Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Reston
You can never go wrong going to Coppers Hawk. Arrive early and enjoy a taste of a wine that you have not tried before. Going there is treating yourself well”!
Great place for after work or friends. Food is very good. Service was quite slow. We had a table of six 3 of whom were elderly so it was very difficult for conversation due to the noise level.
Absolultely...great food (had a burger this time and it was fantastic) and a fun wine tasting experience.
We were disappointed to have to wait 45 minutes past our reserved time to be seated, but, frankly, doing the wine tasting while waiting is a fun way to pass the time. Our group shared a variety of appetizers, a bottle of wine, and a dessert and it turned out being so reasonable in terms of cost. One of my favorite places in Reston.
Have been wine club members for years - this time the service was fantastic - Jordan was the best server that we have ever had - he was very professional, welcoming and fun. He made the experience great! Love the Life Balance menu.
Our first time at a Cooper’s Hawk restaurant. The restaurant and bar were packed on a Tuesday night! Mostly a professional working group crowd. Service was excellent! The wine was excellent. The food was good.
Noise level is deafening can’t hear the person next to you.
Food good, service erratic and slow to get the drink order, had to go find the waiter, nice but not on top of things.
Great food, friendly staff and wine make for a great afternoon!
Great customer. No wait time for a table. The waiter was outstanding.
We love Cooper’s Hawk, but the impeccable service that initially attracted us, is really starting to fall off. From distracted and inexperienced wine tasting staff to forgetful severs, the overall service is declining.
Went for an early dinner, with reservations. Really surprised at how crowded it was for 5:00 pm on a Saturday. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer was as good as I have had anywhere. The wine seemed fairly priced. For entrees we had the Barramundi (similar if not identical to Sea Bass) and the vegetarian risotto. Our Barramundi was cooked perfectly; the Lemongrass sauce was a perfect complement. It was served with a mildly flavored ginger rice, which was fine, but ordinary. The vegetarian risotto was a big hit. We were early so we sat at the bar. Liked the bartender so much, we ate dinner there! Going back on Wednesday.
The food was very good. However, the appetizer we ordered was not what we were accustomed too. According to the wait staff, the Shrimp Wrap menu had changed. Would be nice to have it come back to the original item. Also, the chicken dinner ordered did not come with the vegetable that was to come with the meal.
Other than that, the food was delicious.
As always a great meal. Hostess was excellent, spending a few extra seconds at the table to review details.
First time there; aside for having to wait about 10 past our reservation time, EVERYTHING was excellent! Looking forward to returning to try out their tastings & social events.
Great wine, and great food. A good place for business and pleasure, I would highly recommend it.
I've never had a bad meal here! Food Amazing, great wine and service is lovely!
We had a great experience..We enjoyed our Valentines Day..
Always good times at Coopers Hawk!@
We expected the place to be packed for Valentine’s Day (and it was). However, they seated us quickly, our food came quickly and was delicious, and we could hold a lovely conversation throughout our meal.
Food is always delicious! Customer service was excellent. Our waiter had some good recommendations. He recommended an appetizer we had never had. It was delicious!!
My wife and I went to the Cooper’s Hawk location in Reston on 02/13/2020 (we were about 10 minutes late to our reservation), they were accommodating and sat us almost immediately.
We sat down and talked amongst ourselves, for 27 minutes before we were greeted by Shanice who asked “if someone had come by yet” we let her know that no one had. She apologized and immediately took our order for appetizers, tasters for the wine and our dinner. She must have communicated our wait time to the manager who came over and apologized to us for the experience so far.
The wait time was long but we didn’t notice it, and Shanice was absolutely amazing - we weren’t having a bad experience by any means - wait times happen, and the person that was assigned to our section had called in sick.
We both chose the brussel sprout appetizer (fantastic if you’ve never had it - it’s a must) and their salmon dish - again, amazing. Shanice also explained about their wine program/ club to which we joined later that evening.
In closing Shanice took an experience that was on the decline and turned it around completely with her pleasantness, attitude and personality - she single handedly turned out night into one that we will always remember!
In closing if you are going to the Reston Cooper’s Hawk dining location, request Shanice - an outstanding addition to their team!
It was a big group double Birthday lunch. We had a great lunch, and a fun time. Our waiter managed all our demands, with grace. He was awesome!
Met my sister for lunch and our food was fantastic. Dana's chicken, the wedge salad and steak flatbread appetizer was super yummy. Cooper's Hawk food never disappoints. Looking forward to my next visit. :)
They always have the wait staff spread thin, so service is average. The last 2 times we were there our salads arrived then our meal arrived within 5 minutes. So we had to put our main meal to the side while we finished our salads. We thought it was a one time issue but then it happened the next time we ate there as well. Wine is still a good value though.
great place, good food and wine, its always crowded so they must be doing something right
The food as always was quite good, but my portion of salmon was very small, and was not cooked to order; the waiter really couldn’t be bothered, no personality at all. Hopefully he was just having a bad day! But nice atmosphere, and the food is very good!
We are at Cooper's Hawk every week and it's usually a great experience. However, not the case this week, unfortunately, we took our best friends for dinner and it was very disappointing. Poor service, smallest piece of fish I've ever seen, had to ask hostess to locate our waiter, and the table next to us was so loud and obnoxious ( not Cooper's Hawk's fault) that we had to shout to hear our own conversation. Maybe we'll take a break from CH for a while.
Our server was kind, attentive, and did a great job anticipating our needs!
The food was just ok. They got my order partially wrong and the cheese on the flatbread was mostly congealed like it had been sitting.
Atmosphere and food was great. Servers were polite and attentive. Only problem was a second server never came back with water refill as asked.
Food and wine were excellent. Wait staff was very attentive and polite. Will definitely be going back.
Went on a date night with two other couples. We had a tasting and then sat for dinner. We had great servers and food. We will definitely be heading back!
The portions are very large, maybe too large. The wine is reasonably priced and pretty good, particularly for members. The food is always good. All I. All , a good value meal.
Wine was so so. But the food was unbelievable! I saw another couple do the free wine tasting and the order cocktails. That makes sense. We loved it and will definitely return for the food. Unless they open up there wine list we too will probably be having cocktails
The server that served us did a fantastic job. It was the overall getting someone to our table that was the issue. As it was explained to me, they had some confusion about who was serving our table. We had a 4:15 reservation, seated by 4:20. And it took nearly 15 minutes before anyone even said hello or offered us bread or drink. A side note, we enjoy our wine club membership, but this is the second time (in a row) and the table decanter was dripping and splashing. Overall we enjoy CH, but we were really disappointed how this dinner started. The server was great once they got someone to our table.
Love the food. Sometimes the staff isn’t all that nice. A little like they are doing you a favor from being seated to the wait staff to the wine tasting.
