Great service from the pretty waitress, who’s name I forgot. And the GM Adrian, great guy! Made sure everyone in the restaurant was happy. Service top notch! I would recommend it
Amazing Evening the staff were so attentive and accommodating, Thank you to all.
Amazing night great experience, lovely staff highly recomend roof terrace
Food was lovely, staff was friendly and kept the drinks coming. We were seen by the tall blonde lady who was very friendly and polite. Would definitely visit again
A fab dinner. Service was very slow (and one waiter seemed particularly confused at all times!) but we weren’t in a rush so it didn’t bother us too much. The roof terrace is a beautiful setting and the food was delicious. Portions were huge, cocktails tasty and good value (especially considering location!) and ambience lovely!
We were seated on the roof terrace which, despite the miserable weather, was a very warm and comfortable space with blankets, cushions and throws. The food was incredible and the service was great! Very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long at all, for anything! 10/10 would recommend.
Seating was great. Waited 10 mins for first drink. Starter lovely main course took a further 45 mins to come with prompting from us. No dessert didn't have time. No offer of second drink. Waitress never asked how we were ir if we needed anything. Then wanted 12.5% service charge. Awful experience.
Great table on roof top. Lovely chicken and beer👍🍺
Outside terrace for 5pm pre. theatre dinner. Was so festive and cosy
Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Warm outdoor ambience. Great food and perfect setting
Food good. Little on the expensive side for what it was. Would visit again. My only complaint is that it's a little dark inside. Old people prefer bright rooms!
The Sunday roast is great value. Love the stuffing and the unlimited gravy!
Really nice food and really good service, would come here again
Had a great time with my friend here before a theatre show, the theatre package was super well priced and tasty. Did take a bit long to collect the payment and the waiters kept forgetting unfortunately. But overall if you are not in a rush definitely recommend!
The rooftop is decorated beautifully and has such incredible potential. There are blankets, fairy lights and hanging it plants which create a stunning winter atmosphere. Food was really tasty and good value for money the drinks were standard ( what we ordered you could get anywhere) as what we did want to order was all unavailable which is surprising and very poor for an early Saturday night booking. Someone needs to get better at their wet stock ordering ! Service was fair - we could see that they were understaffed however it was just a bit chaotic and had to ask a few times where drinks/desserts and the bill were. I’d also double check your bill as the prices on the menu differentiate to the bill and you’ll be charged more. Was explained that we have the wrong menu with incorrect pricing but this is something that you should be made aware of before ordering rather than at the end when you receive your bill. I feel like we must have come on the off chance that this day wasn’t up to their usual standards because id heard such great things from others so we came off that recommendation. This place has HUGE potential but they’ve missed the mark somewhere along the line.
Sat on the roof. Lovely place, very pretty, blankets provided. Staff and all really friendly and food is great
Lovely evening on the roof terrace and food was perfect! We will be back soon
Great roof terrace and atmosphere on the ground floor, however, the other 2 floors are pretty dull and wouldn't be as good the restaurant is a lot larger than it looks.
The staff was good and nice selection of cocktails, however, the food was nothing special and overpriced for what it is.
I had the raunch chicken burger, it was very bland the dirty fries were very good! my friend had the spice bag it was very greasy and the wings tasteless, the tenders and popcorn chicken had a nice kit.
Wouldn't rush back as many other places with good food and at better value.
Amazing we already booked again
Maria our waitress was fantastic!!!
Booked for the roof terrace but when we arrived they told us it had booked us for outdoor seating at the front of the restaurant - definitely a system issue as this was not what we selected when booking. We were told it'd be a wait for a table as they were busy, got told to make our way up to another level to wait for a table which only took 10 minutes so no issues there. When we were sat down, we were put in a table in the corner which meant we were a little neglected at times. Food was lovely and once we were finished our meal the waitress on the door came to fetch us as there was space on the roof terrace - a very nice touch to be taken up to where we originally booked. Good overall but did feel a little unorganised and chaotic at times through the night.
We were shown to our table late and after booking the roof top was told they didn’t have a table up there. After a while they managed to seat us but we were then told after an hour and twenty minutes they needed the table for someone else. Very disappointing and horrible to feel rushed.
Mixed experience at Coqbull. It was a very busy Saturday brunch service. I had a booking for 12 for my birthday and I arrived first with a couple of friends to make sure the table was set up. The man at the desk was very abrupt and wasn’t very welcoming or instructive. We were just left standing around. The table they had prepared was an 8 seater table, when I reminded them that it was for 12 they said that they could shove a few more chairs on the end and more people can sit in the bench. Having made the booking over a month ago I didn’t think that this was acceptable and not the dining experience I wanted to have with my friends all cramped in on top of each other fighting for space to eat.
We got shown another table upstairs which were two round tables next to other and they said that we could split the party up 6 and 6. Again not what I wanted and had to explain that I had wanted to sit us all together.
Eventually got given a 10 seater table and put two chairs on the end. This was the best he could do. The manager was not to pleased he had moved us around and though he didn’t speak to us about it I could see him having a go at the server.
Many opted for the great value bottomless brunch deal. The Prosecco was slow to arrive and slow to be filled up. Us often having to flag down servers regularly to get service. Quite disruptive to our experience. We did ask if we can have a few bottles left on the table instead but we were told no which seemed odd.
The food though was excellent! Great portion sizes and quality. No complaints from anyone about the food. I had the vegan mushroom burger it was fantastic and the buffalo cauliflower wings which were great but maybe a bit expensive at £9.
We were offered no apology for the service throughout. Would go back but maybe not for brunch unless they had better staff on.
We arrived at 12.00 for bottomless brunch and allocated an hour and a half but didn’t actually get served until half past 12 but were still asked to finish at 1.30 only getting an hour
Me and my friend booked this for a nice festive lunch and it didn't disappoint! The food was amazing and the winter rooftop terrace was stunning. The staff were lovely and very accomodating when we asked if we could move to the rooftop upstairs. The only downside was that the food was quite expensive and there was a non discretionary service charge added to the bill, but we were happy to pay it given how nice the setting was and we had such a good time! Would definitely recommend :)
Bit disappointing I booked the rooftop terrace specifically as it looked nice and christmassy, but arrived to be seated elsewhere inside and asked about it to be told there was a function upstairs. Not sure if they let the function book after and moved all our bookings, or if there was a mistake on the system, but should be fixed.
We waited 30 minutes to be seated while walk ins were seated straight away. We had to ask for a menu after 5/10 minutes of us being seated. We then waited another 20 minutes for our drinks, which we were told they couldn’t make because they didn’t have the ingredients. The food was fine. The service was terrible.
This was a great find right in the heart of central London, the rooftop was perfect for a toasty winter evening. Happy hour and burgers before watching a show made for a lovely night!
Food was nice but to order was really hard to make somebody notice you
We booked a table for 7pm and were still waiting by 7:45 to be seated, there was no organisation
They had overbooked the roof terrace, which was very disappointing for a lot of people. I booked the roof terrace apx 6 weeks before our visit to finish off our day looking at the Christmas lights. We managed to get up there purely because we wouldn’t agree to eat inside and because our booking was quite early in the evening. A lot of very upset people after us!!
Great food but was extremely crowded and difficult to hear the person across the table from me. Would book again however
Really good service with great food! Would def recommend the roof top terrace 👍🏽
Very very poor service, they had overbooked the terrace so we had to wait 40 mins to be seated for our booking. Once at the table we’re pushed out ‘because it looks like we’re finished’ after 40 minutes when we booked a 2 hour time slot on the terrace. But food was very nice!
Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. After we were seated we were moved to accommodate a larger table (we were given a free round of drinks). We weren’t then approached with menus until we specifically requested them (twice). Seemed very disorganised and chaotic which is a shame as everything was great
*Watered down pineapple juice
*Wrong food given
*Super slow service
*Had to ask 3 different people for the bill (still took over 30minutes to get that)
The waitress who placed our order was lovely and took the order correctly only the chef didn't bother to read the ticket correctly....
Have visited twice to this location
First visit food was great hence why I booked work Xmas meal here so this was the second time going is the reason for this review.
Didn't enjoy this time around.
Great restaurant, loved the rooftop seating. Our waitress was superb and the food was amazing!
Service was slow, food was average, interior was nice
The food was good value and was delicious so no complaints there.
The service however was questionable. It was at least 15 minutes before we were asked to order any drinks/food (we actually had to call over a member of staff to ask for our order to be taken). Our drinks took quite a while to arrive and our main meals also arrived whilst we were still eating our starters. This made the table cramped and also made us feel as though we were being rushed through our sitting.
Cocktails were great but a fair few things seemed to be off the menu which was disappointing.
Overall, we did enjoy our time and would happily return but just hope there is an improvement in the quality of service and availability of cocktails.
We had lunch on Sunday. Great atmosphere but large party slowed service for us. The £25 set menu with drink is good value but we'd rather it had been main and desserts as we just weren't hungry after the starter. A handy spot to eat close to Piccadilly Circus.
Booked fine, was told on arrival that we had the table for 90minites, 5:30-7:00pm which was fine, the staff seemed pleasant.
Ordered food and drinks at 5:40pm drinks and starter arrived quite quickly within 10minutes - however, we waited and asked and chased for the main meal which eventually arrived after nearly an hour, chips were hot but burger was tepid.
had to then rush the meal as we were due in the theatre at 7:30pm.
seemed like they had forgotten about out food as they were to busy arranging to clear the rooms for 7pm for a large party, and were generally ignoring us and just wanted us out.
