Lovely food the waitresses were very friendly & efficient. Spotlessley clean. A great place for a friend's get together & an intimate meal for 2,caters for everyone.
Been once before. Really like it. Service from Rachel is first class. All food has been very good apart from this time - burger was really over cooked. Rachel took the decision to not charge for it. Have rebooked to take my family tonight!.
Second visit following a poor first visit we thought we would try again! Camembert starter wasn’t cooked, reappeared 2mons after sending back bubbling! Obviously been microwaved! 3 attempts at making our steaks which were way over cooked each time with the additional sauce we ordered never arriving! Refused to pay which the manager was fair about however Won’t be dining again!
I came here for the 3rd Fathers Day in a row and I couldn't be happier with the food, service and atmosphere of this place! We usually like to try different places but Cobblestones is so fantastic that we just keep coming back! The food was amazing and the staff couldn't be more welcoming or accommodating than they were. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends or family members. Beautiful place, lovely people and the best food! Thank you guys for time and time again providing a brilliant service :)
Excellent food and service as always. Really can’t recommend this place enough, well worth a visit.
Fantastic meal. Husband had a fantastic Sunday lunch, little boy loved his pasta and Ice team as usual. My chicken with chorizo and olives was fantastic and the ultimate G&t deserves a mention too - yum!
Fabulous food, super Gin & tonic selection and great service. One very happy customer. Will definitely be returning.
We arranged to meet our son here. He works in Halifax and while we were visiting Leeds in the morning we thought Cobblestones was a good placed to meet for lunch. In fact we live on the East Coast of Yorkshire. I had read the reviews on line and it didn't disappoint. We will be back.
First visit, we had a tastecard which helped with the prices, overall reasonable. Lots of specials different nights and happy hour drinks. Lovely friendly staff, food beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Nice venue,
Friendly, professional staff all round. Menu choice is good. We took advantage of the 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £30....excellent value. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant outdoor seating.
What a great surprise, wasn't sure where to eat in Sowerby Bridge, checked out opentable and found this gem. Very good all round, value for money.
Overall the food was good but we ordered gluten free seafood linguini which came with king prawns - the waitress came back to say they had NO gluten free pasta- ridiculous when it’s on the menu! Then we ordered a fish sharing platter & the waitress offered some gluten free bread so we accepted- she then came back to say there was NO gluten free bread- ridiculous! When the pasta dish arrived it was spaghetti- not linguini & the prawns were tiny- not king prawns- a very poor experience for a Saturday night!
Excellent steak and rustic chips, bottle of Vino for 2, what a Friday tea time treat!
Visited for lunch and very disappointed. When given the menus we were told there were no sandwiches or quesadillas on. Bearing in mind that this was the Friday before a Bank Holiday I was not impressed. The poor waitress apologised profusely but I did say that this was the second time I had heard that excuse. I was told that they had no bread and had been let down by their delivery company but I'm afraid that's of no interest to me and it seems like poor management. As far as sandwiches go surely they could have gone out and got some bread??? Normally I like this restaurant very much (when they have a full menu!!) and it's a shame that this happened. We decided to go somewhere else to eat that day. We will go back to Cobblestones at some point but it was extremely disappointing.
Women who seated us was very rude there was no one around I went upstairs to see if I could be seated and was basically told off for not waiting downstairs, even if I was wrong for doing that she shouldn’t of had a go at me especially when I was being so polite, also it took 20 minutes to get asked if we wanted a drink it’s a shame the service was so bad because the food was very good I wouldn’t go back
Lovely setting, fab food, great staff ...definitely going back soon!!
Went on a Friday night staff good nice surroundings.
Food expensive and not exciting 2 platters 1 fish 1 cheese.
Fish ok cheese unexciting tub of warm camembert 4 bits of hard ciabatta and spoon of onion chutney expensive at 15.00. Selection of cheeses celery etc doesn't cost the earth and far more tempting
Good food, friendly staff, cool place. Wharf side location
Had a nice night for sisters birthday food was good came to table nice and hot portions a rather large good value for money will definitely be visiting again
Mother’s day treat.
Have been before and experienced top notch food and service so decided to return. Absolutely beautiful meal once again.
The personal touches such as a glass of prosecco for the mums, to the bunch of daffodils to take away, are the little extras that make Cobblestones stand out from the rest of the establishments nearby.
Food is delicious and delightfully presented. Staff are polite and obliging.
Can not fault whatsoever.
Lovely food . Great service. Nothing is too much trouble. Really helpful
Cozy. Relaxed. Trendy. Fab food. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit
Good food but very noisy customers in the corner spoiled the enjoyment somewhat.
Really good food enjoyable atmosphere nice staff very friendly place
We had a lovely meal here, food was absolutely yummy especially my burger! Attentive staff, it wasn't busy on the night we were there but I'm sure when busier it would have a lovely ambience. Will definitely visit again.
Food was beautiful, I couldn’t of wished for a more perfect night. Highly recommend to anyone
Fantastic cocktails and gin menu. Food great and lovely helpful staff.
Absolutely fabulous ! - our new favourite place for Sunday lunch
Visited Cobblestones for Sunday lunch. Booked on line and was greeted and seated immediately on arrival. Service at the table was friendly and professional. We ordered a decent bottle of Rioja and some tap water which arrived in a jug with plenty of ice. Both of our Sunday lunches were excellent with great Yorkshire puddding and gravy. Vegetables were served on the side. We both decided on a dessert which were also very good. After our meal, I decided to try a G&T from their gin menu and my wife had tea. Total bill was just over £50.
We sat upstairs which is the quietest part of the place. There are some seats downstairs in front of the bar and there is a great decked area out front which is great in the summer, overlooking the canal. We occasionally stop off for drinks on a warm day as it's such a great spot, tucked away on the canalside.
Never a let down, 6th visit now, excellent food, very good friendly waitresses and host ,that did more than they needed to for daughters birthday meal. Only downside is a small wine menu. Otherwise 10/10
Came back to Cobblestones for our friend's Xmas get-together and we were not disappointed. Great food as always and not too expensive - we had two courses for £19.00 - very good value in the Valley.
Lovely staff made us very welcome and looked after us (group of recycled teenagers!). Had a fun time and will not leave it so long to go back again.
Excellent service, beautiful food and fantastic atmosphere. Will be going back
Loved the ambience - beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Very quiet when we went but was a Wednesday lunchtime and quite early. Friendly staff and value for money food. Will definitely return!
I’ll keep this simple.
Service very good
Food generally very tasty but with a few minor issues
I would definitely go again
This was a spur of the moment choice and opentable helped there. I loved my food and the upstairs booth was really nice.
The food was great. Service a bit slow but there was a large celebration on opposite side (prob 12 people)
Did not like the entrance door not closing properly. Also staff did not intervene when an ignorant other guest held the door open wainting for there friends (too long). We were just having a drink awaiting our table and it took the pleasure out of that.
This particular place has a very good atmosphere and the serving staff are spot on. The fillet steak was lovely but the sane can't be said for the rest of the meal. Chunky chips, aunt bessie does better, onion rings in too fat and undercooked batter. Nice pint of erdinger weiss beer though.
Excellent setting and excellent food, what more could you ask for, very enjoyable lunch
We had an excellant lunch with some being able to have vegetarian food
