My friend and I were mistakenly charged extra £100 and the waiters instead of apologising started giving remarks like “I don’t know how many times I can redo this receipt”.
Another waiter in the beginning was deliberately rude when I clearly pointed our in the wine list what bottle of wine my friend and I wanted. He started shouting “How much money do you want to spend on wine?” When I asked him EXACTLY which wine we wanted since the beginning.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Wonderful and delicious
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Coya. All of the staff were very helpful & friendly. Our favourite dishes were the Sea Bass with rice and the Ribeye with chimichurri. Definitely order the churros for dessert!
Visited COYA for the first time for a work team lunch. Loved the venue - great decor and the staff were super friendly. Felt very safe as all COVID rules were in place and being enforced.
Food was amazing and so much fun to share! We all said that we would return with our families!
Staff made us feel very Covid safe.
The food was outstanding, my husband had not had Peruvian food before and was a bit unsure prior to our visit. He was pleasantly surprised at the choice and flavours on the menu.
The menu was a bit difficult to access digitally but we were given a paper copy when we requested it. We would have liked to see a wine list along with the sommelier giving her valued opinion
Tried the seabass and tuna ceviches which were nice. Salmon and tuna tacos were a bit bland but worked with the ceviche sauces. Tuna tiradito, empanadads and baos were quite standard. Chocolate fondant was a nice dessert to finish with.
Nice decor and attentive service except we waited a long time for the bill even after asking twice.
Music is quite loud so people end up talking quite loudly, especially if there are big groups.
Very enjoying meal, went for a friend’s birthday. The service and experience was amazing!
Great experience dining at COYA, nice atmosphere, music and decor. There was a good variety of small plates to share. Busy but not too busy. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely return!
Great food and wine and friendly service. Not cheap but worth it
Great food and drinks.
Coya is a gem in the City of London. The made-to-order guacamole at your table is a must, as is the ceviche; the tuna tacos and the sea bass risotto to name but a few stand-out à la carte.
Whilst not cheap, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. There is a pleasant atmosphere and whilst the tables for 2 are close together, it is not noisy or
Excellent service combined with delicious food. Asked the waiter for food recommendations, and that was probably the best decision we made! Will come back.
Well decorated, very nice food - service was pretty slow and the food is very expensive (as is the wine, very limited lower priced options).
The food was good. The ceviches, specialty dishes and seafood plates were better than the other variety of beef and chicken etc. The churros were exceptional. Service was dissapointing.
First table was draughty, the service was a bit patchy
Extremely rude and inexperienced waiting staff, I normally go to Mayfair Coya and have an amazing top level experience.
The waitress had a really bizarre attitude all night, then I discovered later that she actually didn’t speak a word of English. We ordered sparkling water and she kept refilling our glasses (which were still half full of sparkling) with tap water, it was really annoying.
We informed her that one of the party had a severe sesame allergy and she later placed two sesame filled dishes directly in front of her.
Not sure if I should blame the substandard staff or the person managing the place who hired such inadequate staff.
If you are expecting anything more than a good guacamole then don’t waste your time (I will say that the guac is pretty good - but that is about it!).
This venue caters for a completely different clientele, think Gilgamesh. Honestly, I was embarrassed to be there, a real tarnish to the reputation of such a good restaurant, and a huge waste of money.
Amazing food. Great service. Good atmosphere and crowd. Only moan was it was my birthday and I had requested a nice table but they gave me a rubbish table in between lots of people. Apart from that - highly recommend. Food and service is impeccable.
We brought a couple of clients for lunch, and quite frankly, for the cost, the service was unacceptable.
We went for the lunch menu and ordered starters and mains, once finished, we asked for the next course, as we had already sat there for 35 minutes with empty plates uncleared and were told that we did not order dessert ( who orders dessert with starters? The waitress did not ask if we wanted to order dessert right away either) and were presented with the full price dessert menu.
It took the staff 2 hours and 15 minutes to serve and clear 2 courses at lunch time. In the city, who has over 2hours to have lunch??
We were, of course, charged for the 3 course lunch menu, even though we did not have dessert ( fair enough, we went for the lunch option, but perhaps they could have at least offered coffee or dessert which were included??) rather than suggest we pay additionally on top, just because the waitress did not ask us if we wanted to order it at the front.
Very poor service. The food was average.
Would certainly not recommend for a lunch.
Such a wonderful experience. We have been here several times and it never disappoints. From the wonderful decor to the amazing service to the delightful food options. A definite must when in London.
Wonderful :) Fabulous food and service we all thoroughly enjoyed so thank you very much xx
I liked the food and ambience. Staff was pretty friendly and quick.
The only thing is that the portions are extremely small.
Food was terrific.
Absolutely outstanding. We all had the Halloween special tasting menu and were blown away by everything on it. The restaurant was also doing a full on Dia de los Muertos celebration which added to the atmosphere.
Awesome dining experience! Great food and the best service!
Won’t ever get board of Coya! Everyone there is intent of you having a great time with excellent food! HAVE THE SEABASS PLEASE! It is EXCELLENT! I would go as far as to say it’s the best meal I’ve ever had! So so good! Can’t wait to go back soon!
- Hip Location
- Really good food
- Nice service
Great lunch menu and very good service. Always a pleasure to return to Coya.
Fantastic food fantastic service what can I say thank you for making the day memorable for me and my wife
Absolutely amazing food and beautiful interior decor.
We went for dinner at this restaurant on 3th August and we left very satisfied with the place. We really liked the welcoming from reception by the lovely ATHINA, very friendly and smiling.
The food was very nice with a lot of mixed and enjoyable flavors, we loved the 3 ceviche(tuna, salmon, seabass), and the amazing churros, definitely you need to try. Thanks to our waiter Mirco for the friendly service, the suggestion and explanation about couple of dishes.
Thank you so much for a lovely experience!
Awful thumping loud music and completely ignored by the staff.
Amazing restaurant. We were very pleased about everything : location, food, service, music.
Outstanding food in a vibrant restaurant. The noise levels were at the limit, but it's a fun place.
Had a fantastic evening. Great cocktails pre meal and service throughout. Lovely food and ambience.
Completely delicious food, really tasty. The service was a bit quirky, but atmosphere, and ambience lovely. Tasting menu is a real treat. Will be back
Superb food with excellent “unfussy” service. Great ambience for business or pleasure.
As always, the food and service are sublime. Couldn't recommend more highly.
Celebrated my boyfriend’s bday & it was his first ceviche. Delicious food and tentative staff.
Nice interior design, service was good. But most of the food was average to poor. Except for the bao and the ceviche which were good. It is too expensive for the quality of food on offer.
Food was delicious and service really. I would definitely come back.
