. Food ok. Waited 20 minutes for someone to ask if we’d like dessert. By this time we’d grown tired of waiting, and got up to ask for the bill. Better restaurants to be found locally.
