Lovely pint or two with a friend in the beer garden.
Big Stuart is a god. Colly inn legend! I’d definitely say so
We didn't have food but lovely atmosphere & friendly staff.
Brilliant as always it’s such a great place with friendly staff
Absolutely fadabedozy and fatabulosa and .........
We only attended for drinks but the food that others were eating looked very appetising. The staff were friendly and dealt well with the restrictions via distancing and recording information for covid purposes.
Well run local pub.
A pub that has improved immeasurably with new management who are very welcoming and exhibit a real interest in ensuring everyone is happy. Excellent real ales available in perfect condition.
Good atmosphere and a large amount of space inside or outside
Really pleased to have this local gem back in action. Look forwrad to many more Spylaw experiences.
Booked very late due to a lack of food in the hotel we were staying in. Exceptionally warm welcome and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. These are the sort of people that keep the licensed trade alive and kicking in this country!
We only went for a drink. On arrival we were asked if we could go downstairs. It was really cold down there as the patio door was open. This spoilt the evening as it was just too cold. We didn’t complain as they were busy upstairs so there was no other option. Perhaps this could be an option on the booking form. Notwithstanding the staff were very attentive.
Good food and service but loud and no social distancing, so uneasy feeling whilst there.
First time at Colinton inn and won’t be the last . The friendly service was excellent Craig Was so attentive and made us feel so welcome. We ordered meat cheese platter omg amazing so much and so fresh . Great place wish I stayed at this end of town as would make it my local but will defo make the journey to go back . Well done Craig

Can’t recommend this place enough
The staff are so welcoming and cheerful. The Colinton Inn is a very cosy village pub situated in the charming village of Colinton.
Great value and great service. Great experience despite social distancing
Colinton Inn is a delightful pub, full of character and charm. It has been tastefully refurbished and has a fresh, open ambience. We sat on the terrace, which was leafy and surrounded in flowers. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. They made time to chat and to give us great advice about places to visit locally. The other customers were also very friendly, making it a very welcoming and warm experience. The ales and wine were delicious. We made a point of returning, as it was a very lovely to sit and relax with our labrador, in the evening Edinburgh sun.
We didn't order food on this occasion but survey needed a response.
Brilliant pint of Guinness enjoyed in a sunny beer garden
Excellent sunny day. Service was spot on place was so clean and fresh as well!
Just had drinks. Excellent service and guidelines in place. Will def be back
Great pub, very friendly staff, good ambiance. Well kept beer and good selection of gin. Food currently limited to sharing platters; the sharing platter of cold meat and cheese makes a decent lunch for four people.
The owners, Craig and Amy, along with all their staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They have transformed the Colinton Inn and created a wonderfully warm and friendly welcome every time you go. Great to have them back. They deserve every success in the world.
A great asset to Colinton. Great staff and a really good selection well kept of beers and spirits.
What a fantastic bit outside at the back. Everyone friendly as usual

Excellent service and exceptional staff who made our evening very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon.
This is our local and it was so good to be back. Great ambience, cheery and helpful staff and the best ever meat and cheese board. What more could you ask for?
Fantastic village pub. Friendly staff always willing to go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend
Great friendly service, nice atmosphere, will definitely return
I LOVE the beer garden. Its great that Scotland has pubs with outdoor seating .... felt so grown up to finally get out for a G&T in the village ! Thank you Craig & Amy
The cheese platters are lovely and the nachos are delicious. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
Absolutely terrific! I first visited the pub during the half lockdown, where only beer gardens were open due to the COVID-19. It hosts a two tier beer garden and charismatic, friendly bar staff. I can't wait to return now the restrictions are slowly lifting.
The Colinton Inn serves a cold platter of cheeses and cold cuts which is very popular and perfect for a light supper. For my wife and I it is our local and, under current management it has deservedly grown in popularity over the last year or so.
It has a lovely friendly atmosphere with a good range of real ales, gins and malts and is dog friendly.
It is well worth a visit if you want a relaxing time and everyone will make you feel very welcome.
Great afternoon in the Colinton inn beer garden nice setting and great service 2nd time since it reopened highly reccomended
