The inspiration for the fuss-free French food and the stylish interior comes from the traditional bistros of Paris. The emphasis is on simply, reasonably priced dishes and the menu includes familiar Gallic favourites like moules marinières, steak frites with skinny frites, duck confit and the Côte dessert speciality, crème caramel. Côte is ideal for a quick business lunch, mid-week dinners with friends, and pre-theatre meals. We guarantee you’ll come back time after time.

I have been to Cote many times and always found the food excellent but this time I was disappointed especially as I had recommended the restaurant for our family lunch.

I ordered soup it came warm and it was sent back to the kitchen when it came back it was hot but very bland no flavour. My brother-in-law had the mushroom starter and he said it was warm in places and very cold in other places, he said the steak wasn’t nice but the chips were lovely. The rest of the family enjoyed the chicken and puddings.
It was a busy lunch time and I am not sure whether this was the reason for some bad meals.

My wife and two friends enjoyed the experience very much. The only slight complaint was that when we booked we asked for a booth for four at the front of the restaurant, only to be seated at the back of the restaurant at a round table that was far too big.
