The waitress was lovely but overall we were disappointed with the service , ordered second round of drinks before the main course , they didn’t arrive til we had finished and the drinks were wrong . The manager had apparently walked out and left the staff stressed and busy . Presented with the bill and expected to pay 10% service charge which we refused to pay . The waitress was accommodating and took some of the bill also . But I will neither eat here again or recommend it
Took over an hour to get any food, it was lovely but not worth such a long wait
The food was alright. Expensive for what it is really - small portions of meat, over generous with rice. Small starters and desserts. It was a bit bland and boring. The food came quickly enough but the table service was slow, we were there 2.5 hours! I had to get up and chase the waitress across the restaurant to ask for the bill. They add the service charge on, so you would have to request it’s removed if you don’t agree with it. The restaurant is decorated nicely though, has a nice atmosphere.
Having visited here before and enjoyed everything about it, on our return to Leeds we decided to book again, very disappointed with the overall visit , there appeared to be some problems between the staff and this was noticeable, the food wasn't as good as previous.
We will Visit again but not the Leeds restaurant.
What a pleasant surprise. We popped in on a Monday evening for a quick pre-cinema bite but were blown away with flavours. We made sure the 'quick' meal took in 3 courses and would recommend anyone who hasn't tried it to go in an sample the delightful fayre.
We will definitely return, hopefully to spend more time eating more food next time.
Hard to find hidden in shopping centre. Staff are helpful when I call in a panic.
They are desperate to explain the menu, but naming the similarly hued mezze purées is helpful. Falafel crisp and light and fresh. Really big portion of tasty creamy floppy things that taste good for me and make up for the dearth of veg in my diet so far today.
Lemonade expensive but welcome.
Amazing service and great food. We came for brunch, however the breakfast menu had finished. The lovely staff member kindly asked the chef if he/she was able to make us dishes from the breakfast menu.
loved the food and would highly recommend the feast menu.
Lovely meal.Staff were well informed and attentive
The food here is really delicious and healthy. Great that they also have a vegan option for friends. If you enjoy tasty, healthy for, this is a really inclusive place where everyone can find something on the menu. Service was great, really friendly and welcoming!
Very enjoyable meal, friendly and attentive staff - would recommend
fabulous food. The falafel are great. Home made hummous is yum. Reconmend aubergine tagine
One of my favourite places to eat - no such thing as too much babagaboush
The food quality was ok, but service was slow
Always excellent fresh Lebanese food, could not recommend more highly.
As a regular diner I find Comptoir is a great place to eat. The menu is great especially for those looking gor something a little different.
The staff were attentive without being annoying and well informed abot both the food and the pronunciation!
My only gripes would be that it can be a bit draughty amd the music from the cinema bar above often masks the restaurant music. Otherwise all round thumbs up
The restaurant is light and airy and tables are well spaced out. Interesting menu and not too many choices.
Food is authentic and always delicious - plus very reasonable. We are all vegetarian and there is a wide range available for us - nice fresh juices and great mint tea and desserts also...
Was really looking forward to visiting as love Lebanese food. However was slightly disappointed. We booked a table online and when we arrived there was no one there to meet/greet us so we just stood awkwardly. When a waitress walked past us (ignoring us!) I had to get her attention and ask if we should just sit anywhere...she seemed very uninterested, so we just chose a random table to sit at.
Foodwise, not the best experience either - I ordered the halloumi wrap but was given the chicken wrap - thankfully I'm not a vegetarian! In all fairness they did offer to take it off the bill without me having to ask, which was appreciated.
When I eventually got the food I asked for, it was really tasty albeit a bit on the bland side in terms of spice and flavouring.
I'm not sure it was good enough to revisit, unless we need to eat quickly before the cinema!
I think the staff could do with a little training in pronunciation. I also was very surprised that there was no Turkish/Arabic coffee in a Lebanese restaurant. However the food was excellent.
Great tasty food, generous portions, polite service.
Service was great - waitress very friendly and helpful. Lots of choice on the menu and good quality food.
Great food, super tasty and good portion sizes. The Meze feast platter was brilliant!
Really interesting food
Good food, varied menu, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Chef enthusiastic about his food and came out to talk to us about preserving lemons! Will be back.
Amazing fresh food in a trendy setting with great ambience.
Best Lebanese food I've ever eaten.
Great food and service, well worth the trip. The price was reasonable and my wife loved checking out the bags/teapots/ect that were available to buy.
I came here on a Tuesday at around 17:00, with my mum, and it was lovely and quiet. It started getting busier at about 18:00. We were the only people to reserve a table that evening, I think, so we were given the best table in the house, which was a nice kindness. The staff were very polite and approachable, and the service was very quick. The waitress checked in on us multiple times, and was very patient with us, because we took forever to order! I had the homemade hummous, which was delicious! I would love to order that again. Their homemade lemonades are unusual and tasty, too. I ordered a falafel wrap to go, aswell as my main order, and the waitress was nice enough to keep it in the kitchen for me until I was ready for it (I didn't even ask her to - She just did it!). The food was quick to arrive, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Their is a single unisex toilet, which is handy. I think this restaurant is unique in that there are also gifts lined along the walls, and shelves, for you to buy. I bought some plates, sweets, and a heat mat with the restaurant's custom design on it, and the delightful young man working on the front of the counter was nice enough to wrap them for me in tissue paper and put them in paper gift bags (which meant I could recycle them - result!).
For anyone wanting to know how you find this place, it is hidden on the upper floor of a shopping centre. There's a DKNY and Superdry store on your way in, through one of the entrances.
We visited on a Monday evening to celebrate my husbands birthday. We really liked the decor and feel of the place, however, the serving staff were perhaps a little over attentive. We asked for a few more minutes to study the menu and our server was back in less than a minute asking for the third time in as many minutes if we were ready to order. The food was absolutely delicious though.
Food good choice and good value. Look forward to going again
Fantastic atmosphere, unique decor, amazing and creative food. Service was good if not outstanding, but we were very pleased with our Valentines Day meal. Some of the flavour combinations are superb; they do Lebanese quisine beautifully. DO NOT MISS THE BAKLAVA! You will leave with your stomach full and your wallet far from empty! Really can't recommend the place highly enough.
not impressed by the food, did not have the tastes that I was expecting in a Lebanese cuisine that I have experienced previously
Food good but service slow. Booked as a pre cinema meal at Trinity Leeds on a Sunday lunchtime. Good job we gave ourselves of time as it worked out well in the end. May think twice about going back again but won't rule it out. Just need to pick the right time.
Food is good along with a nice friendly service. We were a party of 6 inc a 2 and 5 year old. First time there and we will be back.
I loved my first visit to this restaurant, unfortunately there were stones in the salad and I chipped my tooth! This is unfortunate
Lovely delicious food , the portion sizes were very generous . The mezze platter is great value for money and would be a good lunchtime sharing snack on it's own. The decor is interesting and the restaurant has a nice feel . Would definately recommend and will be going back . The service was a bit slow but could see all staff we're doing their best on a very busy lunch service. We didn't mind too much as we underestimated portion sizes and appreciated the gap between courses .
It was a last minute booking as there had been a misunderstanding with another restaurant but we were thoroughly impressed with the food, service and the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and we were helped in picking our dishes. Lovely evening from start to finish. We will be going back and will recommend to our friends & family.
Very good meal. Four of us shared a huge mezze starter for two and a yummy cheese bread thing. 4 large mains, a couple of drinks each and some shared dessert. Very fresh, tasty and filling, good service, relaxed atmosphere. About £25 a head. Pretty good value. Will visit again for sure.
The food was amazing only thing that let it down was service was a bit slow. However it was a ladies lunch so we weren’t in a huge hurry
Never gave me chance to look at the bill, server was straight over with card machine after asking me cash or card! Be nice to look at my bill first to decide this, otherwise everything else was perfect!
