They seated us for a reservation immediately. It was a little difficult to get the attention of our server after our food arrived, but the mozzarella sticks and bread & burrata were MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD! Highly recommend ordering both of those.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I LOVE DERRICK , HE ALWAYS GREETS US WITH A SMILE. MAKES US FEEL AT HOME..... NOW THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE THE MEAT BALLS AND MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICKS WITH RANCH DRESSING. OF COURSE THE PIZZA IS SO LIGHT
AND DELICIOUS. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A COOL RESTAURANT. ALL THE WAITERS ARE THE
BEST. THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS FINDING ME A GREAT TABLE.
We've been to Cosa Buona for dinner several times in the past and often get takeout from them. Their salads and pizzas are great, if a little expensive. The winelist seems unnecessarily pricey to me. What's really driving this review is the service: our waitperson was glib, bordering on rude, and the food runners were actually surly, practically throwing the meals on the table and trying to remove appetizer plates before we had finished. The place just isn't big enough to warrant that kind of rush.
We had three different pizzas and they all lacked adequate toppings. They are very light handed with their toppings. The meatballs were delicious. We all agreed there are better Italian restaurant choices in L.A.
It’s my neighborhood spot, food is always fantastic and service always great.
Lots of folks told me to go try the pizza here, and I'd read about it in foodie magazines and online places like EaterLA. Since I was going to a show at the Greek, I was in that part of town. Gotta say that the pizza was salty -- both the margarita and marinara pizzas. So were the fabled mozzarella sticks. Yes, the pizza dough and oven yielded a nice, light but chewy crust. Tomato sauce was good. But frankly, 800 Degrees is better for considerably less $. Or if you are having an upscale night in terms of atmosphere and trendy spots, Roberta's pizza is better artisan pizza (Culver City), and so's La Pizza La Pasta at Century City's Eataly, without all that salt! (Were they having an off night?)
Great pizza. Great salads and veggies. Great natural wine.
Pizza is very good particularly the crispy crust that is deliciously thick only where it should be, on the perimeter. One complaint: the chef is heavy-handed with the salt. Everything was over salted.
Everything was mostly great. The food was incredible. Our server was not quite as good as last time, a little less friendly and patient. We understood about the $25 corkage fee and brought our own wine as we were unable to find the wine list online. Our server told us the first 2 bottles would be $25 and the third $50. We thought he was kidding! This absolutely should be noted online as well as wine list with prices. We made our reservation at the only time we could get a table for 6 and planned on a leisurely meal and we were going to a show at 9:15 at The Echo. $50 to open a third bottle, not customer friendly.
Food and Service was Amazing !
Went with a group of friends and quickly got a reservation. Best pizza in SL.
Absolutely fantastic! Amazing food and exceptional service. Really relaxed but also great vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Family friendly but still totally great if you're not with kids. Order dessert!!!
Cosa buona never disappoints. I make a fan out of every new person I bring.
Charming, romantic corner restaurant with excellent food, cold beer, and attentive servers. We found this place on our way to a Dodgers game and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the ambiance. The Italian chopped salad (maybe the best I’ve ever had) & stone oven pepperoni pizza were delicious. Our server was Derek & made sure the details were taken care of. Unfortunately we live in Michigan or we’d be frequent patrons.
Great food , great prices, great service. They have some small plates to share.
Casa Buona is a very good small italian restaurant. Excellent entrees and pizza.
If I lived closer to this area, I would spend my time at Masa instead. Cosa Buona is obnoxiously loud, there's just no reason to have music blasting that you can't hear because everyone is forced to talk SO loudly over it! The food is good, but it's no Pizzeria Mozza or Roberta's.
Always a pleasure coming to dine here.
The food is great. Everything we had was delicious. But this evening, the food...everything after the starters, was delivered one salad, one entrée at a time. Actually our fried got his salad and entree together. It was just bizarre. From the time the first entrée arrived, until the last, was approximately 20-30 minutes. It was crazy, but didn’t ruin our meal and everything was great. It was just odd.
Fantastic food, service, and experience as always
Derek was an outstanding server who helped guide us through our meal. We had a New Yorker with us who is highly critical of pizza and he was blown away by everything we shared. Our son was headlining at The Echo up the street so we were able to take our time and enjoy the experience:)
I went to Cosa Buona for like the 5th time and every time the food seems to stay great! I definitely recommend the Caesar salad and the mozzarella sticks as appetizers and the chicken and pizza! It’s a family friendly place.
Great elevated casual Italian-American and a great wine list. Always a treat!
Our fourth time here and the food was as delicious as the first time. We had the Cesar salad, clams, broccolini and cheese pizza with prosciutto added to it, and mozzarella sticks with tomato sauce. All excellent. They would be wise to add a window covering on the windows on the entrance wall as the setting sun was reflecting off the building across the street totally blinding. The wine is all “natural” and is terrible. Won’t be ordering any of that again.
We came here for Mother’s Day and had a great time. Our server really took care of us.
Professional Italian pizza craftsman. But the taste is a bit too salty. Ended up drinking a lot of water coming back home.
Phenomenal wine list. The best pizza. The friendliest staff. And don’t sleep on the crostino or hot wings!!
Amazing food. This place is an absolute must. The ambiance, the service are all top class. Extremely cozy little place in the middle of everything in Echo Park.
Pizza as excellent as the service.
The pizza was undercooked after we asked for it to be cooked well.
Waiter was not attentive and dismissive.
The best pizza in LA!!!!
meatballs were yummy, caesar salad was delicious and pizza was perfect!!!
I LOVE this place. The service is excellent. The food is superb. I recommend it for friends and family, anytime.
The noise level and table space could have been better, and the wine was quite overpriced. But the food was great and love the neighborhood!
This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The food is memorable, fresh, and delicious. The chef really puts thought into making each dish remarkable. I am a big fan!
Food is fabulous. Nice wine. Great service. What more could you want? I love this place!
This was our second time and it lived up to the first which was excellent. Caesar salad is the best. The meat lovers pizza was also excellent. Mushrooms were meh. Sorry we didn't get the tiramisu. We had it the first time and it was great...the people next to us ordered and when it arrived we realized that we should have..but it was too late.
Amazing service and delicious food. This place has become a neighborhood staple for my partner and me.
Amazing meal. Every dish we ordered was absolutely perfect. Will definitely come back very soon
