Cocotte South Kensington
We are a farm-to-table rotisserie offering healthy, delicious homemade dishes using fresh, farm-grown ingredients. We are located in the heart of Notting Hill, Shoreditch and we’re coming soon to Parsons Green.
All our free-range chickens are sourced from Evron, Pays de la Loire, France.
The chickens are marinated for 24h in our secret blend of herbs and spices, then slowly cooked and finished on the spit.
We also offer a fantastic choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Enjoy alongside our beautifully curated French wine list, and a very exciting cocktail list.

Excellent chicken, salads a bit disappointing and 1st course could be more interesting
We were 4 persons. The whole rotisserie chicken was excellent so too was the chicken soup. We were less impressed by the deserts and would like to have seen some classic French deserts on the menu like mousse au chocolat and tarte de pomme. The wine selection was very good too. Very friendly service and pleasant ambience.
Arrived earlier than planned but it was not a problem. Waitress was very welcoming. Ordered Halloumi starter which when arrived was great. The rest of the food unfortunately wasn’t. The mixed root veg was just warm at best, spinach looked dry and again was just warm. We ordered a whole chicken. Being a Chicken restaurant you would expect it to be good. They have a very impressive rotisserie however I could see it was not on and there were a lot of chickens on the rods just sitting there. Rotisserie chicken you expect to be served hot and juicy, everything the chicken presented to us was not. Again it was just warm at best and dried out. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who apologised and took it away. When the sides came back they were hot but no care had been taken to make them look anywhere near presentable just looked bashed around. When they explained the chicken would just be reheated I said that was not acceptable, it would only get more dehydrated and tough and chicken reheated for a third time is not safe. The waitress could not be more accommodating but the method of preparation in the kitchen is certainly something to be reviewed. The manager agreed and removed the chicken from the bill. I also felt that the restaurant was focussing to much on meeting the constant demand of home deliveries clearly being processed over the people in the restaurant. The people on the next table waited for 25 mins between ordering and receiving their starters. Overall a very dissatisfied visit and certainly not up to the standard we have experienced in the Other cocotte restaurants we have been to. Will not be going back
Great food for brunch and lovely service, will definitely be back!
Very good good although chips were too salty for my taste. Chicken and salad were delicious.
Very good ambience and charming, helpful staff.
Will definitely go again although the back of the restaurant was too noisy for our elderly ears! Next time I will ask for a table invthe window.
Great food and ambiance
Outstanding meal, location, atmosphere and wonderful service.
The salads are a good option for those looking for a healthy meal. I added chicken to mine for protein and although the shredded meat on my salad was mainly dark it was tasty. The wine list was varied (you don’t see a lot of Cahors on any menu!), it would have been nice to see some higher end selections to compliment the good meal. as I dined alone, they sat me by the door which was chilly; i had hoped that because I had made a reservation maybe my seating would have been better. I will be back for lunches and definitely will use delivery service in the future!
Not great. three things we tried to order off the menu werent available and what we chose just wasnt very nice.
Lighting was out but they made a special exception so we could dine. I asked for no mushrooms in my salad and the server acknowledged this, but it wasn’t followed through despite his agreeing to it. Dishes were generously sized and tasty, so good value. Probably a lot nicer with the lights on.
Food delicious especially the hot food. Service was not so good - coffees took 15 mins and then when food arrived, no cutlery was provided and when we asked it seemed like an inconvenience. Our chips arrived a lot later too. Good value for amount of food we had
One of my favourite places in london, really good food
In general it was a good experience, however we’re always looking for staff to order and assist. In addition they were out of quite a few drinks we requested.
I would probably go again but nothing too special.
We had a very good night, will definitely come back
Waitstaff a bit slow
Good food, service very poor. Restaurant was barely full but had to ask for a menu, had to remind them to bring out my drink, was never asked if I wanted another drink and had to wait an age for the bill. Service charge automatically added on though!
Very impressed. Five of us were meeting up after a couple years absence. Four meat eaters and one veggie. The meat eaters all reported the chicken was juicy and delicious. The kindly turned the music off for a while as we had two people with hearing difficulties in the party. And they did it with good grace and quickly. Our waiter was excellent handled our queries well and refilled our water jug promptly without being asked. He also adhered to the request to have desert and coffee at the same time. Often this is served separately. We were very happy. Glad we found the restaurant and will go back.
Lovely staff, very professional and knowledgeable :) food was lovely and the environment was relaxing. 💕
Service was excellent and the food was perfect! We were celebrating a birthday and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was cooked and seasoned well.
Very tasty chicken, sauces, halloumi starter and roast potatoes. Wouldn’t order croquettes or roasted veg again. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive and I liked the decor and ambiance
had to chase on the 50% off discount even though I mentioned it earlier
Excellent all round, service slow between courses/clearing plates but otherwise great!
Amazing food and delightful service. 100% recommend!
Lovely ambience for brunch. My friend and I had the chicken and waffles, which was good, but they were really stingy with the chicken and the fried egg on top was one of the smallest I’ve seen. If you’re going to scrimp on the chicken then at least top it with a couple of 2 eggs.
Not sure i’d return, but if I did, I wouldn’t get the chicken and waffles again.
Family meal with a friend from out of town
Great atmosphere and service. Fantastic bloody Mary, went down a treat with the waffle chicken brunch. Couldn't resist ordering the French toast to share, it was delicious.
Good place to come and grab a quick meal (great proximity to South Ken tube and the museums) - we shared a chicken which was fine and ordered a few sides which were hit and miss. All in all, a decent meal option for a family group on the move.
The food was delicious and we went during the 50% off opening week so very good value
Cocktails were a little pricey but overall would go again
