food was lovely. very hot and tidy. lovely!!!
THE MANAGER WAS RUDE AND BANNED US FROM THE RESTARAUNT FOR NOT PAYING SERVICE CHARGE. I EXPLAINED THAT THE SERVICE WAS POOR AS OUR FOOD COME OUT VERY LATE THE MANAGER WAS TOUCHING UP HIS STAFF IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!!!!!
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and we had a lovely evening. The pina colada cocktails were amazing! the food was great, we had the sharing platter and there was plenty of it. The service was perfect. We would definitely return.
Food okay but beef patty starter arrived cold. The noise of screaming unruly children was just unbearable. Some people seemed to think they had the run of the place and their kids were running wild all over the restaurant making so much noise and ruining the evening for everyone. Would not recommend.
I found the service to be friendly however, it took quite a while for us to get our drinks. The food is definitely not value for money and overpriced for what you get. It was not traditional Caribbean food and very bland, with the meat being so burnt to the point you had no meat to even eat! To end it, our service charge was nearly £20 which was disappointing. I will not be going back to this venue, well only maybe for the cocktails.
great food amazing service and dessert to die for with good friendly service
Excellent food, excellent service, really impressed. We were well looked after. Great wine list too. Good prices.
Great Caribbean food. Lovely restaurant. Four friends catching up, to enjoy a wholesome meal before heading off to the west end.
Food doesn’t taste the same too salty and not nice
Delicious food, a good variety of tasty rum cocktails, friendly staff and overall a nice atmosphere.
The service was good, but the food wasn't. We had to send back quite a few of our dishes and didn't receive any discount for not being able to eat some of our meal. Also items were missing from our meal.
Nice friendly staff, but a shame about the food especially as it was a birthday celebration
The services was alright but the best part of the night was the cocktail bar man. An amazing man that could make you anything to tickle your fancy and will serve it with a smile
The place was fun, the service good and very friendly, the cocktails were great and there was even live music to improve the already nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food did not really live up to the rest. It was perfectly adequate but rather stodgy and tasteless for our liking, Great place for a drink though
Fantastic food and cocktails would recommend to anyone who enjoys a chilled out vibe in lively surroundings!!
The food was authentic carribean with all the flavours springing into our mouths with each bite. Particular mention must be made to the brown Rice which deserved a star on its own merits. Unforgettable was also the rhum fruit cake both for its presentation and taste. And a word of advice: do not leave the restaurant without trying One of the more than 200 rhums available.
Disappointing meal overall with a few good dishes but several very poor. Service was dreadful and generally not great value for money
Their service is excellent and their knowledge of rum is second to none. The food is brilliantly presented and delicious! highly recommend the spiced duck and the rum profiteroles. Fantastic live music and we can't wait to go back!
The worst meal I have had in a restaurant in a very long time, most of the food not eaten. Over cooked, burnt and not enjoyable.
Extremely flavoursome and authentic Caribbean food, with wonderful attentive service and an amazing choice of rums!
A group of 7 of us went for my godmothers birthday! She loves a rum! The Cottons punch was beautiful! The guy who served us was great and all in all we had a lovely night! I can definately recommend the Chaguana’s dinner plate! It was a triumph!
Evening spent with friends, great service, staff very attentive and friendly... Food was very tasty
Friendly staff, and great food.
The Food was tasteless which was very disappointing
Good service and food as always. Only thing to note is they now seem to accept dogs brought with customers (indicate when booking if you have allergies).
Slow service and poor quality food on the night that we went. I won’t be going back in a hurry.
Although the place was empty when we got there, the service was still very slow & it didn't improve.
Can only give one star. I booked via app, all was confirmed, only for me and my date to turn up to the restaurant being shut! That’s a really great “special offer” we’ve got
None of the charm, atmosphere or quality of food as the branches in Vauxhall or Shoreditch. Quiet enough to hear other diners chewing, microwaved dehydrated rice that you couldn't eat, we ended up leaving most of our food.
We should have paid attention to the fact that it was worryingly empty for 7pm on a Saturday night....
Such a shame as had great experiences in two of the other branches
Great experience and lovely peaceful environment
Very disappointing! Upon arrival I asked about the special set menu, before I finished asking I was rudely cut off and told it was open tables error not theirs and they wouldn't do it. I said it was fine and we all picked a starter and a main as they menu looked yummy. I got the steak which came with potatoes, I asked it was could switch it to rice I was again rudely told NO comes as is. So we ordered rice as a site. Starters took an hour to come. They were ok. Main another 45mins and it was cold. To make it worst there was a band on from 7pm-10, too loud and if I'm honest really unpleasant to listen to. The service was very slack and I was insulted there was 12.5% service charge added. Like a true Brit paid and left. Felt embarrasses as I picked this for us to go to. Rum Kitchen is far better in Nottinghill.
Empty on a Tuesday evening, well two other tables - a sign? Went in anyway. Service great but the food was unremarkable and therefore way over priced.
Lovely food and drinks, but the live music was a bit too loud
Excellent customer service! Food is great and menu varied. Really great experience for my wife and I nearly 20 years after we first went to Cottons in Camden.
The staff were welcoming, the food was good, the service was great, just enough attention, not over bearing.
Really great food and very friendly service! We enjoyed everything!!
I went with a group of friends and we had a great time hear. My friends were over from Ireland and wanted to go to a good Carribbean joint and Cottons was the first place that came to mind as it is so close to where I live. We went there at 3pm to find out that the restaurant doesnt open during the day, just evenings. So we waiting around for 3 hours to go here and I must say the food did not disappoint! I had the half jerk chicken, rice and peas and plantain. It was incredible. Really enjoyed my time here
Gorgeous food, great cocktails and friendly and efficient service. What more could you ask?
Tasty food and cocktails, good service and atmosphere
Second visit to this branch (used to go to the Camden branch when it was local to me). Fantastic food, great friendly service. Rum choice outstanding. Definitely recommend it.
I have been and enjoyed a meal there previously. But on this occasion, I was appalled to see a dog in the restaurant - this has put my family and I off using the place. For that reason, I know my circle of family and friends would not wish to eat there. Really sorry but feel strongly that pets should not be allowed in such places.
