At Copperwood Tavern, we aim to give our customers an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. We chose to be a Farm-to-Table restaurant because it represents the freshest product available.

We take pride in offering the freshest quality dishes by serving locally sourced meats, seafood, and produce. We are supporting the local farmers and economy and it's our passion to teach people how much better fresh and natural food can be.

Copperwood Tavern offers 20 draft beers, 30 small-batch whiskeys, and a superb wine selection. Our 30-foot craft bar is also stocked with southern Virginia's white whiskey. Yes, we mean moonshine!

Since a woodsy retreat wouldn't be complete without a loyal hunting companion, we encourage you to bring Fido along. Copperwood Tavern features a dog-friendly patio with custom copper dog bowls.

We loved the idea of locally sourced ingredients and the menu looked great, but execution was poor. It looked like a home cook’s attempt at restaurant dishes. Service was great and the cocktails were creative and delicious, but the place was empty on a Friday night for good reason.

We got a last-minute reservation for 2 on what should have been a very busy Saturday night due to the beautiful weather. It's possibly because of the location on the quiet end of One Loudoun, but also possibly because of the food. Our server was very good and attentive and even asked for my honest opinion on the soup I didn't finish. Truth is, we really wanted to love this place but agreed at the end of the meal that we probably won't go back. The cucumber soup had nice flavor but was very lumpy and unappealing. The pork chops were ordered medium and came out well-done. The peach chutney lacked flavor and was really mushy. The Brussels sprouts side was good and the highlight of the meal. We sat outside, which was very nice. Perhaps this is a better place to go for drinks. Cost of the meal for 2 with tip was about $100.

Great food and service together with an outside patio make this restaurant special anytime, any day for weekend brunch, lunch, dinner, or drinks at the bar. A neighborhood gem for sure!

First time at this restaurant. We were late for our reservation but it was ok. I like that all food is fresh! This is a farm to table restaurant. Portions were generous & food was great! I will return.

The place was so loud I couldn't hear the person at the other end of my table (for 8). Brunch menu was limited, & nothing for kids. Drink refill service was slow and not coordinated. French toast sticks were horrible, but my companion said eggs Benedict were good. Donut sundae was impressive. Overall, definitely not a place to go with a group if you want to be able to enjoy each others company. If you just want want to drink in a loud tavern with over priced food, this is a good place.

Lunch with friends. Great service and food. Burgers were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Mussels were fantastic and highly recommend the steak and Brussels salad. Ended with the donut Sunday for a friend’s birthday. Great experience and looking forward to returning.

Service was average. The noise level is off the charts, they need to put some noise reduction buffers in that place. Food was good.

The food was good. I ordered salmon, it waa cooked perfectly as requested. I guess I am not used to being served only a protein in a restaurant. There was a tablespoon of corn relish on the side. So if you like to have a complete meal, you have to order a side separately.

We really like the location, we wanted something different since we are not from the area, we drove form Alexandria. Service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately the menu is not great and the taste of the food is just ok. We will be back just for drinks...beer was good.

The food was pretty good (not the eggs they were subpar); however, the service was not good. We made a reservation and had to wait 20-25 minutes to be sat due to them running behind even though we were told they were only running 15 minutes behind. It took awhile for a server to finally come to the table. Our drinks were forgotten, we received no free popcorn until after we started eating our meal, when we got our food we could not eat it because we had no silverware, and our daughter's meal wasn't put in so we had to wait additional time for that to come to the table. It appeared that they were understaffed and overbooked. A dining experience that should have been 1.25- maybe 1.5 hours was 2 hours and 10 minutes long.

despite arriving 15 minutes early for our reservation, our table was not ready until 50 minutes later. there was table turnover and lots of tables awaiting clearing/set up, but the front and wait staff was inept, keeping reservation-holders and walk-ins crowded in the entrance.

if the front of the house is this poorly managed, can only imagine the back (kitchen) is as well. cannot comment on food quality, because we left after waiting 30 min. and being told it would take at least another 15-20 min. before we could be seated. when we received a text message that our table was finally ready, we were already happily seated at another restaurant.

Abby, Ceicil and the husband wife duo are great. Upbeat friendly service. However, the hostess could learn a little from them.

The food was excellent, but it wasn’t very hot. It seemed like it sat in the back for a few minutes before our server brought it to us. The waiter also forgot to put in the Bloody Mary I ordered, so I never got it. That being said, we really enjoyed our meals and all of the extra perks for Father’s Day!

We made reservations for Fathers Day. At the time we arrived with reservations we still had to wait approximately 15 minutes to be seated. The hostesses seamed confused on the seating arrangement. We were finally seated and it took another 10-15 minutes before a waitress stopped by our table. Then one finally did and just said I’ll be with you shortly. Another 5 minutes passed before she came back. Meanwhile there was another table who was right beside us who had been waiting even longer than we had. Once we were able to order things started flowing. The food was really delicious and we were overall happy with that. At the time we came in the place did not seem overwhelming busy. Was not impressed with the service and wait time.

Though the food was good, it is extremely overpriced. For 3 alcoholic drinks, 3 entrees, and 2 sides, it cost $180. Luckily, I've only been here for Father's day, not of my choosing.

The manager greeted us at check in. He was very polite. Once our server Chris came, the service was all down hill from there. No one got refills on drinks. My daughter asked for no ice and got it, but no one else that wanted it could get some. He went through the motions of asking if everything was okay, but walked by so quickly there was a breeze. Definitely didn't care of what the response might have been. I had to ask for the bill. It came, but then another employee had to take it so we could pay and leave. No empty plates were cleared and not until I had the check was anyone asked if they wanted desert. As we left, we found where Chris had gone. He was out front looking at pictures on a phone with some girl. I have to say that the food was very good and is what saved this review from being a one star.

We have heard great things about this establishment. Upon arrival it was quiet for a Saturday night, we were seated right away. The wait staff was impatient, and unclean. His shirt had stains and he seemed in a hurry to get away from the table each time he came by. Our food came out meat came out cold, and the sides soggy and unappealing. Being that it was such a slow evening I would have expected more attention to be paid, and the food to come out hot. The wine selection was very nice, other than that I do not recommend.

My family decided to give Copperwood Tavern a shot being that it was one of the few restaurants that we haven't tried at One Loudoun. The ambiance was very laid back and relaxing overall and there were many open tables, which seemed to be normal for a 5:30pm reservation on a Saturday. Our server seemed nice but immediately I could tell that he was discombobulated and either new to the restaurant or uncertain of how to handle a table of (8)?? Cocktails came out a bit slow and I did my best to simplify the orders all at once, but he was anxious to quickly leave and head to the computer to place a partial order. This happened multiple times. Once the food arrived we noticed a hair in the brussel sprouts, which isn't a huge deal...it happens from time to time. The issue I had, when bringing this to the attention of the manager, is her defending the restaurant by stating that there's nobody in the kitchen with long blonde hair. Implying that we placed the hair in our food or perhaps it magically appeared...umm, no I'm not a cheap skate whom plots against restaurants by tossing hair in my food. Secondly, the server also never brought out my Dad's soup when he ordered the soup & salad combo from the menu. When mentioning this to the manager she inquired about what soup he had ordered and at that point we were mostly through with our meal and my Dad didn't want the soup any longer. Her response was to re-introduce herself and another manager and state "Please let us know if you need anything further." She clearly had no intention of "helping" us any further nor offering to remove the soup from the check. Lastly, we ordered mussels from the menu as an appetizer and they were also never brought out to our table. I am a very patient person and don't ask for a lot as I also spent 5 years as a server and understand the difficulty of the job. However, when all of these things occur during the same visit I am inclined to believe that there is more to the problem.

Entire evening was fantastic! From the cocktail, mussels, venison, Brussel sprouts and mac & cheese... I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend.

The food was just OK. The short rib app was very good. I had the halibut entree and it was seriously overcooked. Dry as a bone. My date had the pork chop which looked amazing when brought to the table but also very overcooked. The service was good, though.

Went for brunch. Service was great, good location and pretty restaurant. I got the avacado toast and was really underwhelmed, not much to the plate and the sunny side up egg still had the “snotty” white which I just picked out. Said it had cheese and i didn’t see anything, nor did i taste any. My friends shrimp and grits were delicious though, they even cut the tails off which she appreciated!

Came with my family for my birthday and everything was phenomenal! Our waitress was honestly the best server I've ever had and even my mom thought so who doesn't even speak English. All the food was outstanding, a little pricey but worth! Would definitely come again.

We had really great service by our waiter but the food was just okay. We had a reservation for 630 but didn’t get seated until 650. I’m not sure why we made a reservation if the table wasn’t ready. 😬 The people in my party got the Filet Mignon, unfortunately it was really fatty. I don’t think I’ve ever had fatty Filet before. That was disappointing. A little over priced for the ambiance setting. All side dishes were ala carte. We got the Mac n Cheese and it was kind of bland. It’s probably not a do over.

After looking at the menu prices, we decided not to dine at Copperwood. It would have cost minimum of $60 pp and we didn't feel that it would be in our best interest. For pricing this high we would have gone to Eddie Merlot's at 1 Loudoun.
Instead we had dinner at MatchBox which worked out well--food, service, ambiance and was very reasonable.

Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. I’ll start by saying it was Mother’s Day, I expected it to be busy and to wait longer than normal. It took over an hour for our food to arrive after we ordered, and then half of it was wrong and they had to wait another 10 mins for them to rush the correct order. Our server seemed inexperienced and flustered. The manager did come over to apologize to us and comp’d part of our meal, but it didn’t make up for the disaster of a meal that was had. I’m a big fan of Copperwood but it’s going to be awhile before I head back there again.

I always love Copperwood Tavern's drinks and popcorn. I enjoy their brunch food the most - especially the bagel and lox. I do have to say that the biscuits we ordered for our daughter were absolutely awful - like hockey pucks with way too much salt. But, everything else was great.
