    Beautiful dining space! Wonderful wait staff. Only issue is the cost per Raw oyster at 5 pounds for just one! Highest price I have seen between the US and Scotland!!!

    The venue itself exudes charm, enhanced by the warm and attentive staff who ensured our visit started on the right note. My party and I began our evening with pre-dinner drinks in the bar, where we indulged in a selection of exquisitely crafted cocktails. Each sip was a testament to the mixologists' skill, setting a high standard for the meal to come. Descending into the basement-level restaurant, we were welcomed by an inviting atmosphere, characterised by a subtle elegance and comfortable seating that made us feel at ease from the moment we sat down. The menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing the best of Scottish produce, which clearly reflects the restaurant’s commitment to quality. However, the portion sizes left something to be desired. We all opted for the scallops as a starter, and while they were expertly prepared, the solitary scallop on each plate felt meagre, particularly given the premium pricing. This left us feeling somewhat shortchanged and craving more as we moved on to the mains. The main courses, fortunately, did not disappoint. Each dish was meticulously prepared and bursting with flavour, a testament to the chef’s prowess. Yet, despite the excellence of the main courses, the desserts, though well-presented, failed to make a lasting impression. They were pleasant but lacked the creativity or indulgence one might hope for to round off an otherwise fine meal. The wine list offered a well-considered selection that perfectly complemented the menu. In summary, while the experience was largely enjoyable with high points in the cocktail and main course offerings, the issue of portion size, particularly with the starters, and the underwhelming desserts slightly marred what could have been an exceptional dining experience.

    Whilst the pre dinner offer was well priced the portions were very small which makes one wonder about the value and finding more food later.
