Amazing place for chocolate lovers ! Highly recommend
Had a lovely experience here! The staff are so friendly and professional. It felt very safe. I only removed a star because in the two toilets they have there wasn’t really running water to wash your hands. It came out in a trickle. Definitely something that’s important at this time.
Food and service were great, as always. Noise levels at Coro tend to be a bit on the louder side (who doesn't have a good time at a chocolate cafe?) but on this visit things were surprisingly calm and quiet. Maybe 16:30 on a Tuesday is the best time to go if you want some peace with your sugar high.
Very friendly staff and lovely food. Really sticky table though and my Americano has been spilled all over the saucer which itself was filthy and sticky underneath. Nice relaxed place.
Staff super friendly and helpful food amazing too much though next time I'd share 😋
The service was basic but all that’s needed. The food I had was the bacon and egg pancakes, was served on a slate. This isn’t really feasible when you’re having a runny egg which is going to go everywhere. In addition, the bacon was crispy to the point when it could not even be cut using the knife provided. Furthermore, the two cups provided for the water (white cups) were dirty with one having coffee stains all over. Considering the current circumstances this should be a basic check before being provided.
Sadly there was no Death by Chocolate Cake available!
It was great, but I would love to see some vegan options
Came here for a birthday breakfast and it was the perfect choice, the place was fairly quiet so a nice experience. The food as always was amazing and the service was quick.
Excellent food and great service, felt so welcome and the staff kept the place very clean at all times, will definitely be back
Big portions and tasty food, but the place is so dirty. Dirty glasses and bottle (even after they were changed for us). Food was slow to arrive, and staff were a bit impatient. Do not recommend, very unhygienic.
Food and coffee were great, service was so slow. The wait between ordering and getting the food was fine but the wait to take our order in the first place and to collect plates was ridiculous.
It was great but service was really slow, asked for the bill and the waitress who we asked went and serviced 3 other tables when we asked again she said "oh yes" and went and serviced another table.
Overall pretty good but waitress stood and waited near you with the bill I felt pressured to rush
Fabulous food, great service, such fun! We'll be back!
Lovely place to eat, would like the portions sizes a little bigger.
Service was great
Loved the menu choices and the food...place could do with a spruce up though
Great selection of desserts and super yummy, very friendly staff too
Full of students which we didn’t like. Staff were polite but service took a very long time, was like cooking a steak on an ice cube. Childish.
No distancing practiced. All tables occupied with no divisions or plastic barriers. Forgot two things, so then brought one of them really late asking if we still wanted the other one? Well ordered it so clearly yes. The place doesn't look/feel clean enough.
If you like chocolate definitely come here! K
My children's favourite place for desert. But the service was slow and messed our order up. But we did not complain, when we asked for the bill. To our surprise the manager came over and admitted about the service and asked us not to pay. This shows this place values customer service and we apperciated this honesty sure is a change to admit this without customer complaining. We left a £10 tip.
Staff are lovely and welcoming but our breakfast was not the nicest, the waffles and pancakes were barely warm, the quality of the
aforementioned waffles and pancakes were not amazing, as was the bacon. One of the milkshakes was nice, and the other one we did not drink, maybe personal preference. The table was sticky from what
assume was the previous customers syrup. The cafe got busy at points around the front door which shocked me a little as social distancing should be in place. There was only 3 staff working on a Sunday, where half of Edinburgh are hungover and wanting a decent breakfast.
This place is filthy. Needs a visit from the health inspector asap!!
If you love chocolate then this is the place for you. The whole menu is dedicated to it. The place is rustic and bare. It only does desserts but they do it to a high standard.
Very much enjoyed our visit. My tween daughters had built themselves into a frenzy trying to decide how many different crepes, waffles, fondues and milk-shakes they were going to consume. On the day, of course, the eyes were bigger than the belly and I had a great large strong flat white while the girls had a very nice milk-shake each. I had a really tasty apple & cinnamon crepe which was the right choice as I can't do too much sweet stuff, whilst one of my daughters had an excellent berry crepe whilst the youngest struggled a bit to finish her fruit and marshmallow fondue. With the Eat Out deal it was great value at £17, but even if we had payed full price it would have been worth the experience. Place was heaving and noisy with blenders constantly whirring but it was fun seeing just how enormous some of the dishes were and people were busy photographing their own food and those of others!
Food was amazing and staff couldn’t do enough for us
Food was excellent, but the place was very small, very loud which was more about the people there than the place it self. Also the free bottle of water was very grubby, so I would avoid that.
The food was incredible! The atmosphere was relaxed, we were given plenty of time to browse the menu but didn't feel we were waiting too long either. It is a nice little cafe, could maybe do with an update of decor, but that is a minor gripe. Would 100% go there again.
Simply one of the best places we have ever been to eat. As a family of 4 we ordered a selection of treats including cheesecake, cookie dough, waffles & fondue platter plus milkshakes and tea/ coffee. They were amazing! We had so much fun. Even a mystery family paid our bill😂
Went as family of 3 with one child. We loved it. There was sooooo much to choose from on the menu- it took us ages to decide! Food did not disappoint - we all loved it. Portions are big and delicious. Would recommend and return here again. Enjoy!
Loved this place. The food was amazing and great value, the staff friendly and attentive , the kids loved the vibe and the choice . Would definitely recommend !
Had booking at 1.30 on a Sunday and they were out of Gummy bears and brownies ??? Not impressed. Plate for pancakes was far too small. Was expecting home made marshmallows but NO they were clumps ?? DisappointEd won’t be back
Food was amazing but they forgot one of our drink orders and was hard to get a servers attention to get the bill or make an order
I have visited coro the chocolate factory a few times and it’s my favourite dessert place of all time! Staff are always friendly and the crepes are the best crepes I’ve ever had and the fondues are fab too, so are the milkshakes....everything is excellent!! Love it and can’t wait to return!
Really enjoyed our visit, staff were really friendly and helpful. Everything looked amazing!
I love eating here, this was my first time trying Coro in Edinburgh and I was not disappointed.
Food was nothing to write home about. Lot of what we were interested in were out of stock Sadly we cant recommend
Booked late on a Tuesday night for Wednesday afternoon. We weren't disappointed in the last. Portions were bigger than expected, but the challenge was accepted and we were victorious! Highly recommended!
