Service was excellent but food was really disappointing. Very average. Prawns had not been cleaned so jus oozed black on the first bite. All of the food arrived at exactly the same time instead of the usual tapas come when it’s ready. We wouldn’t have ordered it all in one go had we known. It meant half of it went cold and went uneaten. Service though was definitely 5 star. Shame the food wasn’t the same.
Great food, seating is not comfortable,
Superb tapas bar in the heart of soho. Interesting combinations of very tasty food well priced served by a superb waiting team.
Adore this place - would go time and time again, food and service were notably fantastic, second visit and will be back soon
Excellent all round! Would go every week if I had the chance - the only sad thing was that they ran out of Croquetas de Jamon before I got to order any!
Amazing food and amazing service, would recommend to everyone.
Great food and delightful friendly service. I am a regular visitor which says it all.
Excellent service and food; good choice for vegans too!
Great to visit at lunch time, service good, food wonderful ...... need to come back in the evening to enjoy the sherry and wines! Thank you.
Love the ambience, relaxed dining and fabulous service. The food was just what we wanted - simple but stunningly well done.
Birthday lunch with my team - food was delicious - octopus and scallops were particular highlights along with the coffee and burnt milk pudding. Staff are great, super friendly and helpful when it comes to menu choices and suggestions. Loved this place, have been before and was delighted to introduce my team to it, who all loved it too - will definitely be back!!
We fly from MIA to SFO and Copita is always our first destinations for a well earned travel day meal before heading on to our Cali vacation. Wonderful salsa verde, habanero salsa, guacamole, margaritas with one giant ice cube and veggie tacos (my favorite and never the same because they must use seasonal local fresh veggies).
Went to Copita after a shopping trip on Saturday, we were in there early about half 4 which was nice as it was quiet and we were able to chill and order drinks. On the whole we had a great time. The food was mainly nice, the mushroom croqs were yummy as was the special of the pork, the king prawns were not great, they were gritty which was a bit odd.. the service got worse as they got busier but it didnt affect our night. Dont order the fizzy water expecting it to be like usual - it tasted like andrews lol.. the cava was soooo good. The toilets were small but very clean - overall a great place.. brilliant atmosphere the Gins were amazing and the staff very nice and friendly.. the food could be improved as could the service, not in the way they served (they were very friendly and quite funny) but they def need another body in there when it gets busy.. i expect they would sell more food/drinks if they had another staff member. Loved it though and would def recommend!
Lovely interior and staff good but we found the tapas over sweet generally with too much honey, sugar or other sweeteners used throughout. Maybe we ordered badly?
Copita always has a fresh menu offering great dishes with a decent glass of wine or two. Its relaxed, informal and not at all pretentious. I love it.
It was quite good food and very good vibe. Tasty! I've really enjoyed everything. Good combination of flavours. I'll definitely come back there!
booked for my friends leaving do, first time ive been here and it was amazing. friendly and welcoming staff and the food was delicious. will definately be coming to the place again. well done!!
I absolutely loved this place. It transported me back to my beloved times in Spain, specifically Barcelona and San Sebastian. The G&T's, the wine list, the food, the iberico, the ambiance and the peeps are all FAB! Can't wait to go back xx
SUNDAY BRUNCH WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. LOVELY VIEW. GOOD FOOD.
HOWEVER, WHEN A GROUP WAS SEATED PRACTICALLY ON TOP OF US WE FELT
THAT OUR "SPACE" HAD BEEN INVADED. SINCE THE DINING ROOM HAD MANY EMPTY
TABLES WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY A GROUP WAS SEATED SO CLOSE TO OUR
Nice relaxed environment, food a little expensive but very tasty.
We booked a group of 6 and ended up being in a line against a wall. We complained as we wouldn't have booked had we known, after about 40 minutes they did managed to get us onto a table. Great food let down by haphazard service.
Very ordinary choice of tapas in Copita, and uncomfortable seating arrangement. There are so many choices for tapas in London, and this definitely does not stand out in any way.
Copita was not what I expected. Have to say I didn't enjoy my food. Also the service wasn't great. They completely forgot something I'd ordered. Not a place for everyone, but if you like a touch of an authentic tapas bar, then this is the place for you
Had a friend in from out of town and as fortune would have it, the English weather got the better of our well laid plans so what better to do than a long leisurely lunch with the odd carafe or three. The food was delicious - not the biggest of portions to be fair, but what was there was gorgeous. Particular favourites were the mushroom croquettes, the goats cheese with truffle honey (huge portion award for that one) and the venison with celeriac. The vibe was super chilled and perfect to just have a long gossip. All the chairs are stools though so not the most comfortable but def not bad enough to get us to leave! The waitress was nice though not brilliantly attentive considering how quiet it was but not bad enough for it to be a problem.
It was good but very expensive for tapas. We paid the same as we've pay in other places for a complete dinner including a bottle of wine.
This place has lots of character and is great if you don't mind sitting on stools at bar tables. I don't when I am dining alone and I had a great seat looking out of the window so I could watch the Soho world walk past as I worked through three wonderful plates of tapas and two terrific glasses of wine.
We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were really friendly and looked after us. The food was delicious.
Had a fantastic lunch recently at Copita. The staff were very friendly and happy to explain any dishes. The portions were pretty big too and each and everyone one was delicious. Goats curd with honey and almonds, octopus, beef onglet. Can't wait to go back.
Very impressed, not just the usual tapas bar.
Very genuine food with many different to the usual dishes available.
Recommended wine was also excellent.
(I won't recommend it too much or it will be full next time I want to visit)
Outstanding Spanish tapas restaurant hidden away in D'Arblay Street Soho. The food is beautifully cooked, friendly staff and the real bonus is an extensive [irresistible] range of gins.
We enjoyed a few great tapas here, in a friendly and relaxed setting. Will hopefully return
The staff at Copita were so friendly and helpful, it just added to the amazing food that was served. From the wine recommendation to the coffee - it was simply excellent ... and exceptional value - well done
We visisted Copita in the late afternoon and they were still able to accommodate us. The food was simply delightful. Smallish portions for the price but packed full of flavour. Good quality, fresh ingredients.
The wine menu is always excellent and what I like is that you can have any bottle, even the more expensive ones, by the glass.
The services was slow. For some reason, the waitress had to run back to the bar each time instead of collecting our plates or serving us. Copita was not very busy as it was circa 3.30pm but she still struggled.
Anyway, friendly sservice.
Will definitelty return
I had a late afternoon meet up with my business partner. We dropped in at about 3PM as the kitchen shuts at 4PM; it was perfect timing really because on beat the afternoon rush. I have previously dinned at the owners other restaurant called Barrica, which is definitely also worth checking out. We were not particularly hungry but the food was absolutely divine. Especially the goats cheese smothered with honey and topped with toasted almonds. I liked the simple menu and the fact that you could order wine by the carafe. The staff were friendly, although not that attentive. Overall, a very good experience.
Good food and friendly service. Interesting tapas. There on a weekday lunchtime and place was quiet but not without amsosphere. Would happily return
The octopus is amazing, the gin list is stunning. I've recommended this place to anyone who will listen.
We had brunch here on Saturday. Had fab mushroom croquets , goats cheese with sweet pepper sauce, pork and prawns very tasty and different to other standard tapas dishes. Great venue great staff would return on another occasion.
Very good - attentive service, great food, great atmosphere!
It seems like eevry third restaurant in London is a Tapas bar of sorts. This ne is worth the trip.
Their Ajo Blanco (very similar to tahini) is sublime, the aubergine dishes a close second, but second nonetheless.
I enjoyed the fried clam, my companion did not...
The menu changes frequently here (don't worry the Ajo seems a fixture) so come in with a pal or two and order a bunch of things.
One last thing, the fruit juices are good - but small, and a little expensive. Then again drinks are never good value in a London restaurant.
Copita has a great relaxed atmosphere with an exciting menu to match. Food was all excellent. Must try!
