Really beautiful place, happy hour was a treat and the prawn stater is divine
This is one of my favourite restaurants to come to when I’m back in London. The food is always amazing and really good service as well. I absolutely adore the place so much so that I went twice in one week! I tell everyone to go there!
The establishment was warm and inviting with vibes of the West Indian Islands.
The service was fairly good however there were a couple of hickups with the waitresses. Overal the staff were pleasant, polite and generally attentive which made the experience surfice.
Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Being a lover of West Indian food, the starter of salt fish fritters was sadly pro- dominantly batter. There was no salt fish to be seen in the dish! This was ordered with fried plantain and this dish was fine.
Based on the starter we decided not to order a main. Looking at the menu we noticed that it was quite restricting for a non-red meat eaters or vegetarians, which was also disappointing.
We were extremely surprised not to see curry chicken, brown stew chicken, or dishes of this simularity on the menu. However the music and ambience were very nice and the cocktails especially the Island Duppy were exquisite!!!
Quiet on Saturday evening which was a surprise, but brilliant and efficient service. Nice food and greater cocktails.
Food came out cold.
Upset Stomachs After Dining Here.
Amazing but in cotttons shoreditch the platter are served in a basket.
Jerk chicken seems to be oven made... it lacked a bit of authenticity sorry
Food was great and the staff on the Saturday were very courteous and friendly.
Small restaurant lovely atmosphere, staff very accommodating. Good background music... food almost tasted like home cooked, well marinated and reasonable portions. We had quite an enjoyable evening.
This was my first and will be my last visit to this restaurant. It’s nothing like Camden and they could learn a thing or two from them.
The ambiance was boring everyone looked miserable and the music was dull.
The starters started off good, as for the mains and the dessert...
Mains - My husbands chicken was luke warm and he ended up with an upset stomach that night. My fish meal was like soup due to the amount of sauce in my plate. Another couple had advised us that their meal was cold as well.
Dessert - i have no idea who made the warm chocolate fondant, but it wasn’t warm it was cold and stodgy. The lovely manager replaced it and it still couldn’t bring myself to eat it.
My husbands ice cream was not like ice cream it was more like a gluey texture.
Drinks - No complaints about the Bellini’s and Prosecco.
The food was not worth the money and I look forward to going back to my regular cottons in Camden.
As a person of Caribbean decent, I and my partner thought the food and taste was an insult to our intelligence as Caribbean people, then having to pay £85 for food that was unacceptable is not on.
I suggest you get more authentic Caribbean chefs.
Your food needs a serious re vamp.
Starter was raw, a lot of arguing in the kitchen and food took way too long to come and was not great. I won't be back.
I dont know what Cottons normal menu is like but the set menu for Valentines day was below average did not enjoy it at all.
The servers were rude only got good service from bartender.
1st time to the Notting hill gate branch very nice been to Camden town branch many times Notting hill much nicer will be back
Nice decor and friendly staff. The starter of a Mezze platter portion size was too small for 2 people and lacked flavour. The mains was nicely presented seasoned well lacked authenticity.
This place was terrible. I would never go back. Bad service and food.
Slow service, waitresses not very attentive
Food slightly cold
Ambience a little bit flat
Food is great!!! Unfortunately there was a big birthday booking of 15+ going on at the same time that we were seated so the waitress was not very attentive to us, as she was stretched over seeing her area. We were put in the corner of the room to the large booking so it was also very noisey. In general the restaurant appeared to be understaffed as we weren't greeted by a host either when we came in the bar man saw to us. Food... I could not fault AT ALL it was lovely. Service could do with some work though. Saying that our experience of Cottons -Notting Hill is not tainted and we will be booking again in the future. Hopefully second time round with better service and just as good food as the first time.
Presentation of the food was great especially the starters which was salt fish fritters. Overall the experience of the evening was good, pricing of the food could be a little cheaper.
Lovely food but ridiculous service. Booked a table for 5 when it opens and they were late opening and then we had to sit at a tiny table for 2 despite the place being practically empty.
Really nice friendly staff, great food and good overall experience would recommend
Wonderful food great quality good service. Great for a birthday dinner. But pricy but worth it!
Very impressed with the quality of the service: firendly, efficient, unobstrusive-- so rare in most restaurants.
The food was really very tasty, having tried several dishes between us.
A nice environment in good location, sure.
Really lovely restaurant to sit in and take in the atmosphere. The staff are fine, however the deserts, we waited quite a while, the chocolate rum cake, which was delectable however the apple mango crumble ruined the night as it was basically inedible. Absolutelly horrible
Food definitely tasted authentic. Very different to previous visits to the various branches.
Food was not at an acceptable temperature and even when mentioned to staff, there was not much acknowledgement for the the inconvenience.
Explicit music was playing with a lot of Jamaican cursing words, children and families were present.
The food overall was very salty.
Cocktails were the best part of the meal.
I do not think i will be returning anytime soon.
I went to celebrate a birthday with family. I didnt know what to expect but what I got was outstanding, the food, the drinks, the vibes, the staff were attentive and friendly everything was really good. I've already told my friends about it, we're planning our next visit. Highly recommended!
The food was good, a bit too spicy with some items like the curry goat and jerk chicken and too much bbq sauce on the kids chicken. I don’t like food being too s pouch that you can’t enjoy because you are frying, ruins the experience. Music and drinks were great! Service was a bit slow but not too bad for a Saturday night. However, the thing that was the most disappointing was the ladies toilet, bin overflowing with tissue and toilet paper running out! Such a let down.
Nice time with my wife
Wonderful Restaurant with friendly Service and outstanding meals for a valuable price. Evertime again.
Brilliant food, brilliant service. Can’t wait to return!
Great atmosphere,. nice cosy feel about the place fronted by a small but very nice cocktail bar where sampling one or two of their creations is very much recommended. Food was very good and extremely tasty and well presented. The jerk pork was a little too fatty for my liking but that was the only small criticism.

2nd time to Cottons. Not as good as the first time largely because of a food order. One dish arrived way too late to a point where we were all full, so it was sent back. Then the restaurant billed us for this dish whereas they should have told us that this dish was going to be late.
However, their food is great.
Service wasn't as good as the first time because this time the owner / manager wasn't there. Last time every member of staff was on their toes.
Will I go back, probably because its great Caribbean food but this time they messed up.
The service was excellent and the food was terrific. However, the cost to value ratio was high, and the encouraged loudness of customers by some staff made it slightly uncomfortable for us. I highly recommend for groups, but maybe not as an intimate dining place for couples.
Had a wonderful evening at Cotton's. Food was delicious, drinks were lovely. Thank u to the bar Manager who was so accommodating, the waiter who made us smile.. nothing was 2 much. Thank you guys for a fun evening
Was there for my birthday. Nice team, excellent cocktails and food.
Delicious, filling, great value and the jerk chicken sauce was spicy just how I like it ! The waitress also gave great cocktail recommendations
They really do serve the best Pina Colada in town. A must-try whwn you go there!
The food was delicious and the jerk chicken was super tasty and well prepared.
The service was great. Super friendly staff
A very friendly and inviting restaurant. The manager and staff were excellent and very attentive. Food was very good and overall, it was a very good meal and evening.
