Good food and service served piping hot as it should be, cocktails good also. A bit unlucky with a large party next to us that could only communicate by shouting otherwise a very nice experience.
The food was nice but considering the price it was quite underwhelming. Ambience was nice and service was good but ultimately the food didn't marry up with the price.
Fantastic night, lovely atmosphere and not to forget the perfect food.
Great food, great service, very nice live music. The coctails were also very good. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to our friends!
Had the tasting menu and the food was good, portions weren’t great, we were a group of three and the dishes seemed to be for two people instead.
Mocktails were lovely, interior decorations was pretty
The food here is DELICIOUS! This wasn’t our first visit and it will not be our last! :) always order the squid it’s our favourite :) thanks for another lovely dinner
Fantastic lunch at Cocochan. We went for the tasting menu, which was incredible value for money. It was a slow day and service was perfect. Recommended.
Service was borderline rude
Food kind of ok but indifferent
Would not go back
Good sushi. Good selection of cocktails. Last minute booking and hit the spot just perfectly.
Ordered from the tasting menu. Everything was perfect
It was wonderful - we were celebrating our 6th anniversary. Loved the food, service and ambience
Worst service I’ve ever had- 6 dishes came out wrong and the staff were not at all phased by it. Gave us one dish we had not ordered 3 separate times while we were still waiting for our food. Came for a birthday and wish I had chosen somewhere else. Food, when it did arrive, was tasty though.
Early dinner (5pm) with girls. Treated really well. Food good, esp chilli edamames is in a lovely spot.
Fantastic - we had the taster menu and everything was delicious. Highly recommended
First things first, it felt like the waiters and waitresses made a conscious effort to enhance the dining experience without encroaching on personal space. The ambiance was comfortably intimate, with warm atmospheric lighting, perfect for the setting. All three courses were of commendable presentation. The authenticity of the dishes were complimented by great taste and full flavour. It was somewhat austentatious but not obscenely overpriced. Overall it was a very nice experience and the music accompanied said experience rather aptly.
A good array of food on offer in the tasting menu with very generous portions. The music in the background is very subtle.
Alway amazing foot and service! If you get Sash as your server you are in for a treat!
It was our first time here, and we’ll def be back!
Loved everything about this place.
We had the set menu which was really good value, decent portion sizes, amazing flavours and selection of dishes.
Service was very friendly without being intrusive.
Menu has changed and the food has lost its touch from before. Price gone up and just not worth it.
Excellent food, decor, ambience and service. Many thanks to the team working there - you were all superb and ensured we had a great time.
The food is nothing special so I think it was very overpriced.
It's a beautiful restaurant but food is standard. I'm not sure I would go back.
Service is great. Food is really good.
I would recommend sharing the mains.
Great staff, delicious food and good value for money. We had the set lunch and mocktails
Had sushi rolls: not bad but average freshness and very small size, especially for the price. I guess this is not unusual for London, but you would not survive long in New York...
We ordered gyoza and vegetable tempura for starters. The gyoza were good but the tempura was too salty for my taste. The sushi was fresh but it was not particularly tasty. The dessert, chocolate fondant, was quite good. We ordered two but the waiter misunderstood our order and only brought us one, so the second was on the house which was a nice gesture. The ambience is nice and cosy, good for a date, but was not too impressed with the food.
Great service ,superb food
Tables a bit too close together especially when someone on the next table has wind!
I wouldn’t go back. The food was fine but the overall experience wasn’t pleasant. We were sat next to a pungent plug-in air freshener which made it feel like we were eating in the bathroom. Our waiter was over-attentive when we wanted time to look at the menu at our leisure, and then under-attentive when we actually needed attention: forgot 2 of the things we ordered, kept the wine away from our table and didn’t notice when it needed topping up etc. Food was tasty but not great value for money, and the tasting menu can only be ordered in multiples of two people which we hadn’t realised when booking (it just said minimum two people).
Nice new place in our neighbourhood! Really enjoyed the steamed dumpling selection (diverse & tasty). Duck buns were also delicious. Would go back.
Amazing Hidden Gem.
We had the tasting menu and cannot fault anything we were served. It all tasted amazing and was well worth the £45! The cocktails were also exceptional!
Sushi was just average, but the rest of the food was great. I will for sure try the tasting menu the next time.
Sushi was fine( chicken skewers had strange taste...
Appalling service with rude staff
Food was awful not to the standard it should be
We were looking for a Japanese restaurant for the first night of our weekend in London. There was no sake so we couldn’t have that nor the cocktail that my husband ordered (supposed to contain sake) however the drinks that we did have we’re good. The food was all over the place. It was good but not great. Had to ask for 2 of our mains and then had to ask for cutlery (chicken breast). BUT THE BIGGEST SURPRISE WAS THE WHITE TUNA WHICH IS AMAZING! The manager realized there was a problem and did his best to save our evening - dessert was on the house and it was truly delicious. So 10 our of 10 for a comeback! TBH wouldn’t go back. We just wanted an authentic Japanese. This would be good for those that prefer fusion.
Some items missed the mark. Miso soup was very bland. The rice was dry and undercooked. Big faux pas for Asian fusion. Seaweed salad and pepper beef were tasty.
Good cousins and plenty of choices
The good stuff:
The food was excellent. Cannot fault the food that came to our table. Surprisingly, my favourite dish was the broccoli side order.
The not-so-good stuff:
The staff are great. BUT...when ordering the food, they wanted us to order the starters and the main, and we specifically mentioned not to serve the mains until we ask for it to be cooked. They ignored it, and delivered the mains straight after the starters. So we had it sent back until we were ready. When we did ask for it, they served the same cooked food in luke-warm condition. We had to send it back and request them to make it all again.
The GREAT stuff:
Even after our complaining, the staff were excellent and expressed their disappointment in how they handled the order. Well Done.
Good pan Asian food with nice fresh sushi. Restaurant lacked a little ambience and we were also seated next to a rather noisy table. Service was fine and food was enjoyable. Would return if in the area.
The food was so tasty. Thank you so much for a great evening
