Welcome to Cubé Mayfair Japanese tapas and Sushi Fine Dining. Cubé brings authentic and modern Japanse tapas and sushi dishes to the heart of Mayfair. Our Cubé chef has created a contemporary menu that delivers a mixture of traditional Japanese cuisine combined with European flair. Our speciality lies in the Omakase course; a course carefully chosen and selected by our Japanese head chef, no Omakase course is the same as we only use the freshest, best ingredients of the season. Alongside our Omakase speciality, we have a "Kakurega Bar" which translates to "Hide-away bar" where our bartender creates Japanese inspired cocktails as well as introduces you to our extensive collection of Japanese whiskys and sakes. Not only do we have Japanese alcohols, but we have a lovely selection of wines and an Owner's Cellar wine list with rare vintages. Private room is also available for groups of up to 7 guests.

High quality sushi on the set menu which was extremely fresh. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. The service was impeccable.

Excellent date spot if you get the omakase! Don’t expect anything glamorous- just high quality sushi in a reserved surrounding.

Excellent Japanese food in a central location. I had the chef's Sashimi selection topped up with some Nigiri. It was so delicious that I skipped pudding and some some Sushi rolls instead.

I was there first time and enjoyed the food very much. Ordered a bento lunch...the pork cutlet and Japanese tapas dishes were, I thought thoroughly cooked and seasoned. Authentic Japanese dishes! Services were also good. It was a bit noisy and acoustically not very comfortable when it’s crowded. But overall very good to place to eat.

Quite simply, the best sushi in London.

No modern twists. No gimmicks. Just amazing traditional sushi.

We turned up 5 mins early but wasn't allowed in. Might of been a communication issue as some of the staff also struggled a little. The manager however was superb. Everything was spot on when he was in attendance. We could of been in a Michelin starred establishment. Very small restaurant but great food. Would go back. Thanks.

Went for dinner and the food was good, but not outstanding. The restaurant is small but did not feel crowded and the table was nice and spacious. The atmosphere is low-key comfortable with a nice calm feel to it. Service and staff were all very kind and welcoming.

Mouth melting sushi. Ask for marriage for the drinks if you’re not sure. Fishes sometimes change especially when cooked.

Excellent food, freshest fish I've had at a sushi restaurant in London. Went for the Omakase menu, Amazing experience - probably would have slowed down the service a little bit, as we ended up being sitting for no longer than 50 mins.

We had the bento meal - the salmon was really excellent - very moist and tasty. The sushi was "ok" - nothing that special and tiny amount of fish. Overall a decent meal but I won't be rushing back.

Another lovely dining experience at Cubé. After the first bottle of sake (which we picked from the menu), the bar staff, noting our preference, recommended a bottle which wasn't on the menu. What a great personalised service! It was indeed very nice sake. Food was fantastic as usual. Can't wait to go back again.

Tucked in quiet street corner, the restaurant felt cozy and inviting. The service is exceptional and feels very exclusive.
The quality of the fish, I would give 9/10. As with any top quality sushi, once the meat is brought up to room temperature, the sushi is just out of this world. Notable pieces, the tuna, unagi and scallop. However, we felt when ordering a la carte, the fish come out a little bit too cold, fish felt to firm and not as buttery soft as it really was. Some of the best torched pieces we’ve experienced at an omakase. Would definitely recommend if this is your first time experiencing omakase as the price point is quite fair and on the more available omakase spectrum.

Having read all the reviews, I couldn't wait to try this place out. Having sat down and sampled the food, I couldn't wait to leave. Average food, service cursory at best, all the ambience and charm of a long-dead squid.

We actually were running a little early so moved the table to 30 minutes before our original schedule - this was just as well, because had we arrived at the original booking time of 20:30, the place would have been shut!

Food was distinctly average and not a patch on any good Japanese in central London and many I've tried in the suburbs. Overall the menu is pricey for average fare, and especially the wine list. This was not at all a good experience and I won't be re-visiting.

I suppose it could just have been a very off night, but it totally failed to live up to previous reviews and I wouldn't recommend Cubé.

Maybe it's better doing takeaway bento for lunch? I'd rather go to Prêt.

One of London’s best kept secrets? How is Cubé not full all the time? One of the best Japanese meal I’ve had in London, the cuisine is authentic and of very high level. Service is particularly good, extremely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing too. All the dishes were excellent and left us wanting for more. For such a central location, the food is very good value.

Nice raw materials quality overall, however, the chef is lack of food processing skills, therefore having some sashimi in this nice atmosphere japanese tapas bar will be a good choice. And it is also lacking of choice on their drinks menu and wine lists.
