Excellent food and service! Cannot wait to go back!
Excellent meal for Sunday dinner. Our server was warm and friendly. Terrific family dinner spot with great food We will be back!
Everything about this place is awesome! Great authentic Italian cuisine.
Luigi the owner is just amazing, treats you like family. Best fettuccine puttanesca and eggplant appetizer. Our favorite little BYOB weekly date spot. Thank you Luigi & staff for making every visit so enjoyable. Prego!
Wonderful dinner, staff was warm and service was excellent!
This is the closest I felt like I was eating in Italy. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food incredible. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. He makes the bread, and his wife makes the gnocchi and salad dressings. The flavors and presentation of the food is amazing. Can’t wait to go again
Service could have been better
Reasonably priced entrées, and a BYOB
Just a little surprised that they have a corkage fee
Lovely neighborhood restaurant with great food and very friendly service. Loved it.
Excellent food and service. A lovely little Italian BYOB in a quiet neighborhood. Large menu with many options and plenty of dessert choices too. The place is small but spread out sufficiently. Would recommend for any occasion.
It was a busy Saturday night and our party of four could barely hear each other, it was uncomfortably loud. That said, the food is fresh, quality ingredients and well prepared to each person's preferences. The portions are always generous. The only negative besides the noise level was the excessive amount of salad dressing on an otherwise delicious salad. Core de Roma is one of our favorite restaurants, but not on a Saturday night.
Excellent food and service! Loved the chicken and veal parmigiana. The antipasto was amazing!
We’ve pretty much become regulars here, and as always food is great . Have No complaints , so good don’t wanna share but we have brung other family with us for the experience , they were very pleased and left satisfied aaa well . lol
Great experience all around. Server was really great. Food was delicious.
Really good Italian food in the Roma tradition. Very nice and attentive staff. Do to staffing shortage we were served by the owner, who made the meal very memorable.
The food was really delicious and the service was great. Great little neighborhood find.
Food not as good as Pescatore
Should NOT have a corkage fee
Should know prices on menu and be consistent on final check
Great little place tucked away in Belmont Hills.....food is excellent and service was great.
Wow. This was some of the best Roman/Italian food I’ve had, including my 6-months in Rome. The restaurant that was there before was excellent. This place is twice as good.
Burrata appetizer was divine as well as the bronzino and the lemoncello cake !
A very pleasant surprise. Our reservation was honored on time. The restaurant was busy for the two hours we were there. We were fortunate to be served by the owner, Luigi, who is personable and charming. The ambiance is pleasant, but unprepossessing. The other servers are friendly and engaged. The food was outstanding. The mussels in red sauce were small, but delicious. The red sauce was thicker than the typical liquidy presentation and full of flavor. The mussels had no sand or grit. First rate. We all had veal chops for dinner. Two came with spaghetti with oil and garlic and one with a red sauce. The veal chops at $35 would have been great at $45. The veal was perfectly cooked to a medium rare. The chops were about 14-16 oz very tender and an excellent portion size. The spaghetti was prepared al dente and both the oil and garlic and red sauce were great. This is a place we will return to again soon. Luigi is charming and invested in the success of the restaurant. We hope he does.
This was one of my favorite dining experiences of all time.
They took an 8 person reservation the night of and completely blew us away with the amazing food and service.
I cannot say enough about this hidden gem.
Felt like I was back in Rome!
This was a great surprise! The food was delicious, and very reasonable.
The service was OK, the wait-staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but it was a full house (just coming off some more restrictions). Despite all, they were happy and helpful.
Will definitely come back, and take my Italian family with me!
Terrific in all respects.
Definitely not going back, food, service, decor and noise level all leave much to be desired
Outstanding evening. Will be back and will highly recommend
Great food- great service! There is even valet parking
What a nice surprise! From the outside you would never guess this was a restaurant. First impression was the valet who was welcoming and friendly….staff inside was great and the food was delicious. The owner came over several times to great us, talk to us, he even cleared plates and helped the staff. Well worth the money for excellent food.
Once again all was perfect , fresh and presented well ! Hubby and I have decided to dine in at least twice a month ;-)
Although the exterior is deceiving, the food was sensational with service to match.
Loved the Artichoke” Core de Roma”, Grilled Calamari ,Pasta Arrabiatta, and Veal chop.
GiGi the owner was an incredible host and made us feel as if we were good friends dining in his home.
The food was delicious and the service was terrific!
Good Italian food, reasonably priced, great service.
Our server was knowledgeable, efficient and so nice. The owner came by to ensure we enjoyed our meal. The food was traditional Italian, comforting and delicious. We will be back!
I wasn't expecting much from the outside, but the inside is nicely done. More importantly, the food and service were amazing! If you are looking for some real, home-cooked, tasty Italian food - this is your place. The fresh-made bread is some of the best I've had in a long while!
A pleasant evening. Food was great!
We had a wonderful dinner. The carrot cake and the tiramisu was amazing!
We had an excellent dinner at Core de Roma. Our waitress was attentive and food was served well. There is not much to say about the decor; it is a big room with several tables of different sizes. One negative note is that the parking lot is in back and is not lighted. Then you have to walk up a hill to enter the building. This can be tricky negotiating in the winter. There is street parking which might be preferable for those with limited mobility.
My hubby and I celebrated our anniversary here , this was our first time visiting. I had a grilled chicken salad to start , and chicken and shrimp primavera hubby had chicken parm and a side of meatballs. Food was tasty and prepared quickly . Thanks again Luigi “gigi” you made us comfortable :-)
What can I say about this place besides absolutely incredible! The food, amazing and so was the staff. The worst part of me meal was being out of food. I can say I will be going back here for years to come!
Very good, authentic roman iIalian food. the owner is very friendly and speaks with diners to make sure that they are enjoying the food. the waitresses are very professional. they bake their own bread and the meatballs are excellent. We enjoyed it very much.
