Every bit as good as I’d hoped. Forgetting the food and drink for second, the overall feel of the restaurant is incredibly relaxed and unpretentious - it’s not often you hear contemporary music in a fine dining restaurant, for example - and we loved that. Staff were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and even small things like being offered tap water give you a relaxed feeling. We hadn’t seen the restaurants old setting, but for all diners to be able to see an immaculate working kitchen was a real treat and we had the pleasure of meeting the chef before our meal. I had the restaurants take on a Bloody Mary, which was amazing and would highly recommend. All the food was spectacular and special mentions to the ‘Potato and Roe’ and the ‘Pear and Verbena’. The warm chocolate tart petit fours was also one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Loved the whole feel of the restaurant. The whole experience was without fault.

Certainly one of the finest restaurants in the world, Core manages to pull off a rare feat; to be so amazingly cutting edge, presenting well thought out, delicious plates, while retaining the friendliest of atmospheres. The staff are excellent. The best I have ever experienced. Friendly, knowledgeable and open. The dining room is warm and friendly, clad in pale creams and greens, it feels very organic, and the new bar is beautiful. The glass window that lets you peer into the inner workings of the kitchen where an international selection of chef’s busy themselves behind the pass ties the whole place together. We were greeted with hellos from each member of staff we met, and the chefs in the kitchen also looked up and greeted us with a wave and a smile. The food they prepare is exquisite. We had the Seasons menu, and it was very autumnal in feel and presentation - mushrooms, truffles, nuts, rich venison. I loved it. And the wine pairing again, was extremely well thought out and suited each course perfectly. I had a feeling I was going to enjoy dining at Core, and I was not disappointed. Can’t wait to return already. Amazing.

There are no words to describe fully the sublime experience of eating at this restaurant. The food, the wine, the service, the people, everything is above and beyond expectation, even for a 3 star ! Thank you for making our celebration ultra special.

We went to Celebrate my Birthday and were early. We were given a Warm welcome and lead to the Bar. The ambiance, service and the cocktails were superb. Then we went into the restaurant. The food presentation was excellent and so was the service. We found the staff very friendly and Helpful. Had the tasting menu. We both found the food quite bland and leaning towards sweet. Saying that it was of the best quality. The deserts were Excellent. I was made to feel Very Special 🤩 Well with the experience

We have waited a long time to get a table. However, worth the wait. We all had a fantastic time. Food out of this world and staff super friendly and knowledgeable. Cannot wait until our next visit.

This is my 4th time at Core, and as always the warmth and service of the entire team were flawless - it’s a very hard thing to get the right balance of professional attentiveness and authentic warmth, as well as remembering your favourites and preferences, but the Core team always get this right and set the worldwide benchmark for proper service and friendliness. It’s no wonder the team are world number 3 on the 2024 La Liste Awards - very well deserved. The food, presentation and cadence of the courses were perfect, so beautiful and never rushed, and the quality, flavour and craft are truly representative of their motto “relentless pursuit of excellence.” Their new Seaweed and Whiskey bar is a fabulously elegant addition, and the cocktails are magical as always. Thank you to Chef Clare Smyth and the Core team for the best ever birthday experience. Feeling full of joy!

Sumptuous. From start to finish. I did not want to leave. The atmosphere is lovely, and no weird music. Service is attentive. But really you are here for the food and it was excellent. How much can I rave about the potato dish—a lot! Inventive but not fussy. Whimsical without forgetting what we really care about is the taste. Sauces were spectacular. Seasoning struck a perfect balance. Vegetables were highlighted. And all the details are paid attention to on every level. Food was hot when they should be hot. Plates were warm. Even the room temperature seemed to suit everyone. And they handled a difficult allergy request with ease.

From beginning to end, our experience at CORE was exquisite. We were celebrating my 60th birthday and everything - the ambience, the team of staff and the food and drinks - of course - were excellent. The team were so friendly and welcoming and knowledgable about the food and wine. I honestly can’t praise all at CORE highly enough. Simply put, the perfect dining experience. From service, to ambience, and most importantly the food, chef Smyth and her team executed perfectly and they are well deserving of their three stars. My wife and I traveled from the States for this meal and we will absolutely be returning the next time we visit London.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food choices were very interesting and the flexibility to have a tasting menu or ALC was very much a plus. The wine list is excellent and the advice of the sommelier was on point and entertaining. The front of house staff were all charming and considerate and came across as loving their job.

Another fabulous evening at Core from arrival into the new Whisky and Seaweed bar until leaving and having a chat with Claire on the way out the whole experience was amazing The food has to be top notch for 3 stars, and it is, however the team there really makes it all happen so wonderfully. They are attentive without being intrusive , knowledgeable and intuitive and always have time to chat. And you can't go wrong with the Core-teaser dessert to end with.

We decided on Core in order to celebrate a reunion. The food and service were absolutely outstanding. One of our party had a gluten intolerance and there was no drop in quality at all.

Core is an incredible place for an unforgettable dining experience. The classic menu is impeccable and practically a work of art. The service is extremely attentive and functional, and the atmosphere is beautiful. The price is definitely not the most affordable, but it is understandable given what it has to deliver.

Terribly disappointing. We all had the seven course seasonal menu, at 235 pounds, and three courses were quite poor. In fact, the venison was so tough it was inedible. There is a huge service team, who are very efficient, but very impersonal. Terrible value for money. We would not return.

An extraordinary evening of fine drinking and dining. Imaginative food and excellent wine. Full of intrigue and deliciousness. Off the scale service - young, international, passionate, knowledgeable, attentive without being weird. Perfect adult to adult dialogue with the best human touches that make for a memorable evening.

Having been here a few times I must admit to feeling a little disappointed by the food. We had the Core Seasons menu and for 3* it was just a bit under whelming. I actually hate to say it because the staff were, as always, incredible. Except at one point two of our table of 6 were in the bathroom and they proceeded to serve the course, they poured the sauce for the 4 that were there and then we sat waiting with everything going cold until the two guests returned. Nothing was put under domes and that again was not what I would expect at a 3* venue. Nothing was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard we had previously received and expected this time.

This was my third visit to Core and it did not disappoint .. the warmth of the welcome from the moment you walk through the door is tremendous . The food , wine, service and general ambience combine warmth , elegance and precision . Love it and will be back again !

Amazing experience. The food of course was excellent. I have to say you never realise how good service can be until you experience the service at core. This is the benchmark. The team also have a knack of making you feel very welcome. Our table was right next to the window to the kitchen and I couldn’t believe our luck to have that uninterrupted view.
