We live in the area and this was our first time going to Coast for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!
We are so happy to be able to enjoy our favorite restaurants again! Being outside was a different experience and we really enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back.
It was nice just eating out after being in isolation for so long. Food is ok. Seemed much better because first meal out in a long time. Owner was not good ignored us for 15 minutes while waiting in sun. Reservation was really not needed.
A memorable dinner on their outdoor deck - first meal out in two months! Everything was fresh and delicious.
Food and service was amazing, will definitely be back
Love their Greenwich Restaurant Week Menu $39.99 with a lot of choices. Party 6 of us all enjoyed the dinner we had. Recommend Tuna tartare, Popcorn Shrimp, Butternut Squash Soup, Wild salmon, Tuna steak, Seafood lobster risotto.
Great 2 course lunch for $20. Ample selection well worth a visit.
Overall very good value for a high quality seafood meal. Oysters were very fresh and delicious, fish dishes were prepared in a simple yet classy way that everyone enjoyed their time. Service was attentive and pleasant. We will come back.
I had a great leisurely lunch at Coast, the food was deliciously presented with twist of flavor, and service was efficiently at ease but responded to every need. $19 for 2 courses meal was excellent for this town.
I LOVE this place ! The food is always on point, tasty appetizers ,nice fresh sushi and sashimi, delicious and satisfying entrees like the Alaskan halibut with burre blanc sauce and great food homemade squid ink pasta with mixed seafood, for dessert I love their warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. Service is always great , very friendly and attentive.I especially like the nice quiet atmosphere its a great place to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner .Can't wait to come back again. THANKS COAST
We had reservation for Valentine's dinner, and had to wait 45 min for our table..but did not get any special sorry, free drink etc..Several others were also waiting for their table. You would think the restaurant knows that guests on Valentine are out to have a nice experience, not just any night. Finally seated, and they did not set the table right, no silverware plates etc. Restaurant had no heat, guests sat with coats on. First time back to restaurant in 10 years, and had hoped for a nice local dinner, but had a very poor experience instead.
Staff / Owner was not prepared for a large crowd, but the food is excellent.
The Duck egg roles are something both of us did not enjoy. They were densely packed into their shell without balance of vegetables and seasoning. The draft coming through the door was on more than off. A few tables around us also had changed seats with their partners to get reprieve. There was a curtain it just wasn’t closed all the way.
Great food, Great Service a neighborhood gem. I am so glad we found this local restaurant.
Coast is one of our favorite seafood restaurants . Thanks for a great dining experience. The food was incredible & service was GREAT! The butternut squash soup was the best I ever had as well as the gilled octopus sooo tender .Our seafood risotto was just as good as always and the Bronzino could not have been better , it was cooked to perfection with a delightful sauce. Dessert was a lovely creme brulee and the flourless chocolate cake did not disappoint either. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
I don’t like posting bad reviews but I wish I knew before we chose this place for our one night in the area. I felt a bit rushed and ambiance was not great. The place was empty and I had to push through a curtain to get into the Restaurant. There were space heaters throughout. It felt a bit makeshift.
The bread was reheated, toasted sliced bread. The octopus appetizer was mushy. We ordered the branzino special but not sure it was branzino as it had thickness and consistency of trout. I am not a branzino expert but think it should be a very white flaky fish. This was not. It came with a small amount of veggies. I would not return nor recommend this restaurant.
Dear Traveller19. We are very sorry that you had a negative experience at our restaurant. Our family have been in business for over 17 years with great reviews across the board. Our community based restaurant serves high quality of foods and is proud to offer one the best service in town. We would love to have you back so we give you the experience you deserve. Our sincere apologies, The Coast Management.
Want to say this upfront try the seafood risotto it is out of this world. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is fantastic and service is good. Really enjoyed time with my girlfriend
We had a wonderful experience here for dinner. The squid ink pasta with seafood special was outstanding. An appetizer of shishito peppers and Toro tartar started us off were excellent choices as well . Very friendly staff was attentive and not overbearing . FIVE STARS ...WE WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK SOON .THANKS FOR THE GREAT NIGHT
Wonderful service and food The salmon was cooked to perfection with a lovely burre blanc sauce. The grilled octopus waa tender and delicious. We also had a great bottle of wine that complimented the meal quite nicely . The Staff took very good care of us as well. Thanks for a great evening.
I'm sorry but we try this restaurant optimistically every couple of years and hope that it gets better. Its just kind of blah . . . very pleasant service but I feel like my cooking is better and more interesting. Its nice to get a quiet healthy meal cooked by someone else but the atmosphere is dull -- needs a stylish update of some kind (in my opinion).
Good food, nice place. Will go again.
Beautiful ambiance ! The restaurant is so festive and decorated beautifully for the holidays. We ordered Shishito peppers and Gyoza Dumplings, Seafood Risotto and Halibut. One of the best pieces of Halibut I've ever had. Seasoned perfectly. Everything is a la carte. Delicious meal.
Restaurant holiday decor was very warm and pretty. Food was delicious and price fix was a great deal! Service was friendly and accommodating.
Service was at its slowest. I ended up asking for our dessert right after they served the entree because i don’t want to wait another hour as we did between appetizer and entree. Speaking about appetizer which they served an hour after the order, it (lobster bisque) was so salty i wasn’t even able to eat it. My son ate his because he got so hungry waiting for food
Good apps - gyoza - and salad. Good old fashioned roasted duck - good. Chicken pailliard very good, as was the Napoleon fir dessert. Drinks a bit overpriced.
The three of us were celebrating a lady’s 84th birthday. Everything was terrific! The food was, as always, spot on. We felt like we couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. Thanks, Cindy!
Small restaurant with varied menu. Service was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Noise level was very low.
Excellent fish dishes and amazing service. Nice place when you want to have a easy comfortable night
Very pleasant birthday dinner. Good shrimp, scallops, fish and chicken options. Purées cauliflower very good. Well done but a few things lacking seasoning - please put salt on the tables!! Strawberry Napoleon light and delicious.
My husband and I chose this restaurant from Open Table due to its proximity to Greenwich High School where we were headed to the Greenwich Symphony performance. Our waitress was lovely, advised us well on the menu and specials. We liked the quiet ambiance of the restaurant quite a bit, and our appetizers (me, the butternut squash soup and my husband, oysters) were delicious. My husband chose the lobster risotto and I the sea scallops, but we were both disappointed that for the prices being charged, the kitchen couldn't even add a serving of grilled vegetables on the sides... clearly, my scallops needed something more on the plate. I do recommend the creme brulee for dessert, however, it was delicious.
Have already recommended to a few friends. Dinner, food was excellent. Had wonderful service, even bringing wines to taste in order to make my selection, two sauces for my entree and a special birthday dessert for our birthday celebration. Wonderful time and quiet enough to talk with each other. Never felt rushed. A friend introduced me to this place on a Tuesday so we opted for the Tues bottle of wine special! Came back for the birthday. I hear they have a lunch special as well. Must go.
The food was delicious as was the service.
We enjoyed Coast very much and I would recommend it whole heartedly.
Good food and noce service. Not the most exiting of places but if you want a quiet dinner, this is a good place.
The overall experience was excellent, the food is sooo good, the place is really nice and the service was great. We tasted their sushi special, shrimp cocktail, roasted butternut squash soup, the half duck(crispy and delicate but delicious), lobster special, fish and chips. The location is fine and easy for parking and we had a great dinner. Highly recommended!
Each week when we dine at Coast for lunch besides the regular delicious food there is 2 courses lunch prix fixe special $19. Always good and fresh. The seasonal butternut squash soup and peach salad are amazing to us.
We used to rave about this place. Terribly downhill trip. Grumpy inattentive staff. Service pretty awful and blandest entree ever. Bye bye
Went to celebrate my girlfriend's recent certification and was not disappointed. Very warm setting and ambience. We had their specials salmon summer roll and rainbow trout which were truly amazing. Waitress Laura was also very helpful and nice.
Bad experience all around. Charge Manhattan prices, not worth it.
