Food was brilliant and service excellent. It was a bit on the pricy side though.
I was disappointed by the service or should I say waiter on valentines day! he was not helpful, rude and service was terrible.
Second time I have been to COYA and without a doubt the food was amazing! We was tucked away in the corner near the front door which cant be helped due to it being a full house, but the waiter we had was poor! While getting served I asked for any good recommendations on the food - he had replied "everything was good" in a strong moody tone of voice. I was recommended the steak of the bone which I picked and he was like "it is sold out" so he didn't tell me what was available on the menu.
once the food was ordered, my partner's cocktail tasted very sour so we asked if this can be sweetened, it wasn't done by him so I had asked for another waiter after a while to get this sorted, this was resolved by another waiter.
once out food came out (which took a while due to valentines day) we wanted to order some sides dishes like quinoa salad with our mains the waiter then told us that the kitchen was closed! so we both had our mains with no sides to go with our dishes. I felt that the waiter was very rude and the experience was very bad.
Fantastic food as ever. Nice atmosphere and a great place to experience something different. The combination of sashimi, cerviche as well as grills and exceptional Asian flavours is a real treat for the senses.
The restaurant has a great vibe and is very busy compared to other local establishments, but for myself and my friend some food flavours were a bit over powered by chilli and mustard. My seabream was very good, best fish I have had for a long time. However the test is always when you get the bill and we reeled back at the cost. I think it would be a nice place to return to if someone else is paying.
Really expensive for what it is - food and service were good - £5.50 is the most I have paid for a bottle of water anywhere in the world
The food is phenomenal, hence I keep coming back. The Service on both times I have been recently has been pushy!
Nice ceviche, but way too expensive for other items on the menu (skewers). Wouldnt go back
Excellent food and service, great decoration, drinks are expensive but inappropriate disco / dance music made us eat our food quickly and leave. I would think it is probably acceptable in the bar area late evening but not in the restaurant at 7 PM. I would NOT be going back.
Birthday celebration! Best Ceviche ever had - thx again x
2nd visit to Angel Court - Exceptional food & impecable service from Staff and in particularly the Resturant Manager Nizar. Chilean Sea Bass (Hot Pot) in the mains is delicious & a must. Great Peruvian food all round. Extensive selection of wines, though a little pricey.
Lovely food and ambiance. Staff were very accommodating. Deserts were a little disappointing. Overall a nice evening
Food and cocktails were absolutely delicious and I’d definitely recommend the Churros and Sour Ceeam Cheesecake for dessert! Restaurant is a little noisey, however overall a lovely restaurant. I’d definitely recommend.
Well worth a visit! Delicious food, very attentive and friendly waitresses and was particularly impressed with the knowledge of the waitress regarding gluten free and dairy free menu options, I wasn't made to feel like I was the awkward one or odd one out, in fact she was very helpful. The baby chicken was excellent and the guys in our group commented that the beer was one of the best they have had. Lots of gf and df options and really had a nice meal. Will be back. Have been to the Mayfair one as well which is equally as tasty.
Food was excellent and waitress was good, but... Somelier could not say anything about the wines in the wine list. Our bottle of wine was taken away before we had finished it, but staff tried to persuade us we had drunk it all. The couple next to us were taking photo after photo with the flash on. A guy was french kissing the window of the restaurant for 5mins without being removed by staff. We went for the tasting menu, but were given no description of what we were being served when the food came to the table so had no idea what we were eating. Didn’t get drinks until we had nearly finished first lot of food. I felt like they don’t neeed to rely on repeat custom to maintain their business so don’t need to pay much effort to good service.
Too expensive for these tiny portions of food, which in the end was nothing special.
The food and bar staff were amazing. However our table service was one of the worst I have experienced in a restaurant. Rudeness and sarcasm are not qualities for any restaurant waiter.
Excellent experience as always. Big compliment for the staff: highly attentive, polite and efficient.
would recommend to go for a tasting menu, beautiful interior, very good service, everything is excellent
The food was incredible, an absolute gem in the city. The decor in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful and the food was just fab. The sharing style of the menu makes for a great evening with friends and family.
Excellentfood, knowledgeable and competent service but I am lad I was not personally picking up the bill.
We were 5 minutes late arriving, we called to let Coya know, the lady who answered was very abrupt and told us the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes (2.30pm). We had not been told this was the case when we booked, if we had realised we would have made sure we got there promptly at 2.15. When we arrived, the lady at the front of house (assume it was the same lady) was borderline rude, again telling us the kitchen would close at 2.30 before grumpily showing us to our table. The service thereafter was excellent, but the first impressions left a lot to be desired.
Great setting, great food!
The food was very good indeed, some of the nicest ceviche ive had. The wine list doesn't give much of an option for those that dont want to spend over £45. That certainly pushes up the cost of the meal.
Amazing food and wonderful decor to create a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend the taster menu for first time visitors.
It is pricey but that is reflected in the quality of food and it feels worth the price you pay.
The food is great but the drinks are to expensive and therefore will not be going there ever again.
Very rude waiters, average food, felt disrespected and worthless by our waiters and very rushed.
This time at coya I was really annoyed how the management treated me. One of my guests did not show up and they gave me the worst table in the restaurant. Shame on you guys will not come back
Both food and drinks are overpriced for what it is. Service is efficient but certainly far from being welcoming in my view. Place was not full at all which makes me think I am not the only one of this opinion. they will have to rethink the pricing structure if they want to survive in this location for much longer.
Fantastic atmosphere, very attentive staff, excellent choice of food. Would highly recommend!
The waiter was rude wasn’t happy with his job obviously oh and the knife
The waiter was less than friendly and not attentive.
My sister and I visited Coya for lunch time and we did their lunch time menu which is really good. you get to try nice range of food but the wine it quite expensive.
the ambiance and service was really good and the waiters were very friendly and helpful.
would definitely recommend to a friend but be prepared for a costly meal, its worth it.
Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Very bustling place. We were surprised to see so many business people out for lunch there. Lovely ceviche, prawns and tacos for starters but small portions. We were underwhelmed by the mains - £31 for a seabass main that was quite lacking in size and nothing particularly special in flavour. Ribs were okay. Tasty churros at the end. Lots to recommend about this place. We wanted a special lunch but £160 for food which included a cocktail each, a beer and one glass of wine was very expensive. Food was good but not that good in my opinion to justify that price tag.
Amazing food and staff
Excellent lovely atmosphere, great service, music and excellent tasty food in sharing style!
Excellent for celebrations.
On the expensive side, but worth it!
Amazing as always. Favourite restaurant in the UK by far.
Food and cocktails amazing. Great atmosphere
Very Good service, better than in majority of places. The place is expansive but it’s also worth it.
