Service very poor we chose the merlot and the waitress poured half a glass first without us tasting the main i chose the flan when it arrived i could not cut the base and complained 40 mins later after my wife had finished her main course my replacement arrived which was too late asked for the manager who deducted from the bill. lately visiting mant times the standard of the steaks are very poor and i dont order them now we visit on average twice a month but not sure now

They're newly opened, and a few things weren't quite there. The food tasted great, but it took a very long time to come, and as a result some of it was pretty cold. For the price, that's not good enough. Would try again once they're properly up and running.

Great service from beginning to end. Accommodated my picky self deciding where to sit! I’m a vegetarian so chose lentils with roasted squash. Lovely. Super glass of Merlot. Only one thing we didn’t like was pumpkin chocolate martini with nutmeg/cinnamon. Didn’t knock any stars off as we had a voucher for the free drink.

We all had steak frites which I have had many many times. We all noticed that the steak was much smaller than previously. One portion was very tough too. I think I’d prefer to pay a little more rather than you cut back on quality. Also the chocolate sauce for the Coup Noir was half the normal size - didn’t even coat half my ice cream. Obviously your costs have gone up but Clifton Cote is packed every night. Better to put prices up a bit rather than compromise on quality.

A new and simple meal, the Tartiflette which was good as a filling and warming mini lunch. It was quieter than usual hence the fewer stars for ambience because we were earlier than usual 12.15, and it’s just after the Christmas period. But this is still my favourite restaurant.

We went on my wife's birthday. First things first, the service is always fantastic at this restaurant. We go every year. I had a grilled sea bream and it was absolutely delicious. Really nice balance of flavours (although it didn't need the tapenade, nice as it was). We think that the mussels service was down on size on this last visit and the mussels were not their usual plumply-gorgeousness so I've given a 4* for food this time. Calamari starter is always my go-to and it didn't let me down. My daughter had a fillet steak and she said it was delicious Great visit, worth it for the service alone

Although you confirmed to me a firm booking, I received a phone call from Cote saying that my booking was void. Their computer system was down , but I heard nothing from OpenTable. In fact when I tried to book another restaurant from OpenTable you refused as you said I already had a confirmed booking. A complete DISASTER !!

The Bristol branch is by far the best Côte I’ve been to - the layout of the restaurant provides an intimate dining experience without being stuffy. The food was SO well cooked (as always). We’re big fans

A beautiful ambient setting particularly for romantic meals or celebratory occasion. Staff were very polite and friendly yet not always too attentive. The food was tasty yet I did not believe the food was up to the quality I expected from the appearance of the restaurant. The praline crepe dessert was definitely a highlight. The food was above average though for a chain restaurant.

I am a regular customer of Cote brasserie in London , I was visiting Bristol and decided to eat at Cote brasserie. The food was good as usual but it took a while for them to serve us the mains and the noise level was quite high. I understand that it’s Saturday night and the restaurant was busy but they should have a contingency plan when they are busy if they want to serve the food on time.
