Côte Brasserie - Hampstead
First time at Cote Hampstead, and as much as all the Cote I have been are excellent, this one was even better with an amazing service without been too much. Love it:)
Really lovely evening
Could have more space between people eating or plexiglass separators but overall the food was really good and service as well.
Great overall. Always reliable
They were overbooked and had people waiting at the door. We were turned away.
Service was quite slow and the tables were too small to hold wine and water as well as plates of food. The food was good but the outside of our steak tasted quite charred which ruined it a bit. I was surprised how little steak we got when we ordered a chateaubriand - wouldn’t recommend getting this for that reason. Enjoyed the merlot, the chocolate crepe and lemon tart afterwards was amazing.
Staff should be more friendly. Two of them hardly smile or acknowledge us. The lady was only one
Côte Hampstead was busy when we had lunch but service was efficient and friendly. The chicken & walnut salad was well done and the sea bream looked nicely cooked. Good place to meet for a quick lunch.
Expensive and not tasty
Staff lovely and setting very nice too
Delightful lunch! Great wine. Reasonable prices. Best salade Nicoise ever!
Great food! Quiet for a Sat, Covid fears obviously hitting, meant loads of space between tables, so private but a little lacking in atmosphere. Not the restaurant's fault!
Great service, staff!
Very friendly staff!
An excellent meal with excellent service enjoyed by us all
Service could be improved. Took ages to be seated, even for a booked table. This seems to be a theme in Cote Hampstead. Coffee decidedly lacklustre in flavour.
We really like this place, but this past Sunday was tough. Sometimes all it takes is one waiter in a bad mood. Sunday brunch wasn’t even that packed and the staff kept bumping into each other, dropping food on the floor (and not cleaning), forgetting to get our order.
I asked for the breakfast menu and a waiter said this is all we have, in a bad mood. And another table told us they had gotten a breakfast menu. We asked another waiter who eventually brought it to us.
It seemed they were dumping dishes in our table, our check took forever, and they never brought the credit card machine.
Ultimately food was good and the hostess did everything she could to compensate. She was a real angel.
Ignored for 15 minutes by bored staff even though not busy
We have always been served well here. The lady manager is very good and whenever she is there we've had excellent service.
Price wise, it's the best you can get.
Its a great place for casual dinner with family and friends.
Very unhappy with the seating by the entrance though. Luckily, was seated there only once and found it bothersome as people entering the restaurant stood close by and by the cold gusts of wind that blew in with every customer entering the restaurant. This made our plates cold it less palatable.
Excellent service, food and ambience. As always. It’s best to book a table as it can get busy.
It's been excellent in the past. We come here, as a family usually, for all birthdays and anniversaries but were quite disappointed this time.
Excellent food. The rib-eye on the specials menu was particularly good.
Food was ok, gave us migraines. I think they use a lot of MSG. Bread and butter pudding was not fresh
We had an amazing meal at the Cote Brasserie in Winchester and savoured the Goat Cheese salad , mushroom risotto and tuna carpaccio. We ordered the same at the Cote in Hampstead and it was really disappointing with everything being under seasoned: the risotto was tasteless without any Parmesan cheese and the salad was nothing like the one we previously had. Cote management should look into having more consistent quality. However, the staff took notice of our concerns and offered us a discount.
Food was fresh and cooked well. The waiter was great but very busy, so had to wait a while for plates to be cleared, but other than that, dinner was most enjoyable. The deserts were wonderful-praline and chocolate crepes, chocolate fondant and of course, tarte fine au pommes.
Quick and value for money
