Great service and a fun date night

Celebrated my 25th birthday here & their outdoor setting is nice & the food was delicious. The staff was super nice too!

RUINED our Valentines Day! We were brought the wrong meals twice and then one meal came but the other didn’t. After finally getting the correct meal the inside of the meatballs were cold. They charged us for the incorrect meals too! There were only 4-5 couples so they weren’t overly busy. Just an all round awful experience. DO NOT EAT HERE!

We have been going to this restaurant for over fourteen years, once or twice a week. The food is good, the servers are courteous and attentive, but the main reason we loved it so much was Senior Server Kay C. He elevated Alessa to something more than it is. He is authentic. His kindness toward our grandchildren, whom we brought often, is something we will never forget. His hours were cut after the first lockdown. Now, after the latest, they have taken him off the schedule. We have asked why, along with many others. No one can give us an explanation. So now we bid Alessa goodbye. We will not be returning again.

Great food and service, will definitely return!

Their homemade fresh pastas are delicious, and the waiter was on point. Dean Martin/Rat Pack style music gives it in authentic Italian vibe. Fun date night!

ate outdoors because of covid. They had some nice cover tables outside but there is a lot of road noise from pch. The food is amazing and outstanding with a great menu and fantastic service. Would highly recommend

Amazing meal!

The food was delicious, service attentive and outside dining very accommodating. Considering the current restrictive conditions, it was a very pleasant experience.

I called to have a wine bottle ready for a birthday/business dinner and it was not done as requested. They also reported no attendance for the reservation.

Always a pleasure to dine at Alessa, most definitely one of our favorites. The menu is extensive and certainly provides something for all diners, and the specials... WOW! Nine times out of 10 we start with the Heirloom Burrata as I just can’t say no. On this visit we also enjoyed a wonderful homemade pasta dish with lobster in a delicate sauce. The entree arrive and not only was it a grand portion it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a filet cooked medium rare to perfection. Alessa has done a fabulous job amid the COVID restrictions for outdoor dining. The team at Alessa is always welcoming, professional, and efficient we want for nothing while dining here. Be sure to visit this month and purchase gift certificates as you are awarded an additional certificate for later use, what a great deal! Love this place!

Food here is fantastic- delicioso! Service also impeccable. Highly recommend the sea bass and tira misu.

I don’t eat here as much as I want. If it was closer I would because love there food and I’ve never been disappointed ever! The staff is excellent and friendly.

This has become a favorite go to spot for brunch or lunch. Alex goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome every time, and can read our minds as to what we want and when we're ready for anything.

First time and definitely not our last time for yummy Italian food.

My favorite Cucina Alessa location hands down. Outdoor dining does get noisy due to PCH traffic other than that we love it!

Arrived for our 7:45 reservation on time: Left 30 minutes later after never being sat.

The service was amazing. And although they were out of carpaccio, they made a special substitute dish using thinly sliced tomatoes!! Magnifico.

The gluten free pasta with lamb sauce was excellent. And the wine recommended was first class.

It may not look like much from the outside but the food and service were excellent.

I loved the pesto served w bread and the squash ravioli!

Needed to find a place with authentic Italian. This was it!

Cucina Alessa is a long time favorite in the neighborhood. I do love the attentive service there. Unfortnatlety the location is a letdown. We love sitting outside but the PCH is very lud and sometimes you can't hear yourself talk.
We still arrived at Happy Hours time and ordered our appetizers and drinks from this menu. We love the cypress and the calamaris with the spice tomato sauce. The wines were reasonable priced not he happy hour menu but the cocktails not.
The pasta dishes are all so very good, we do not have a favorite. They also offer now gluten free and vegan options, which seems to be a new addition.
It is a good neighborhood Italian restaurant.

I had the chicken parmigiana. It was excellent. This was my first visit to Cucina Alessa. I usually compare and contrast all Italian restaurants based upon their particular chicken parmigiana, including their presentation and the flavor. This restaurant performed most excellently. Great presentation! Great flavor! I will definitely be returning. I am only sorry that it has taken me this long to learn about the existence of this great restaurant on PCH in Newport Beach.

Food is very good, they will alter or substitute at will for you. Authentic local Italian restaurant. Never disappoints.

During this pandemic, every restaurant is doing there best to serve us and I absolutely appreciate that. So, the outside seating setting in the parking lot next to PCH won't be quiet, you have to deal with occasional "noisy cars." I don't know if they are short stuffed dues to the pandemic, however, their service was extremely slow and it seems unorganized. When we got there at 5pm, there was only other table with 2 people were seating. In spite of the low volume, serving took a long time for each actions which we did not appreciate it. Food was ok. I don't think I will go back if it is my choice.

Alejandro was a great server! Pasta was delicious, bread service was delicious, I do wish the calamari was crispier. That being said...Can't wait to go back, highly recommend.

Unfortunately you cannot dine inside so we sat outside that now has been created from the parking lot to restaurant seating...noise from PCH was there but everything else was very nice. Excellent service and great food!

Service was fabulous as was the food. My only complaint was the noise from the traffic. Of course, the restaurant has no control over that.

Still just as good, even outside. Kay is a wonderful server who elevates the restaurant.

PCH was overly loud with motorcycles etc. low ambiance grade. food was incredible. pesto dipping sauce that is comped with bread is spot on. wine prices are towards the high side. pinot noir $15.00 per glass. service was good but a little slow. will try location in Huntington Beach next

Food is delicious. It is a leisurely meal that takes a while to eat your meal.
