Côte Brasserie - Amersham
Polite staff and a very nice interior, however very average food at inflated prices. It’s a chain restaurant so what can you honestly expect?
Our confirmed # 272 Open Table booking was not found or registered by Côte Brasserie and no table was available.
The Chateaubriand was expensive for what it is worth., but the service was very good
The food and service were both excellent, but we had a little issue with the reservation though.
I called Cote a couple of days in advance to clarify that we needed a reservation for 3 and not for 2 as was done via open table and I was assured over the phone that the changes had been made.
Unfortunately no one at Cote Amersham got the memo, and they had limited tables due to the covid situation.
That said, the staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful and before you knew it they had found a solution and were extremely apologetic for the misunderstanding. Very outstanding staff at Cote Amersham, from entrance to exit. Well done!
Bit disappointed this time. Service very slow and the food nothing spectacular. when we last visited in January, we were very impressed and said we would go again. But now not so sure.
Absolutely fantastic food, I had the fillet steak with blue cheese butter and it was too die for!
The newly reopened Cote was quiet for Sunday lunch. Service was efficient (there were more waiting staff than diners!) and decent COVID19 measures were in place (most staff were wearing visors). However my friend’s grilled half chicken was undercooked & raw at the bone. The waitress (manager?) was very apologetic and immediately replaced it with another choice but this obviously marred the overall experience. Goodwill was offered on the final bill without even asking for it which I thought was very accommodating. The ambience was marred by a few off duty staff using the restaurant as a canteen - egalitarian perhaps but distracting nonetheless. All in all I think ‘Cote at Home’ was a preferable dining experience. This I would thoroughly recommend :-)
Birthday meal was very nice and free glass if Kia royal
I ordered the salmon and ratatouille. It was delicious.
Last minute booking at Cote Amersham as we were passing through. The staff were charming and attentive. The food was very good and was excellent value. I have become very impressed with this chain over the last few months and I consider it far superior to that other nationwide chain of French bistros
We have been to Cote Amersham many times and have always enjoyed our evening.
We think it is good value, the staff are very nice and efficient and we like the ambiance, especially if we get our favourite table in the window.
We made the noise but due to the seating arrangements knew we weren’t disturbing other diners which was great. The waitress was exceptional and should be acknowledged
Excellent food and service as usual here
Just great to be there again for a relaxed family sunday lunch. Ambience always lovely, food so conistent. What's not to like!
