This was our second visit we all had something different to eat and all of us really enjoyed our food
By and large excellent
Great place to eat as there is so much choice , the beers at the upstairs bars are the best tinned real n craft ales about .
Could not fault the atmosphere of the place even with the Coronavirus kicking around .
Have been loads n will keep going !!!!👍🏻👍🏻👌👌😀😀😀
A great place to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday . Great choice of delicious food for everyone .
First time here, fantastic experience. We made a reservation ( I would recommend as it is super busy ) and the table was situated in a great place in the food hall.
We used the app which made life much easier ( no sorting of Bill's at the end if the night ). We ordered a mix of food and we didnt wait long. Great evening would highly recommend.
Choice of son for his birthday. He will be returning. We chose wrong seating but staff were more than willing to help to resolve. Service and staff excellent.
I’d booked a high top table for 8 people to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday with his family. When we arrived, we got told our table number and where it was located and went off to find it ourselves only to discover that someone was sat at the table and there was no reserved sign on it. When I mentioned this to the staff I was asked if there were any other tables free and just to take one of those instead. The food and drinks were great and I can’t knock the service of the waiting staff, but expected better considering I’d made the effort to book a table for a special occasion.
Yes I would recommend the food and ambiance, however I would not recommend OpenTable to book. We booked as a party of nine, including two small children and a baby who needed a highchair, and completed these details on the booking and, because of the children, asked for lower seating rather than the higher chairs and a highchair (options on opentable). We arrived to find that we were booked on a higher seating table - a highchair would not even reach the table and its a long way down for toddlers. The guy who was in charge was most unhelpful, basically asking me to prove that I had included these details on OpenTable. We asked to be moved and his first response was no, even though there were other tables free with other bookings on. Seeing our predicament other customers already seated said they would move tables to allow our grandchildren to sit by a table. The guy in charge told them not to move! After ten minutes he condescendingly 'allowed' us to sit on an adjacent table, with no apology whatsoever. A great start to our first visit to Cutlery Works.
Great venue. Lovely food and great table service via the app. We had a great night! Would recommend.
Really great selection of food & cool dining experience. With the vendors being independent, the portion sizes & value can vary slightly, but all in all it was great value. I love being able to choose between loads of different vendors. I recommend the oxtail tacos from Fin & Bone - so tender & delicious! Edo Sushi has to be up there with the best sushi in the north. The sev puri from MA-ba is also devine! The app is a great idea but poorly executed. It would be wise to allow customers to browse freely between vendors, adding options to the cart as they go, instead of having to individually select each vendor & enter your table number just to view the menu. It felt like we ended up spending most of our time navigating the app rather than talking with each other. We were also told that they had stopped providing menus on the tables. I can understand this, but it would be useful for those who don't enjoy using the app. Also, it's unclear what I can do with all the points I've racked up from ordering! Overall, a really great experience. I can't fault the food, I just wish the app was a bit more user friendly.
great service easy menu, food came quickly, ate at pie eyed and was good.
3 of us went to The Cutlery Works for a 50th lunchtime celebration. It was half term and really busy. Even though two of us ordered the same meal from the same outlet, they arrived separately several minutes apart. By the time my food arrived one of my friends had finished her meal!! We were able to book thank goodness. There was a shortage of menus on the table. The atmosphere was good and the £5 lunch deals are great value!
Loads of choice.
And the 'kids eat free' promotion is a brilliant idea.
Our favourite place to eat with a great choice of outlets
We sat downstairs and the area was very messy and there was hardly any space to get from the table to the counters. The service was quite muddled - with drinks being forgotten from Buillion even though it was mentioned when the first part of the order was brought over - communication was bad/non-existant. Food from Fin & Bone was ordered in succession at the counter but arrived 20 minutes apart - and the second plate had luke warm over crispy chips which had most likely been sat under the warmer whilst the burger cooked. Pho was lacking and expensive. Sorry - i have not had good experiences with the quality of food or service in the past either - as things seem very confused and incoherent and the food is never hot when it arrives. I wouldn't recommend it - and feel like maybe it just serves a purpose for people with children as it has areas for them to play but actually for quality of food and service i would recommend going elsewhere.
I booked on line and was given a different table. None of us of different ages could read the menu due to what it was written on. The lighting was poor. We were sat next to a window. It was uncomfortable. We did not enjoy it at all
Didn't like the reserved seating system, we ended up moving twice as each time we moved to a new table the staff put a resvered sign on the table and told us we had to move. Really ruined the occasion!!
Enjoy the concept of CW but it was cold, very busy and lacking welcomeness.
Reserving a table was easy and hassle free. The table we were allocated was near the door so a little cold and droughty on a January evening. We found a table upstairs no problem though- it was warmer and quieter.
Food was ok, but service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.
Breakfast sandwiches at fin and bone were incredible, and generous! Only having one type of coffee at 5 rivers was poor, and having to have condensed milk in a cuppa tea was gross. Also, no one there to tell we'd arrived for our booking, so just found out table ourselves.
Went when it was early on NYE, was a great night and not packed as usual which made it better.
It was a bit cold downstairs. No Guinness upstairs.
Another great evening at Cutlery Works. New outlets. Konjo is a must try especially yakatori bbq and Jar Bar with its Balkan inspired food
Have not tried a new pizza place but food looked delicious
Third visit, will definitely visit again. Love the ambience, food was good too.
I love this place, its quirky, plenty of choice, great service and a great way to pay with the app. We came with the children who ate free at the eateries we chose, I had steak & eggs from Finn & bone with free sausage and chips my daughter had gyros and my grandson got free pulled chicken and chips.
Lovely crepes for desert from forge house with the children getting a free one with every adult one.
TrueType recommend a visit.
I love Cutlery Works and the food is amazing. My only complaint would be the price of alcohol and temperature. We visited Friday night when it wasnt wholly busy and had to go outside several times to get air. Would benefit from air con. Also found £4.60 steep for a standard pale ale.
Great venue, staff & food. Would highly recommend to others.
I love this place, but please, please invest in some air con!
A very informal setting which is great for a nice lovely meal with friends
We love it here, the food is great but during the summer it has been VERY HOT, we go with our children so for us recently, it has been in, eat, and out, even during slightly milder weather it can get very warm so be warned. Other than it’s fantastic and definitely worth a visit.
Food was gorgeous, took a little while for some dishes to come but this was explained before. Think the check-in process for reserved tables could be a little bit quicker than waiting at the bar to try and get someone's attention. Ambience low rating because it was SO HOT downstairs. Became really uncomfortable - more fans pls
Ideal place to eat for a group as a wide variety of types of food on offer. there were 6 in our party everyone ate from a different concession and no complaints. The service was very good even though we had dishes from different places the food arrived within a few minutes from each place. Very good friendly atmosphere. Wine is reasonably priced so a good night all in all.
Great choice of food, end up having loads as you keep trying food from different vendors. Definitely worth a visit.
The food was extremely poor, 2 pasta dishes were returned as they were cold inside, these were microwaved and brought back to our table. Two more of our party complained their pizzas weren’t cooked properly... wet and soggy is not how a pizza should be. Overall a rubbish evening food wise which totally spoilt the birthday celebrations!
This was my first visit to the cutlery works and it most certainly won’t be the last. I loved the venue, the choice of food was great. The atmosphere was lovely and really enjoyed looking around and seeing the mix of clientele and with children made very welcome and dogs too. Children could eat free which was fantastic and the table I booked was perfect.
Fantastic relaxed atmosphere, great place for a social gathering. Food choices excellent and speedy efficient service.
Food and atmosphere was excellent, bit pricey on the drinks but overall a wonderful experience! Will definitely be going back again.
Perfect place in an excellent location, great atmosphere and fabulous selection of food and drink!
Amazing venue with great food! But no hosting service and card only payments was a bit annoying
Great range of food and drink. Food generally good value drinks a bit expensive for Sheffield. Very noisy so difficult to have conversations, but a bustling atmosphere.
