Seeing how the restaurant is now permanently closed yet still allowed me to make an online reservation. I would not recommend!
Had a really good experience. The food was good and the service excellent. Really attentive staff.
Been to this restaurant once before and service was good. 2nd visit, the staff showed lack of interest.
I booked for the set lunch time deal which I never received which
was embrassing and expensive, also the food wasn’t great and not very generous portions.
A bit too loud for us, music to loud and big post city worker vibe so not as cosy as I’d hope but the service and food was good although they brought us the wrong cocktails and I couldn’t be bothered to correct them
Ended up feeling underwhelmed. The menu looked really good but the portion sizes were small and the main course was incredibly salty. There was also a live singer who, whilst she had a good voice, was loud enough to drown out conversation at a normal level. I may have caught them on an off night though as the place was very clean and tidy and the menu very appealing
Very noisy and the service was a bit slow, but the food was really good and the staff were lovely (even with the customers to our right who were being difficult).
The Bass with beans was lovely. Well cooked and rich tasting. The asparagus salad lacked asparagus. The crab burger was great.
Great sea food, excellent service desserts were just as good as the mains and starters
Got my reservations mixed up. average service and small expensive portion when ordered the platter. I'd avoid this place as i am sure there are better seafood places.
The venue is loud, ear splittingly loud, and seems to be the offsite club for the UBS offices just next door. Large tables of suits who'd all clearly been drinking there for a while, and women who were racing through the bottomless drinks, so by the time we arrived it was much more student union than edgy restaurant.
I had the lobster, followed by the Eton mess; both were a massive disappointment, the first overcooked, the latter had been elevated to a single quinel of cream, 3 mini piped meringue peaks and a massacre of sour cherry coulis, oh, and I think I counted 2 blueberries and a further 2 raspberries spread across an otherwise empty plate, save for the really sour coulis, did I mention the coulis? I couldn't eat it, who wants to eat a spoonful of cream? I even complained about it, but apparently others enjoyed the chefs re-imaginings of this classic pud, so well, that was that.
we had a fantastic meal, being fish lovers it had everything we could wish to choose .... enjoyed the oysters and then the hot platter.. ( only complaint was that there were too many small shrimps which were too fiddly to bother with).... good value for money and in a fantastic location for people watching
Terrible service and when we had asked to take the service charge off, the waiter adds a bottle of wine to the bill, assuming we wouldn't notice. Shocking behaviour!
The food was nice but wouldn't come here again.
Nice food, good service. The mixed seafood is highly recommend.
Not bad. Bit like a pub
A great evening and the meal was exceptional. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and ingredients. It is definitely worth it if you are a fish lover but the menu is restricted for other choices apart from vegetarian.
One minor criticism would be the cost of their cocktails at £12 each but again it is London. Food very good value for money though as well as tasty.
Will definitely go back again
Slowest lunch service ever despite the restaurant being almost empty. Food was OK.
Amazing food - highly recommend the mussels with cream sauce. Also loved the oysters which are only £1 each every Thursday and Friday. Will definitely be back.
Food was delicious but I had sea food linguine & wasn't offered either a dish in which to collect my shells or a finger bowl. Neither was a offered addition Parmesan. It's donetimes just the little attention to detail that makes something really nice.
Quiet restaurant with good service. Seafood skewers and Califormia Roll were good choices.
We enjoyed our meal, sadly it was let down by bad service. Our starters and mains arrived at the same time - the waiter apologised as this was his mistake but refused to send the mains back to the kitchen to at least be kept warm. Also he poured enormous measures of wine from the bottle in an apparent attempt to push us to order another bottle which we refused.
Finally when our bill came this included service automatically. It was removed at my request but it seemed pretty strange that this was included automatically for two people when there had been such a clear mistake on the delivery of our food.
A shame as it was otherwise a pleasant evening.
Delicious food and service! I will definitely visit again soon
Great food, lovely service. Recommend for good fresh seafood
Food over NYE was good with friendly service
loved the atmosphere and food and service are exellent
We had a confirmed reservation for December 24th, 4+1 4 years old girl, with last email on the same day....we arrived at the restaurant and it was closed!!!!!!!!!!! This is the worst experience with open table I've ever had!!!!!
Was a lovely evening, the food was great quality and definitely be the reason I will be rushing back! The one thing I would say on the negative side was the services was a little slow, we wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a problem with us but would say it's something for them to look into. Will be coming back
Waitress forgot our orders and our sides were left on the side getting cold. Drinks took forever and didn't taste very nice.
Food was very good and as advertised. Crab toast and clobster bisque were both very nice. beer selection was terrific.
A bit more food on the plate, more staff on the floor to serve the food .
Fish not fresh
Cold courses arrived
Lovely service, very attentive without being over the top. Do love it when a waiter insists on always pouring the wine!
