Nice ambiance with a DJ in the bar area where we ate at a window table on a Friday night. Excellent food but very expansive - £230 for 2 with one bottle and 2 glasses of wine (which is overpriced). Good Peruvian experience, just too expensive
The food was nice but you do pay for it. The service was over zealous, wouldn’t rush back
Excellent flavours in all dishes we tasted. Brilliant vibe and atmosphere.
Went to Coya for the first time for a business lunch. Had the express menu which gives a selection of sharing plates to start and a good choice of mains. Really enjoyed the fresh flavours of the cooking. The ceviches were excellent and the sea bass main was particularly good.
Nice restaurant with good at and very vibrant but too pricey for food portions.
Good night at Coya, food was delicious and service great.
Food was EXCELLENT! Everything we ordered was well cooked. All flavours were on point and contrasts in textures just made it a delightful meal. The drinks were also delicious and balanced. We went on a Saturday night so staff were busy, leading to a slow service. Would have rated it a 5-star experience otherwise.
Seated 1 hour after our booking, forced to go to the bar and taken to table twice after the table we booked for was given away to someone else. We sat down, no acknowledgement from any waiter. Waiter comes after 15minutes and says “you want to order?”. I give a full order including drinks. Confirm allergies where I stated that both of us were allergic to shellfish and his response was to bring the prawn crackers on the side instead with the guacamole?? I believe an allergy should be treated more seriously. It’s not a preference! I ask for a wine list twice. Starters even come before water on the table! At this point the experience is already sour and service is dull. No smiles, no food checkback. Food is average, nothing spectacular. Sides were forgotten; until we reminded the waiter about it. Very sour experience overall and one which I won’t repeat.
Having seen this restaurant on BBC’s Masterchef I had high expectations. I was disappointed as the waiter serving our food was either not listening or being attentive or just couldn’t be bothered. For starters we ordered 3 small plates, two of them came and we waited 10 mins, before having to ask the waiter where the other one was. The waiter appeared with it another 10 mins later, having I believe, forgotten to place the order in the first place. We order our mains..whilst waiting a dish we hadn’t ordered was brought to us! When we eventuality got the correct mains, my partners came out without mine.. again having waited 15 mins for my main to come out I had to ask two different waiters where my main was. My main eventually came out 25 mins after my partners! The noise level was very loud and it was difficult to have a conversation. The staff however were lovely and very welcoming and accommodating but the overall taste of the food was nothing to write home about. Very disappointed. I will give it another try because I want to believe that it can be better ...but not the Angel Court branch, the Mayfair branch.
Great experience! Will definitely repeat! Very good service and food was very very tasty! Quality of fish outstanding!
The service could have been better - but the food was amazing!
Food was great, service was outstanding. I was a bit chilly and our server brought me a pashmina completely unprompted. I have some dietary problems and the options were really good
Great food as always (except a little extra sugar in the quinoa salad which was a pity as it’s one of our favourite dishes on the menu). The ceviches and truffle iron pot were excellent, wine was superb and service very friendly.
Lives up to the original in Piccadilly’s high standards and fantastic food, on the margins a better room as slightly less noisy than the original - but the City is not the West End, so good for the week, but not convinced for the weekend, still there are plenty of Friday nights to make the most of!
Really Loud, funky atmosphere
It was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to!!! The food was far beyond expectations, the coctails were excellent and matched the food perfectly. The ambiance was really beautiful and the service was one of the best ever!!!! And all of these great things very fair priced! Congratulations to the whole team!!!!
First time at this restaurant seen on Master Chef. Friendly staff at reception, bar and in the restaurant. Food was quite different and all selections were both interesting and tasty. Wine served in 500ml carafes was a bit pricey but of good quality. Strongly recommend others to try this restaurant out.
The food is out of this world - amazing spicy guacamole to start, fresh and crispy chicken tacos and then - the highlight - the juicy, succulent steak (the best in London, hands down) and salmon. Not a budget option, but the price is well worth a world-class dining experience.
Coya is beautifully decorated and the vibe is fun and cool.
Starters and main course menus were good. We had skewers to start and rib eye steak / chicken for main. Food was excellent.
Cost was 120 for two who were drinking water only. So not a cheap meal.
Where it was lacking was the service which, when you got it was supercilious and aloof. Furthermore I waited 15 minutes after the main course arrived for the accompanying side dishes. These 2 components marred an other good experience.
Fantastic place but was very expensive - watch price of wine!
The food was absolutely wonderful! We loved the experience, the atmosphere and the location. Drinks service was a little spotty
Really cool place - funky decor - great pisco sours and the freshest food found in London. Staff attentive and helpful. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Coya. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Perfectly cooked spicy beef and the corn-fed chicken was just right. We loved the desert - the sweet corn/popcorn/pineapple combination was just perfect, as was the coconut ice cream. This restaurant is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and we weee delighted from start to finish. We will definitely return.
Food is delicious (as always). Starters came quickly. Mains were forgotten - we waited 40 minutes. Hence this time, service was poor - where the standard is usually very good.
Excellent food and service which is an essential to any business lunch. I would definitely recommend.
Very good food and attentive service
This is a self-consciously unusual restaurant offering Peruvian food and a wide range of accompanying wines from different countries in South America. Not for every day but it is refreshingly "different".
Brilliant and friendly service. The drinks are sublime and the food off the chart. A couple of more affordable wines would be nice and not detract from the 5 star experience. I have been coming here for over 18 months and they always produce a great experience.
One of the best restaurants in London, go and go everyday it’s worth it
Food is really exceptional, the service was also very attentive and friendly.
A great experience and the best ceviche I’ve had in London so far!
Buzzy restaurant, great vibe, lovely interiors. The food, service and wine were outstanding. It is pricey but if happy to pay that money I would definitely recommend
I chose the ribs which were outstanding and the ceviche of sea bass. These two were my favourite choices. Friendly staff too.
Excellent food and service
Coya Angel Court is a beautiful luxurious restaurant, with a great sharing selection for an evening out with friends and family. The venue is beautifully decorated and perfect for photographs!
However, the service is what lacked for us. Staff were very intimidating and rude, due to our lack of knowledge on the menu selection and cocktails available, this was our first time dining at a Peruvian restaurant and was very excited. Staff offered sarcastic comments and were not friendly when we realised we needed to order more food, as portions were very small and we did not get any suggestion that we had ordered too little.
I would therefore choose to not recommend this restaurant, the food is great but unless you are happy to get a low level of service and rude staff, I would not choose to dine here again.
Consistently good food and service here, love it! Possibly the best patatas bravas I have ever had... and everything else pretty good too. Dont forget the pisco sours!
The first dishes were good. The main were below standard. The service is excellent but still doesn’t justify the cost.
Fantastic experience, some of the best food we have ever had. The meat dishes were very good, but the sea based stuff was the real winner (and I am not a huge sea food fan). The Asian twist ceviche, the tiger milk sashimi... Amazingly good.
I will definitely go back! Everything was wonderful. The Corvina Cheviche is a must! Good vibes great service
