Cottons - Notting Hill Gate Ratings and Reviews
Went here with colleagues for a team outing. I had been to a couple of the other Cottons before and love the food, but none of my colleagues had. They absolutely loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was very good. There was music which gave it a good atmosphere but not loud that you couldn't have a conversation. I would definitely recommend Cottons for great Caribbean food and a nice evening out. Looking forward to the new one opening in Vauxhall.
I did not know what to expect from this Caribbean restaurant in Notting Hill, where my father and I had dinner recently. It was great! The food was great (and pretty spicy), and we topped it off with some wine and, of course, rum.
We could talk quietly without difficulty, and the restaurant was busy but not crowded.
Overall, great experience!
We had walked past Cottons a number of times since moving to the area and had been meaning to try it for a while. It was a fun, lively dining experience with some great live music. The singer was incredible. The food also did not disappoint. It was spicy with generous portion sizes. I would recommend the fried plantain.
Lovely food, Fantastic service from our Dominican waitress, amazing rum cocktails, (I had to restrain myself from drinking anymore), A mixture of current and nostalgic West Indian background music, all led to a buzzing atmosphere and amazing evening all round. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I will be back very soon, as there are so many more dishes I want to try!
Enjoyed meal. Started off with complimentary appetiser that was very tasty. Great cocktails.longer happy hour hours would be better. Restaurant was empty due to conflicting with professional office hours. Great food portions.staff very friendly too. Would go again. Different vibe to camden. Less authentic caribbean but food and drinks live up.
We had a great experience. The quality reflects the price and we have eaten in many of the dining capitals in the Caribbean such as Anguilla, St Martin, Barbados and the quality is equal. Well done. It's great London has an authentic Caribbean high quality restaurant.
I booked Cottons in Nottinghillgate for my Husbands Birthday. I'd already been to the Camden eatery, however the one in Nottinghill surpassed my expectation. I had the Coconut Broth to start with which was delish, this came with a slice of Sourdough Bread, one of my faves, Followed by Red Snapper steamed in Banana Leaf with a gorgeous side order salad.. The flavors were gorgeous, i haven't tasted Caribbean food as good as this for a while. As you can hear i'm a very happy customer My Husband was equally as satisfied.. The service was friendly, Charming, and not too intrusive.. And the Mia Tai's were fab! We'll be going back for more at some point! I highly recommend.
Nice authentic Caribbean food. Would not have ordered the fritters as a starter and plantains on the side if I'd realised that the mains also came with plantain and fritters, as it was v filling. Some Caribbean hot pepper sauce on the tables would have been a nice touch, but you get a little from the kitchen if you ask for it.
