Coppi's Organic Restaurant
Steak Lasagna and the Papardelle were both prepared very well. Nice bottle of Barbera was a great deal for $30.
OMG what a fine. We’re visiting DC and sometimes it’s hard to find a place that has Vegan options and they didn’t disappoint. Haley our server was great. She recommended dishes that were amazing. The Vegan Natulla Calzone is worth a try. Thank you Haley for such awesome service. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.
We ordered family style for the 4 of us and were delighted with great dishes. The grilled apples and greens salad was excellent. The spinach gnocchi with italian spicy sausage was super tasty. The grilled peaches for desert were to die for. The service was good. The place gets a bit too noisy and they should consider turning off the music which no one can hear and it just adds to the overall noise level as well as putting some sound baffle on the ceiling. We will return to this good restaurant.
The service and food were both great! They have wonderful options for vegetarians, vegans, and meat-eaters alike :)
Nice neighborhood restaurant with comfortably spaced booth and angled 4-tops. Busy bar. Tried their pizza this time - a bit pricey but very tasty, soft medium thickness crust, like it that toppings and cheese not liquidy and messy. Enthusiastic and cheerful waitstaff. One of our favorites within walking distance!
The food was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. They have lots of vegan options which is a great bonus.
I’m a vegan. the Vegan chard was spectacular. We had two of their vegan pizzas and they were the best vegan pizzas I’ve had. The cheese was a plus and not just something to endure. I’ll go again happily.
Fantastic food with GREAT vegan options! I had the vegan buccatini and the vegan nutella calzone and they were delicious!
Service was terrible, food was poor, drinks were subpar wish we had never gone...
Delicious dinner and great service!
Very nice and accommodating staff! Very good food and nice ambiance.
Coppi's quality has deteriorated significantly in the last year or so. Our most recent experience makes it unlikely we will return: incredibly slow service (40 minutes to receive our meal) and food that has lost the flavor and enjoyability it once had. Undercooked pizza, for example.
Love this restaurant! Interesting menu, good food, good wine and local ambience...a keeper!
friendly staff, good portions (not too much, but we still felt full), interesting and tasty vegan and vegetarian options
Very nice restaurant. Disappointing for the price. Cannot find great pizza in the DMV.
Love that there are specifically labeled vegan items on the menu. I had the mushroom risotto, which was quite good but lacked the creaminess one expects from risotto (a bit reason I was so excited to find a vegan version). I think the addition of some coconut milk might be just what’s needed. Still, it was delicious with a lovely assortment of perfectly cooked and seasoned vegetables. I was glad a vegan dessert option available. I was too full for anything but sorbet, of which there was not a vegan option. Service was excellent, and server was knowledgeable about vegan choices.
The food was good- the veggie options were decent. The issue is that it was so incredibly loud. I could barely hear my companion and he was sitting right next to me, not even across the table. Definitely don’t try to dine during happy hour.
We didn’t eat here. Friday night and it should be hopping. It wasn’t. The service was dreadful from the beginning. The young woman who spoke to me when I entered was sullen—I actually couldn’t figure out whether she worked at the restaurant or was just walking my way. The restaurant was empty and she tried to seat us at the tiniest table. When I asked for a different table, she put me right next to another party.
Our server was slightly more friendly (a pretty low bar) but inattentive and forgetful. While he was greeting me, the sullen hostess walked up to him know he was being sent home. I did not need to hear the discussion about why she was going home (by I did). I asked for sparkling water and a glass of wine while I waited for my husband. I got the water but not the wine. 10 minutes later, he again asked if I wanted something while I waited. My wine? “What was it you wanted again?”
I cannot comment on the food as I paid for the sparkling water (which I hardly consumed) and left.
Life is too short to dine at such a dreary establishment
We loved the relaxed "neighborhood bar" vibe of the restaurant. The food was excellent. My partner loved the unique lasagne and the special rockfish was very good. Definitely worth a visit.
We were there twice in 10 days and it proved wonderful both times. Food is excellent and we could talk without shouting. AND THE VEGAN MENU IS WHAT DREW US IN AND WILL KEEP US COMING BACK.
Coppi's is one of my favorite places to eat. I've never had anything I did not enjoy. The menu is seasonal and interesting. The wines are very well curated and a good value. The happy hour is amazing. It can be a little loud at peak times on weekends but is otherwise fairly quiet spot to have great meal and catch up with friends.
Too much noise - we were window seat, maybe better elsewhere - especially for first date.
Adorable restaurant that offers rare and truly delicious options for gluten free I haven’t seen before. My non-celiac boyfriend also loved everything!
Oftentimes "organic" hides a multitude of sins in the food & beverage world. Coppi's a happy exception.
With an interesting, well-prepared menu, terrific staff, and an excellent beverage selection - including some excellent cocktails - Coppi's is a real standout in the Washington, D.C. restaurant scene.
We LOVE the delicious vegan options at Coppi's and the Monday senior discount was an unexpected bonus. Kitchen was very slow our evening and we were the first table to arrive. Credit card machine malfunctioned and sorting that out took forever.
We were so happy to find a restaurant with a vegan menu. They lived up to our expectations. The vegan food (pizza and an eggplant parmigiana) were wonderful. Our friends ordered meat and were very happy. Coppi proves you can be all things to all people! (We made reservations to go back 1@ days later with other friends.)
Despite living nearby, we had never been to Coppin's before. I enjoyed the menu that featured Italian with a vegan twist but could have used a few more choices among the pastas and other categories. I had the caesar salad which was unremarkable and had too much dressing on it. The zucchini pasta appetizer was just the right size with the salad for my dinner appetite. Service was prompt and since it was a Tuesday night, it wasn't too busy and therefore very quiet. A great environment to talk with and catch up with friends.
We were greeted with “you probably don’t have a reservation”, waited forever to pay
Great evening- good was super fresh and delicipis
We had an amazing time! The service was excellent, and the food was out of this world. Coppi’s is a hidden gem of a restaurant.
The homemade pasta and apple salad were delicious, as was the drink special with Prosecco and pomegranate seeds. The ambiance is great, there was live music that night, but not too loud that we couldn't talk. Hailey (or Haley) was our server, she was fantastic. My friend and I had a great dinner that night. Location is great also, very close to the Metro. They also have a great Vegan menu as well for my family, so I will return.
Great place to spend Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. Being a cycling fan the homage to Fausto Coppi was a nice surprise. There was a jazz band that added to the occasion and our waitress was exceptionally courteous and checked in periodically.
Service seemed to be inconsistent. Some tables received bread, we did not. The food was delicious. I chalk up the service to it being Valentine’s Day. They were quite busy. I will be back!
Appreciate the vegan options that are very tasty
Small but cozy, Coppi's was a great experience. The food is fabulous and the service was primo. They even had live music but it was not overwhelming and could continue to carry on our conversations while they performed. Great place and will return!
The service was impeccable. Finished dishes were cleared right away, water glass was never empty, food was to die for. Typically I don't order Mahi Mahi, however, my date was a pescatarian. I've never had such a tender Mahi. The wine and cremini reduction on the Risotto was outstanding, as was the texture. Cooked perfectly. The cream on the tira misu was simply dessert-gasm. I'd recommend Coppi's to anyone traveling to DC. The live band consisted of a bass player and fiddle player. The bass player came up to me as I walked toward the bathroom and told me how lucky I was to be out with such a fine gentleman (a bit weird). While I was in the bathroom he approached the gentleman I was with to suggest they be on the "down low," which was completely inappropriate. I know this does not reflect well on the otherwise perfect dining experience, but the manager should know.
Took a chance on this restaurant and were very glad we did. One of our party was vegan and loved the food. But the non-vegan and non-vegetarian entrees were also well prepared and delicious. Our waitstaff person was cheerful, friendly and responsive. And the music was excellent. The menu selections are not that extensive but certainly more than adequate.
Daughters 18th and she’s vegan. Was great
Wonderful food and great atmosphere. Also really good vegan and gluten free options. The smoked salmon pasta is unique and fantastic.
The noise level was so loud, we found it difficult to hear our wait person. We were a party of two baby boomers (aged 60) and a 29 yr old, and we all found the noise level to be. The music was beautiful, but would suggest acoustic better than amplified base.
The food was delicious and our wait person was wonderful. But I would hesitate to go back there if I wanted to have a dinner with family/friends with whom talking with while eating was a desire.
