Fantastic food, not sure if It would suit a large group,as the plates of food are designed to be shared between the table.

We have an absolutely fabulous lunch as part of our mother's 80th birthday celebrations.
Warm greeting on arrival in keeping with the excellent service.
The food was amazing and nothing could be faulted.

It was my birthday and we were running late, they had held our table for us and were so accommodating. The food was out of this world, topped with a happy birthday message on the dessert, it was these little touches that made it amazing.

Absolutely fantastic food and arrive! We went for the tasting menu, and although it’s perhaps slightly more than I’d look to spend on lunch, it was most definitely worth it.

Love love love this restuarant - the best fish I have ever tasted - the oysters and the gurnard were sensational. The gin was great also :)

Fabulous flavours. It's a small sharing plates menu, so you may end up carving a perfect presentation down the middle, which always seems a shame. The taster menu is good, good value and avoids the worst of the small plate fights!

Downside is a very pricey wine menu. I know it's a top end place, and the food is right up there, but the £50 a bottle level pricing is a bit much.

This was our 2nd visit and the food was as excellent as our first visit . We ordered all of the dishes on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Service was also excellent, if you enjoy fish this is a definite restaurant to visit.

Fantastic fish restaurant. The menu consists of sharing plates and we had the chef’s selection which provides highlights of the menu for £48 a head. Every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wine list is somewhat expensive but half bottle carafes are available.

We love cornerstone! We’ve lived in the East End all our lives and it’s very exciting to have a great restaurant in our neighbourhood. Loved the food, pickled oysters, delicious. Mackerel, delicious. Whole John Dory, delicious.
Why no vegetables? And I mean NONE. You can’t count a tiny piece of grated kohlrabi. That isn’t veg. Lots of very nice but stodgy bread, which I love... but I was craving something green by the end of our tasting dishes. We asked our waitress about it and she said ‘yeah, we do sometimes have carrots’. Is that weird? In an expensive restaurant?
Well be going back, but I’ll ask for veg next time.

A lovely open plan restaurant with nice and decor. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was honestly outstanding. We had the Chef's Selection of the day, which was fairly priced, beautifully presented. Despite the portions looking small, this was deceptive and we were pleasantly full by the end of the meal. The flavours of the dishes were excellent and light and the seafood was obviously very fresh. The muscles & clams in the Cafe De Paris sauce were outstanding and the stand out dish for me. I would highly recommend Cornerstone.

Having watched Masterchef, I was very keen to TASTE Tom Brown's food. It was simply outstanding! The flavours of the brill were awesome, I had to eat it very slowly in order to enjoy every bite to the maximum. The potted shrimps and the cod were equally mesmerising. I would so love to know how he creates those wonderful flavours. We had a fantastic bottle of Rosé from the pay d'oc. Desert was a delicious chocolate mousse. The waitress was a lovely young woman, the atmosphere relaxed and very friendly. We also got such a nice farewell from Tom Brown. We will be back. It's easy to get there from Kings Cross, about 20 min. Victoria line to Highbury&Islington, there change into train to Hackney Wick.

The best fish cookery we've had anywhere since a visit some years ago to Tom Brown's former boss in Cornwall. Every dish was enjoyable, fresh and original - the Cured Gurnard in particular was a work of art. The fixed menu was outstanding value for money. We will certainly come here again.

My wife and I have wanted to eat here since it opened. Tom Brown is from Cornwall as are we and it's great to see Cornish produce being conjured into the best food we have eaten in a long time. The menu is amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable and a fantastic complimenting wine lift! Nice one Tom Brown! Get on boy!

Incredible food from start to finish. The Mussels in particular were amazing, and the mackerel pate was a revelation. Really nice wines, and being able to see the cooks at work was great fun. Service was a little overly formal at times but the staff were excellent and great fun.

Bite for bite or should I say half bite for half bite this is the most expensive meal I/we have ever eaten,£18 for a scallop !! Oh but it's hand dived sir! -you'd expect a pearl too at this price.
The whole experience is complete nonsense -when are we going to move away from this Emperor's Suit of Clothes and get back to serving a proper meal.

Lovely informal surroundings, nice touch that the kitchen was on view in the middle of the room.
Excellent food, especially the squid ink scotch egg that we had as an extra to the tasting selection.
Waiting staff very friendly and attentive. As a personal preference the white wine could have been colder and we found the entrance into a black curtained area was a little odd but overall it was an excellent experience which we would definitely recommend to others.
