Second time visiting and defo be back.. food was delish but we didn’t think much of curry sauce
Quality of food was poor, food was cold. Overall not a good experience
We arrived and were seated quickly with myself facing the semi open kitchen. Service was via a QR code which is normal these days. There was a menu missing from the website compared to the one at the table. The menu itself was uninspiring and confusing, is it tapas style or not? Then you see that when you order anything there is a no option service charge, this is per order even for a drink. When the food arrived it was bland however it was warm. I ordered Thai garlic chicken and Chickenn Satay to start, two plates of bone dry chicken skewers arrived one was my starter and one my main. The main also came with steamed rice and a very small pot of a green sauce. There was never enough sauce to make any dent in the bone dry chicken. My wife had the beef with black bean sauce after tasting it thought the beef was fatty, I make a better beef stir fry at home.
The open kitchen idea only shows the chefs messing about on their phones and just how little work is done to make your food.
All in all a very disappointing experience.
Not much good cocktail options when i attended also had to leave at 9
Waited 25 minutes for 2 cocktails, was sat at the side by the front door away from everyone.
Service is poor we waited over an hour for drinks even though we booked through the app, got our food first and then still didn’t have drinks, ask 3 members of staff where is the drinks still no luck, the cocktail I had was half full after waiting an hour, food was warm shame as it’s international and first time in Glasgow. wouldn’t recommend it.
Lovely food, allows you to try lots of options and enjoy each plate.
The sweet and sour chicken my husband ate tasted funny. It actually made him sick. The carbonara I had was far too cheesy.
Food nice but very over priced for the portion u get Ano it’s small plates but they charge full prices
Music far too loud and noisy so couldn’t here each other
Nice Xmas decorations
Grat food and service fantastic choice and variety of food
Great night great food. Only downside is music was far to loud but apart from that excellent. Would highly recommend
There is no service everything is done through your phone. It was hard to actually get to speak to someone about the service. My husbands food came 50 before mines - the restaurant was not that busy either. They shouldn’t offer different menus if they cannot produce the food roughly at the same time. I think 50 minutes is unacceptable. I also prefer to actually have a waiter who is attentive rather than our food being slapped down on the table without even a kind look. Won’t be back unfortunately which is a shame as it is very handy when attending the hydro
Food has been taken off the menu. Pizza oven also broke. No clean cutlery for main course.
Very very limited menu
no italian food available at all on a Sunday at 5 30 ?
Checked with wait staff in case app was wrong but no Italian /pasta dish available
Expensive.... over £20 for two small plates chinese chicken and cashew and rice
And 7.00 for two large soda and lime food was tasty but very small portions won't be back
Second time dining here and just like the first time the service was excellent and food quality outstanding. Definitely worth it! Will be recommending to my friends and family and will be returning in the near future.
Very noisy. Food was tasty but not hot. Having to order via the app is a pain. Not everyone is app able and no consideration for this. No options for cream etc with dessert and never offered salt, sauce etc for main meal
Ok the food was ok, nothing to write home about but edible. Bit cooler and the pasta was al dente.
That's the good bit.
We used to love coming here before a show. Both Chinese and Italian restaurants were brilliant.
This time not so good.
I booked online and warned my friends I wasn't sure what was coming but we are all easy going so here goes.
What we found was a hard to navigate system of using the qr code on the table. Ours was torn and didn't work so in the absence of anyone to ask we used the empty next door tables one and put a note on at the comments box. We weren't impressed at the amount of info required and emails from Cranside are now arriving too often.Food and drink did arrive although it was erratic and they were confused about the tables. We explained why but we got told off by one guy for not using our own code. Obviously he wasn't listening.
One member of staff did double check we had everything but let's not mention the others too much.
Casual dress is great for customers but it was hard to differentiate between staff and customers.
Sadly some staff actually looked a bit untidy and not inviting for an eating establishment.
Suffice to say this won't be our venue of choice for a pre or after show meal again.
Shame as the concept is actually a good one, choosing from all parts of the restaurant , but it does need a lot more work and thought put into it.
Hopefully someone will read the reviews and fix the faulty bits and turn this into the popular pre show venue it once was.
Food was cold when it arrived, plates cold too, had to send back main as meat was very undercooked, starters were lovely, service slow and music far too loud, could barely hear each other speak
Nice place, a lot of choices for the food :) Good drink choice. I went few times outside and this time inside, always good experience.
The menu system isn’t great. Spend half your time trawling through the various menus. Having to pay with card. It’s basically a glorified world buffet. I wouldn’t waste your time or money.
Loved the fact you have so much choice. Didn’t particularly like the online ordering multiple times and the fact that there was then an automatic service charge added
Good atmosphere as it’s close to Christmas but food could’ve been better
Very busy - rude greeter, food tasty
Service was great, food was tasty but a bit small on portion size. I had a halloumi flatbread which said it came with fries & salad. The salad was 2 slices of tomato & about 7 fries. It was delicious & it wasn’t expensive but I was expecting more salad & fries, if I’m honest. It was also on a teeny tiny plate which made it a bit difficult to eat. Otherwise all great. Fab pregig venue
Food was lovely, drinks took a while at times but it was very busy. The music was a bit too loud considering how busy it was so made it very noisy and the restaurant was freezing cold, I was extremely uncomfortable, I don't know if it was just because we were near the door but many people had their jackets on around us
Food was over cooked which made the chicken far too chewy. Also the tables were too close together.
Yet another great visit to the Kitchen, quiet enough that we could order from 2 different menus and food basically arrived at same time. Mixture of tapas and tempura.... amazing.
Booked in here for food before going to concert at hydro. 3 of us got our meals relatively quickly but the food was lukewarm but we were in a hurry so quickly ate it before it went stone cold. However the fourth meal had still not arrived 30 minutes later and the rest of us had finished. When we chased it up it came but the pasta was under cooked - as we were already late we just finished and left missing first act - very disappointing all round.
We were seated earlier than expected but that was the only positive. It was extremely busy and we waited an hour for our food. Our drinks arrived after 10 minutes and when our food eventually arrived the pizza base was cremated we couldn’t eat it and we couldn’t reorder as we were by then running late for a concert. Not the best experience. Not enough staff to cater for the amount of bookings taken.
Poor service, food awful no Italian or burger food as they closed app. If you don’t like Asian food your stuck for choice Too hot and noisy. Definitely would not return or recommend
Food was cold and tasteless
Waited almost an hour for our food.
Not the best table in winter as it was right beside the door to the garden the draught was very uncomfortable (Table 133) this table could do with being moved during the winter months.
The food when it arrived was delicious and good value for money.
We will return maybe not on concert nights though as it seemed there were more bookings than the kitchens could cope with.
Arrived here 5pm before our Tom Jones gig in the Hydro. Lovely food. Great service, attentive staff. Bonus points for playing Tom Jones music in the background. .
Had visited several time pre pandemic and always enjoyed this time however was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Manager did try and resolve with a free drink offer which I declined
The whole experience was a bit confusing and too much like a fast food cafeteria. It’s not a bad idea to offer lots of different menu choices in one venue…but it didn’t really work for me and my group. There’s probably too much choice and you have to order all food and drink through their app which is a pain and very impersonal. The ambiance was very bright and quite loud. So the whole experience was more like eating in a shopping mall food court (lots of choice in one setting) with table service. Not like a traditional restaurant which is what I was hoping for. Not for me I’m afraid.
Staff didn’t know which tables to take food to. It took thirty five minutes to serve a dessert! Not great.
Food was average at best and expensive for what it was.
Small portions well overpriced, conveyor belt delivery style, no offer of salt pepper or Parmesan we had to chase another waiter to get some, Italian that had no pizza on offer? And as we sat down “we don’t do starters “ ordering via app makes for a poor experience more like a works canteen than a restaurant, made a sharp exit and won’t be back.
It was a nice experience and concept is good of having different kitchens so lots of choice when it comes to the food. The food and drinks come when they are ready which is normally fine but no consistency at all a few pasta dishes came literally within 5 minutes but then waited 15 minutes for drinks to arrive and then chips didn’t arrive till last around 50 minutes after ordering. The food is a little pricey for what it was but I would give it another try if wanting a restaurant in that area again.
