Coya always delivers something special. Good atmosphere and great food. Band was playing, which enhanced the good atmosphere but difficult to hear one another at times.
The disheswe orded come before the Drinks , the service was bey poor, we ask for baby chair and they have only one , was occupied by another child , we ask for extra tortillas which they deliver only individual 4 and they charge £4.00 pound.. I want suggest to no one this restaurant.. One exemption the receptionist upstairs was very kind and professional .. the rest they need to sort out many things, now I know why they are so many bad reviews..
It was my third time at COYA, every single dish is delicious with excellent presentation and food quality. The bar area is great for a drink and a chat after dinner, great atmosphere too.
The food was excellent but we didn’t get the occasion to really enjoy it because the service was way too fast. The dishes hadn’t arrived yet that the waiters had already taken the plates with the rest of it ! The food was amazing but we had to eat it too fast maybe because it was the last service of the evening 11:15pm... I’ll go back but earlier :)
Super trendy, coole Atmosphäre,sehr gut eingerichtet lebendig, sehr gutes Essen freundliche Bedienung,
Wine list good but very expensive and poor value for money. Food very good.
Very loud difficult to have a conversation and quite manic. Overall not a relaxing experience.
Food is terrific - excellent Pisco Sours - service is a bit brusque as is a very popular restaurant so a bit in and out- the tasting menu is expensive at £80 per head and although food terrific - did not seem like £80 of value!!
Unfortunately, not met expectations.
The food was ok but not good enough to bring me back.
The wine list extensive but ridiculously priced and looking around no-one was drinking wine.
Loved the decor
Ambience was ok but it didn’t match the feel of the website.
A number of things mismatched here and if they were corrected it could be the place to go in Mayfair.
As it stands, it is not.
This was a terrible experience. We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday but the waiters were just concerned about rushing us out. The staff were rude and forceful and didn’t even offer us desert. If you want a relaxing meal I wouldn’t recommend coming here.
Very good resuaturant to unite with friends
Went for a lunch date with hubby, having been here for team Xmas do before. Good friendly service, very nice food with plenty variety on the menu. Recommend!
A sporadic decision to go and it did not disappoint. Fabulous food, especially the fresh tuna! Fab decor and a lovely vibe.
Amazing place and definitely worth a visit. We went for the lunch before going to theatre for a matinee show and it was perfect. The food was Devine, just wow and reasonably priced. The wine menu was extensive. The drinks were very expensive though, dig deep in your pockets!
Amazing food great atmosphere and fantastic service and I am in the industry so trust me! 👍 also not easy to find so make an effort to go there
The food and drinks were amazing, the service was great, the space was beautiful and the music was spot on. The pisco sours were delicious and traditional, the scallop ceviche was out of this world and my lamb chops were perfectly cooked. And definitely don't miss out on the churros. Everything was plated beautifully.
The food is delicious, the service fast and friendly, the wine list extensive and it's a very lively place to be. Loved it!
Extremely expensive £900 for 5 people 4 bottles of wine
We tried the taster menu, every course was nice but I wouldn’t say it was worth the money and the music was so loud you couldn’t here what each course was. You also are rushed through each course.
We arrived on time, but the table was not ready we waited for our table for more than 30 minutes standing at the bar. It was bad time management from the scheduling side but the food was worth the wait.
We ordered corn salad, mushroom skewers and aubergine tacos. They all was spiced deliciously. We ordered skewers and baby chiken and wagyu beef as mains and they were so good. For desert we ordered the churros with oranged chocolate.
It seems that they are not here for the long term , they want to make as much money as possible then close. I say that because everything is really bad from the booking (they cancel the table after 15mn delay and you are allowed strictly 2h to dine ), the food is mediocre , we order a lot of different dishes and first bite I stopped eating.
Cevice are tasteless , even the wagu beef is not tender .
Food prices is outrages
Avoid this place , this is not the Coya we knew years ago.
Too expensive for very simple food
The food was simple
NOT RECOMMENDED: Delicious food, buzzy atmosphere. However expect to pay over £100 for a bottle of red. Plus, we had to ask THREE TIMES for the drinks we had ordered, which only arrived after out starters appeared. The first waitress we asked didnt even bother coming back to us and was more interested in photographing herself with a colleague ... just unbelievable! The food arrives tapas style, ie as and when it's cooked, so our two main course dishes did not appear together, and turned up after the side dishes. £164 for starters, mains & sides, one dessert and two drinks. Despite the food tasting delicious the overall experience was really poor.
Amazing food and service!
Was night before my wedding. Went out for a meal and booked a table for 6. My brother actually knew the manager and sent him a message giving him the heads up. Got there and put 6 100kg plus blokes on a table for 4. Worse 5 star place in London I’ve ever been. Never again.
I had high expectations for the food and am glad to say it met them. However, I was annoyed at being hurried off the table, though I do appreciate the booking was clear about a 2 hour slot for the number of people we were. We ordered the tasting menu with wine paring which is not a cheap affair so I think more time should be allowed. Otherwise, its a lively atmosphere and we enjoyed it.
Confused and confusing place with some ok food but not special enough for the hype and very overpriced.
We booked a table online and received a text and three phone calls on the day requesting confirmation. The place is in the basement with dimmed lights, dark wood and semi-open kitchen. The atmosphere could have been cosy and intimate but is instead completely spoilt by very loud music and noise from the tables and open service area. The waiter gave us a run through the menu and recommended a number of dishes. We ordered yellow fin tuna sashimi, Cornish crab tacos and the much recommended corn salad for starters to share. The portions were tiny. Taste-wise tuna was the winner, although we couldn't see how five slivers of fish the size of a 50p coin and some pickled cucumber can justify £14 price tag. Crab tacos were pleasant and creamy but the much recommended corn salad was just meh. For mains we had lamb chops with crispy potatoes side, chilean seabass with broccoli and wild mushrooms and truffles pot with aubergines. The mushroom and truffle pot was tasty enough creamy mush but didn't go with Japanese influenced aubergines recommended to us. The three lamb chops were possibly the smallest I've seen and not prepared well so rather chewy and lacking in flavour. The potatoes were tasty and spicy but ultimately just patatas bravas. The loser of the night was the chilean seabass. The marinade on a beautiful piece of fish was too salty, with a bitter aftertaste, so we could finish just half of the dish. The waiter inquired about the fish when clearing the plates and we explained the problem. The response was that that's just how he liked it. Good for him but he was not the paying customer that night. Once our plates were cleared we were left awith no further attention from the staff and had to wait nearly 10mins until the waiter returned with the bill of c £150 (we had no drinks, just tap water and no desert). Don't think we will be coming back any time soon.
I have booked a table for lunch for our fourth anniversary. It was a very special occasion to us as we very rarely get the chance with my wife to go out or spend time just the two of us. When we arrived a nice guy welcomed us upstairs and told us to go to downstairs reception where we are going to be seated. There was nobody at the hostess desk but a manager looking person walked past us and sat down by the bar. Not only one member of the staff looked at us many times for all the (seemed long) time while we were waiting there still nobody came to help us until I had to go and ask this person, who previously walked past us , if anybody works there at all. Then he left and the hostess came who without asking for my name or at all for the fact if we have a booking, showed us to our table. At this point I knew it was unneccessary to mention our anniversary in my booking... luckily our waitress was nice enough not to ruin our lunch completely. Though we could see there was some confusion in the service at the table next to ours. Food was amazing, honestly very good. But unfortunately this very poor service made us leave disappointed.
The food was very good, and the express Lunchtime offer was certainly great value for money. However the only thing Express about the lunch menu was the name..the service definitely was not.
3 out of the 4 starters arrived fairly quickly however the 4th starter (tacos) took over 15 minutes after the first batch, the waitress had explainef that the tacos took some extra preparation which caused the delay (However there were a number of tables waiting on food and the real cause was probably down to the lack of kitchen staff on the day)
All in all I would recommend COYA for the food but just dont go there if you are in hurry to get anywhere else afterwards
We went for a date night/birthday celebration on a Wednesday night, there was a short wait for the table so we ordered a cocktail at the bar and was seated before it arrived.
The menu could have been explained better, we had to re-order more food as the portions were smaller than expected but they came very quickly so wasn't a problem and possibly worked out better as we could order the dishes we liked best (which was all of them!).
The food was incredible, hard to pick a favourite but possibly the crab tacos.
The waiter attempted to remember the order rather than write it down (never understand why they try and do this) but came back quickly as he forgot it.
Only critique about the food would be to include more filling in the pulled pork bao bun as it was so delicious but more bun than meat and the sides came quite late in the meal, would have been better to have with the dishes.
When the bill came, 2 extra cocktails were added so glad I checked it, they removed these but it took a while to actually pay the bill and leave.
Would definitely go back and recommend, just be ready for a large bill as you will need to order a lot of dishes.
Basic to average food at a very high price. Weak and overpriced open wine list. The restaurant is for those who fancy loud ambiance, where you need to raise your voice in order for the other to understand you and vice versa. Should I get invited with no option to escape, I would go for the tasting menu. I felt rushed through the meal with no chance to relax. It doesn't say on 'opentable' but seating is for 2 hours only. I would not recommend this establishment.
The service was too false and wine list too expensive
Great food, excellent cerviche. Nice wine selection by the glass. Good buzzy atmosphere
Superb meal with fantastic service
Absolutely flippin’ deliscious! You’re gonna need bank though, but worth every penny!
Amazing food: all executed to perfection.
Impeccable service, highly recommended
Fantastic value lunch menu would definitely recommend the place as it is my favourite in London
It was great
