Court Brasserie at Stonehouse Court
The restaurant takes its name from the properties historical ‘Justices Room’, where local administration of public justice took place during the 19th century, often presided over by a regional magistrate.
Despite this, we can assure you the staff nowadays are considerably less judgmental.
Our Brasserie Menu is served daily from 12:00 - 21:00.
Reservations are recommended. Please call 01453 794 950 for more information."

We enjoyed our meal, a little costly but it was very good
The service was good. Natalie, our waitress, was exceptional. Her attention was exceptional and totally elevated the experience. I hope her managers are aware of how good she is
Menu is very small and limited. The chicken with lemon looked like it had been microwaved as the skin was soggy. Mussels for starters were lovely but I’d say I was disappointed overall as this was a birthday treat.
I booked a table but when I arrived was told it was cancelled without any pre warning.
They were very busy at the time so, accept how it was
Lovely meal in a peaceful setting with countryside views. We sat outside with a cover and they had relaxing music playing. Lovely food and very helpful and friendly staff. Very enjoyable experience will definatly return
Very good atmosphere and so nice to see people enjoying a meal but felt safe that our children could be somewhere on the grounds but not disturbing anyone else.
Unfortunately my booking never happened as an error was made at Stonehouse Court 🙁, booked a special Afternoon Tea for my Daughters 21st Birthday, had the confirmation & when we arrived there was no one there !
A lovely lady came out though & profusely apologised , saying the booking manager had made an error , we were so disappointed, our afternoon ruined ☹️
We always enjoy coming to the Stonehouse Court ( we are very local to the Hotel). The biggest disappointment is the high price. I've spoken to many locals that are put off by the high price of drinks and food. £17 for a ploughmans is at the top end of local prices for sure.
Lovely hotel, great tasting food and friendly staff. Service is quite slow and food portions can be mixed.
Good to be back on the Terrace. Excellent servicer again, and good food!
Lovely space, brilliant staff, wonderful food. Will definitely return
Food really poor- all dishes v salty with very little other flavour input. Nothing special, and very poor given the price
We attended for an Afternoon Tea (3 of us). Was extremely disappointed in the quantity of the tea for 3 people, very expensive for what we received. 3 tiny thin sandwiches and 3 cakes. Not worth the money in my opinion, even though it was tasty was not good value for money. I visited another hotel in Cheltenham and literally received twice the amount of food with champagne at their Afternoon Tea. Won't return.
Incredible fillet steak and stunning scallops.
The restaurant is very smart with original panelling and open fire. The staff were lovely.
Superb ambience. Claire is so welcoming & professional. Food superb & lovely setting.
Always helpful, nice food and good surroundings. Good for my grandchildren.
Over all had a great meal, setting lovely and service good, only bad point was the cheese board at the end of the meal. Cheese was priced individually or three pieces for £15, we went for the latter deciding to share it as I only wanted a small amount anyway which was a good thing! The portions whilst tasty were very small, two types of crackers (small portions again) one of them tasted like chocolate-not pleasant and a few balsamic pickled onions. I think they were trying to be too fancy, a good portion of cheese, some normal crackers and chutney or relish would have been much better!
On the whole though very enjoyable.
A great menu that enabled me to try something new.
Service was excellent and the food was superb.
Lovely meal at this Hotel. Good choice on the menu with good value. Great attentive service and romantic ambience.
Good food and nice friendly service, the restaurant was clean and spacious.
Good options of food and were too a high standard.
Stonehouse Court made space for us for afternoon tea even though they were not taking bookings. Lovely afternoon tea.
The food was great. Long wait for our starters when only us there. However we were not rushed. Very dark in the restaurant. Stairs to the restaurant and another flight of stairs to the toilets. Couldn't see any disabled facilities or disabled access to the restaurant.
Great surroundings, attentive service and excellent food.
My husband said it was the best sausage and mash dish he had ever had and my rare steak was perfect.
The young lady who served our food was superb. The food was generally OK, but the steak and the fish appeared to have a little more salt than was necessary. The main downside was standing in the doorway, waiting to be seated, whilst the lady was involved in a conversation with people already seated. If that made us feel uncomfortable, the same lady talked with the same customers at breakfast, after they had come into the Brasserie after us! We felt a bit like second class citizens.
The food was excellent. It was a very efficient and friendly service.
Food served on cold plates so tepid when served.
Just poor pub grub really.
We felt the menu prices didn’t reflect the quality of the food and felt it was overpriced. I ordered Cajun chicken which said it came with jalapeños when it came it was a chicken burger with bacon and cheese not what I was expecting and very disappointing as I do not like burgers. I didn’t want to spoil my friends meal so I ate some of it. On checking the menu on the website when we got home there was no Cajun chicken only the burger so I think we were given an old menu in the restaurant. I did mention to the waitress that it wasn’t what I was expecting and said she would mention it to the manager but offered no explanation. We were also charged 10% service charge added to the bill, we were only a party of 4 and although it was optional we felt obliged to pay it so as not to cause offence.
The hotel offers itself as up market, I was very disappointed and would not recommend eating there to a friend.
Great ambience food was ok... steak was very chewy
Great food excellent service,
But the only thing not so good was due to being seated at a table too close to reception, main doorway into the building
We had a wonderful experience on Mothering Sunday. The staff were very busy but were wonderfully supportive of our family. The meal was superb (fabulous beef), the sweets very tempting and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for making my day. Our family is always a challenge but Stonehouse Court was marvellous
My wife and I both had steak. The steak was no more than OK. It's a shame because the rest of the food was good as was the wine.
The service we received was excellent and the food matched.
Brilliant food and brilliant service in wonderful surroundings, what more can you ask for?!
Booking was confused. They thought it was for 2 not 5. Clearly under staffed. Things asked for were forgotten and had to remind. Food was excellent.
Good restaurant with tasty food and a nice atmosphere.
Our third time of dining at this restaurant and after a few problems last time, it's back up to it's good standard. Unobtrusive music, great food and good service. Definitely a good place for a birthday celebration.
The food and the set up was fine, but it took over 2 hours for us to be served a main course and desert in the evening (and we had our 9 year old daughter with us) which was just too long and made the evening a disappointment. There were not enough staff on. It a nice place but this has put us off, and I wouldn't go back at the moment
Superb evening.... try the sardines! Log fire especially awesome
Good food and service would go again, if in the area
