Our waiter this morning was excellent with a really lovely demeanour ... thank you for excellent service
Delicious food, lovely service great place. Good value !
The food here is delicious.. so good in fact, we walked from East London to enjoy it and the sunshine.
Tasty chicken and excellent sides. If you don't know what you are doing get the kale and also the truffle mash.
The restaurant was quite dirty. Floor unlcean, toilets, stairs etc all felt greasy
We enjoyed the quality of food immensely at Cocotte but felt that the service was very haphazard especially given the 12,5% charge and rather too much attention was being paid to delivery orders than sit down guests. To be fair the delivery orders far outnumbered anything. The ambience was pleasant and everything was very well
Service is slow and the brioche bap on the chicken burger was burnt. The advertised weekend brunch menu also no longer exists however is still on the website.
Lovely chicken. Nice side salads but quite small portions.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. I had the £11 lunch deal well worth it chicken and the salads were very tasty .
Average at best, a Waitrose rotisserie chicken is probably better Tasting and a fraction of the price.
The one in east London is a lot better. This one felt tired.
The food was very good but it took quite long to be served. Overall good value
It was nice food and atmosphere, but portion sizes of protein was a tad small but the salads were lovely.
The woman manager had us pay the full price when the discount for eat out to help out was available and was told we had to mention we wanted the discount before we ordered our meal and couldn’t do anything about it or even give anything out of good will. Terrible service apart from the woman manager
Homemade ice tea, was simply tea with some ice. It was still warm when I got it, not nice.
Chicken a little dry
Chicken soup was nice
Service a little slow, dedicated time to deliveries more, but staff very charming
Overall a nice lunch but not worth the price
It was much better before. Chicken was more than disappointing today
The food was disappointing. The spicy mayo wings were terrible; a weird overpowering herb taste and the skin had an off putting glutinous texture. Sides of croquette and salad were miniature sized portions. The rotisserie chicken however was enjoyable with the gravy it was served with.
Delicious chicken! And the truffle mayo was super yummy. We booked a table very early so it wasn’t busy at all but started getting busier as we were at the end of our meal. The staff were super helpful and I will 100% come here again. It looks like they do takeaway too.
Excellent food and wine. Brilliant quality simple rotisserie chicken with marvellous sides. Perfect
Waitress take our empty plates and give us the bills directly
If you hear anyone say that chicken is a boring food, take them to Cocotte!
The food here is so good, (I'm a sucker for a plate of Foie gras and truffle croquettes) and it is set in such a pretty area with very cosy decor. Service is quick and friendly without feeling rushed.
Sharing half a chicken between two makes for a perfect Sunday lunch when paired with a couple of sides.
Third time back & will definitely be back again!
The atmosphere at Cocotte was lovely, very relaxing, romantic and pretty. The food (when it arrived) was delicious, but the service was not great. Our food order was not taken after 30 mins of us being there, and then took a further hour to arrive. It arrived after I prompted the head waiter/concierge that we'd not yet received our food. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. We were given a complimentary dish to keep us sweet which was a nice after thought. Again though at the end, I had to ask 3 of their staff members for the bill and they kept forgetting to bring it over. By the time we left we were in a rush for our next plans.
This was the Notting Hill branch, so perhaps not the same in other branches. If I were to go again I would expect to be served in a much speedier manner, and better looked after throughout our meal.
Delicious food, attentive and fast service. Great!
Good dinner, the food is absolutely good. Maybe as last guests on a Sunday the staff wasn't as attentive as I would have expected, probably I will still give it a second chance.
As French people we discovered this place during a walk and it was a very good surprise. The chicken is SO tasty, the service perfect and the sides really good. The atmosphere inside is also very friendly and perfect to have a lunch during the weekend with your family. It remembered us our country. 😃. This is one of the best places for us in West London
But profiteroles were disappointing
Excellent food - especially the rotisserie chicken is worth coming for. The service was friendly and we had a nice Saturday lunch.
Very friendly staff they are lovely and welcoming. Delicious roast chicken and a fantastic choice of salads and side dishes, the truffle macaroni cheese is wonderful ! Nice atmosphere. Great for a relaxed evening out.
The food was great and so was the place and atmosphere. The problem was the service... they kept coming to remove a plate or a glass, or a dish... so annoying and kept interrupting the conversation with my friend. Also, I find it very impolite to remove my plate (even if empty) when my friend is still eating!!!
Lovely meal, friendly waitress, enjoyable atmosphere. Very relaxed and high quality at a great price. Only complaint was not being told at any point that we only had the table for 90 minutes. We were told at 8pm that the table was booked for 8pm and were handed the bill without asking for it. This came moments after we had just been offered coffee and while we still had a reasonable amount of our drinks left. We were told we could finish these at the bar which clearly only had 2 free stools for the 3 of us. There was no notice at any point before or during the meal that we only had 90 minutes. We would likely have stayed longer and had more drinks if we hadn't been rushed out. Disappointing end to an otherwise excellent night but certainly discourages us from returning.
Reliable food and friendly service. A bit slow to take drinks orders but otherwise a very enjoyable meal
Cute restaurant and good food. Had a martini espresso which was quite tasty as well.
delicious truffled mashed potatoes
chicken mega juicy
and a good variety of cokctails
Absolutely amazing. The food is excellent. Beautiful venue and great service. Do want to go back and try the other options on the menu
The pros: good quality chicken; interesting accompaniments; good value.
The cons: appalling service - rude, incompetent (wrong dishes brought, allergies ignored, no water jug at the table so you have to ask every time you want a glass of water, swearing when she couldn't get the card machine to work); bland seasoning and flabby skin on the chicken. We would not return.
Nice ambience and overall experience. Food was very nice. Note to self, no need to have chicken wings AND a whole chicken.
Overall the food and experience was okay, but strikes me as a glammed-up version of Nandos at a higher price point. Service was good but erratic - the chicken arrived way before the salads and our drinks a few minutes more; waiters / waitresses seem to keep changing during the whole meal which probably didn’t help the organisation.
Chicken and sides were good - dessert was a let down. Good value overall.
Always hesitant to dine during the quieter hours as I prefer the buzz of a busy restaurant. However the food did not disappoint! How are you supposed to get excited over just rotisserie chicken? Plan an evening at Cocotte.
The chicken is deliciously marinated in Provençale herbs but it is all about the sauces and salads! Tarragon mustard and the 'cooked to order' morel sauce worked perfectly together for me. The salads work as perfect sides. So much so our fries were left in the end. Great place!
